ZESA after $5 m swindler, Chivayo - will not need the 350 pairs of shoes in Chikurumbi N Garikai

“Furthermore, implementation of the Gwanda Solar Energy Project will commence in 2018, following the granting of incentives to the ZPC to enable it mobilise funding from the market. At least $66,7 million will be mobilised during 2018, focusing on construction of a 25MW solar plant under Phase I of the project," Finance minister Patrick Chinamasa said.

Chivayo was awarded the $200 million Gwanda solar project, the $73 million refurbishment of the Harare Power Station, a $163 million project to restore Munyati Power Station as well as the $248 million Gairezi Project, but has failed to deliver.

So the Minister is mobilising the funding for all these projects next year, they will take time to be implemented and to come on stream. Until then the nation has to make do with the ZESA load shedding and power cuts! Would Minister Chinamasa then want to revise that bull s***t about all companies running “full throttle by March 2018”!

“The Energy ministry in October ordered ZPC to subcontract the Gwanda project after Intratrek failed to implement the controversial deal, despite receiving a $5 million advance payment without a bank guarantee - against the standing rules. ZPC wants the $5 million back,” continued the Bulawayo 24 report.

So senor Chivayo, is one thief, at least, the drag net of justice has finally caught. He can start selling some of those 350 pairs of shoes he bought with the stolen money; he will not need all the pairs where he is going – Chikurumbi. There will be space for him but not all the pairs of shoes!

Chivayo has been to Chikurumbi and the inmates will be humming the Eagles’s Hotel California, to welcome him back. The Prison Guards will be harmonising with “We are programmed to receive. You can checkout anytime you like. But you can never leave!”

Wicknell Chivayo made the big mistake of being close to the Mugabes. Since the earthquake that finally forced Robert Mugabe to give up his life time dream of being life-president there have been many small political tremors targeting the “criminals around Mugabe,” as the coup plotters put it. Chivayo would be considered a G40 member and therefore fare game.

Considering the misery many of the people have suffered because of the delay in such key projects as the Gwanda solar power project, it is hard to feel sorry for criminals like Chivayo who cause the delay for selfish reasons. Oh, before I forget, there is a reggae version of Hotel California by Bob Marley, you may prefer that Chivayo. He will remember another Bob whose family you wined and dined but I am certain they will swear they do not know him!
