People like Fungayi can afford to live anywhere they wish; they are Mugabe's cronies they a loaded. They have all the time in the world to commit all manner of mischief including haunting all those who point out the gross injustice of the repressive regime.
I had argued that the loot Mugabe and his cronies have stolen must be recovered for two reasons; a) because the nations needs the resources and wealth to finance its recovery and b) because to let the looter keep it will be allowing them to benefit from their crime; double dipping. There is a third reason: c) because these thugs will use their loot to destabilise Zimbabwe for generations to come.
After the fall of this dictatorship the new democratic government in Harare should grant three months for all those with wealth and money they know was obtained fraudulently, for which there were no tax returns, bank transaction records, etc. to declare it and give all the details of their criminal activities and, more significantly, a comprehensive list of their accomplices. Of course the state will be relived of their ill got wealth; they will be glad not to be sent to jail.
After the grace period, the state must go after all the errant criminals and thugs and every penny of their hidden treasures; no expense spared. People like Fungayi must be flashed out of the fox holes they are hiding, like Saddam Hussein!
Anyone with innocent blood on their hands must face justice; that is not negotiable.

Since you claim to know that Mugabe has no loot hidden somewhere, then you can tell us how he is managing to pay the rent/buy the US$5 million Hong Kong mansion his daughter Dona reportedly lives in? Mugabe built a US$ 6 million mansion for himself in Harare at the start of the economic melt down; do not tell it was all paid for from his salary? What is the total value of his six farms? What about those of his wife Grace and all the other assets? I believe the Mugabes are loaded alright.
I do not think the Mugabes will have much hidden in the West. “Look East”, as Mugabe himself has often said.
I know a number of junior Zanu PF leaders – deputy ministers and permanent secretaries, that level – one bought a Hammer truck for his mistress and the other had a son studying in UK who reportedly brought back with him from Zimbabwe a cool £15k cash beginning of term. I have heard of many Zimbabwean students who are driving the latest models of Mercedes Benz who live there in SA.
Trust me Mugabe and his inner circle are filth rich.
What I said last time is Mugabe “inner circle” has been shrinking year on year. More and more Zimbabweans who had helped Mugabe build the dictatorship have found themselves used and then discarded. Hundreds of thousands of die hard Mugabe loyalists are part and parcel of the 80% unemployed who have not had a decent meal for a long time. They are as poor as a church mouse alright. They did not see this coming; they were blinded by their greedy.
As for you, Dread Dread6, Mugabe would have certainly used you too in the Gukurahundi murders and, since you have clearly refused to see Mugabe for the ruthless dictator he is, would continue to use you for all his other dirty jobs. But of course, Mugabe would have discarded you years ago just as he had done to individuals a lot smarter than you – “you can not even add for f* sake,” I told you last time.
There are many Zimbabweans who are as poor as a church mouse who will hang for the many political murders of the Mugabe regime. That always happens in these situations; those smart enough to reap the rewards of a crime always get some sucker to do all the dirty work for them! And when the crime is discovered it is the sucker who will be fingered and left to face the music.

So you think you will own 51% of Barclays Bank or one of the few companies that survive the country's economic meltdown? Dream on! People like you never learn.
You and your fellow ruffians spear headed the violent farm invasions. You had grant visions of owning 100 000 acres farms with thousands of cattle, crops, etc. You burnt houses; beat up the farmers and their workers to drive them off the farms only to be kicked off the farms yourselves. It is Mugabe and his cronies who own the farms; you, Aluta, got absolutely nothing, not a sausage!
“Yes we had to destroy in order to build,” you say. What did you build? What Mugabe and his cronies have been doing is plunder the nation’s resources. Nothing good has ever come out of that. The 51% shares will be bought by the same ruling elite who now own 95% of the looted farms. And tell you what, they will not even offer you a job to clean the windows!
The worst thing that has ever happened in independent Zimbabwe is that millions of our people have been treated with contempt, denied hope and human dignity WORSE than the white colonials treated them. Mugabe wages “war” on our people to force them to vote for him in 2008; millions are beaten up, raped, properties are destroyed and over 200 are murdered, the Army and Police join in the mayhem; and idiots like you believe it the whites who are being punished. Just how naïve can you be!
The days of the dictatorship are number; this mid summer madness can not go on for much longer. I do not know how much of the looted resources we will be able to recover – it is being frivolously wasted away as we speak. But those responsible for the serious human rights violations - the evidence are still there - they will be hunted down to face justice. Aluta, I hope for your sake, that you have no innocent blood on your hands because if you do you will be “seating pretty”, as you say, with a rope round your neck!
