Zanu PF
has repeatedly said all foreign owned businesses in certain sectors such as
bakery, retail, etc. must other sell 51% shares of their business to black
Zimbabweans or sell everything by 1st January 2014. Those who do not
do so will be forced to sell. The deadline day has come and gone and none of
the white-owned farms invasions of the last 13 years have taken place.
Minister
Nhema has made a humiliating U-Turn; the foreigner will be allowed to continue
owning their business for another four years unmolested. “In some areas, they will be given four years
in some areas, five. It all depends on the area and individual circumstances,”
he said
A
few weeks ago, at the Zanu PF Congress, Mugabe said the takeover will go ahead
contrary to what Minister Nhema had been saying all along. Well the deadline of
1st January 2014 has come and no foreigner-owned business has been taken away.
Not even one.
The
threatened takeover of foreign businesses was all hot-air. Not that there were
that many businesses to loot anywhere. This is sure a humiliating U-Turn for
Zanu PF but more so Robert Mugabe himself.

National Indigenisation Economic Empowerment Board (NIEEB) chief, Wilson Gwatiringa, said most of the foreign retail business owners are Nigerians or Chinese and that 90% of them are not paying tax. The pressure on foreign business owner is relentless!
We have to shut these dead horses, they are making too much noise; how is one supposed to hear oneself think with all that empty drum racket!

Pray for what? For some one to come and liberate us because we are too lazy to do so ourselves. The solutions to Africa's problems of mismanagement, corruption political repression are staring us in the face - the ruled must hold the rulers to account. We must have a fully functional democratic system of government in place of our autocratic and totalitarian systems. We have working and well established democratic systems to learn and copy from ; we do not need to reinvent the wheel.
The only reason why we have not adopted democracy is because we are too lazy to learn the system and make it work. Yes let us pray although we are not even sure what we would want to ask from God. Just as well because if the Lord was to ask why we need help when other nations have done well without His help we will have to admit "because we are too lazy to do what those other nations have done!"
Of course the Lord is not going to hear our prayers because He only helps those who help themselves.
Where other nations have used their resources and talents well and have harvested a hundred, a thousand and a million fold; we have notorious for our mismanagement and corruption. And so. like the servant who failed to make use of the money his master had left him, "the little he has will be taken away" said Jesus.
I suppose you will soon be blaming God for not answering your prayers to help end Africa's problems because no help will ever come. God gave Africans the brains same as everyone else; it is not God's problems that Africans brains have turned to fatty tissue for lack of exercise!
Pray?! Yeah that is the lazy man's answer to everything - ask some one else, in this case GOD, to do everything for him!

Kagame has turned out to be just another typical African tyrant - he said the right think when he first arrived but transformed into a tyrant soon thereafter. He has destroyed all hope for the seed of democracy to take root and so the nightmare of another bloody uprising hangs over the nation like the sword of Damocles!
Paul Kagame is just another African tyrant, corrupt and ruthless!
