“The Constitutional Court on Monday threw out the MDC leader’s application seeking nullification of the delimitation report and a delay of the elections set for July,” reported Bulawayo 24.
“Mwonzora said the report gazetted in February was flawed and created room for a rigged election.”
The truth is this is a political circus of clowns who are not funny but are always dragging the nation deeper and deeper into the abyss of poverty and hopelessness.
Douglas Mwonzora challenged the delimitation report because it “was flawed and created room for a rigged election”! Any one with half a brain will tell you Zanu PF rigged the 2013 and 2018 elections using the same 2007 delimitation report which, one assumes, Mwonzora approved. Proof there is a lot more to the country’s rigged elections than the delimitation report.
Indeed, the delimitation report is but a trivial matter. The report is supposed to be based on national censor and the verified voters’ roll. ZEC has never ever produced a verified voters’ roll in the nation’s 43 years since independence.
Team Pachedu have shown that the voters’ roll is one shambolic mess. They have found cases of twenty registered voters all living at two roomed house. Voters being transferred from one ward to another and sometime to a constituency hundreds of kilometres away without the voter’s knowledge, etc.
How a nation can hope to hold free, fair and credible elections without something as basic as a verified voters’ roll beggars belief!
Yet, surprise, surprise! Zimbabwe’s opposition have participated in these elections knowing fully well there was no verified voters’ roll, etc. and Zanu PF was rigging the elections. The opposition knew that Zanu PF was giving away a few gravy train seats as bait - bait they found totally irresistible.
It was for the same reasons - greed and breathtaking incompetence — that the MDC leaders have failed to implement even one meaningful democratic reforms in 23 years, 5 of which in the GNU.
There is no hope of Zimbabwe ever holding free and fair elections without first implementing the democratic reforms to guarantee the independence of state institutions like the Police, ZEC, etc. Only an independent ZEC can be trusted to produce a verified voters’ roll and to deliver free and fair elections.
To be blunt, it was not Douglas Mwonzora alone who sold out by failing to implement even one token reform and has been selling out by participating in these flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy. Nelson Chamisa, Tendai Biti, David Coltart, the late Morgan Tsvangirai, etc. are all equally guilt of selling for the nation for 30 pieces of silver.

Considering Chamisa and Mwonzora were both senior MDC leaders throughout the GNU right up to 2020. MDC failed to implement even one reform during the GNU precisely because the MDC leaders had gone to bed with Zanu PF. So Chamisa should have tweeted “Never never go to bed with Zanu PF, AGAIN!”
Chamisa and his CCC friends are participating in these 2023 elections knowing fully well there is no verified voters’ roll and Zanu PF is rigging the elections and that participating will give the regime legitimacy. They are fighting Mwonzora over the few gravy train seats on offer as bait.
Chamisa and his CCC friends are happy wining and dinning with Zanu PF because they have their long spoon!

Having said that, if one is fielding "undercover" candidates in rural areas and goes on to lose that election, they cannot claim unfairness in the electoral process. By the way "undercover" means fielding anonymous candidates for alleged fear of victimisation.”
We Zimbabweans are a naive and gullible lot! After 43 years of these mafiosi Zanu PF rigged elections one would think the penny has finally dropped and we have come to our common senses. Alas! No! We are still hunting for the five legged hare! We still expect to win rigged elections!
One minute Chamisa will deny intimidation and violence are a problem and the next he acknowledge they are a problem and offered the most idiotic solution ever - operation green mango! The big surprise here is there are millions of Zimbabweans who believe everything he says, no questions asked.

“I do think that the conduct of the election will be critical to Zimbabwe’s chances for readmission. The Commonwealth observer group’s reports on the last elections found several points that required improvement for the next elections.
“This year’s Commonwealth observer group will look closely at all those points — which all concern one aspect or another of transparency and violence.
“The group was itself besieged by tear-gas armed riot police in the Bronte Hotel (Harare) at one point. This did not impress the group. This year’s group will certainly be briefed about that by members of the last group.”
Zanu PF is caught between the rock and the deep blue sea! The party cannot afford to hold free and fair elections because it will lose the elections and power. And if it rigs the elections the party knows that chances of getting away with it this time are very slim. For Mnangagwa the risk of losing power is simply unthinkable and so he is blatantly rigging these elections and will not take no chances.

No people DO NOT know that MDC/CCC sold out and are selling out now, if they knew it then they would not be supporting CCC and participating in a flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy and perpetuate their own suffering!

Decades of mental inactivity has resulted in most of the brain cells ossifying into fat and the few cell left are all Read Only Memory (ROM) cell. A health human being should have Random Access Memory (RAM) cells in which one can read and write. Can get simple messages in such as meaningless slogans and you get out simple and irrational arguments. These are the insane, they will repeat the same thing over and over expecting a different result, expecting CCC to win big with no reforms after 43 years of rigged elections.
Zanu PF operatives have been brain washed to the point their brain has ossified into fat and they commit the political violence without thinking. And to think operation green mango is enough to end the culture of violence is naive. We need to implement the democratic reforms!

I do care about democracy and refuse to pretend that Zimbabwe is a health and functioning democracy that holds free, fair and credible elections.
It is a historic fact that MDC/CCC have failed to implement even one meaning democratic reform these last 23 years, including the 5 years in the GNU. Worse still by participating in the flawed elections you are giving Zanu PF legitimacy but continue to do so out of greed. You and your MDC/CCC fellow travellers know these historic facts as David Coltart admitted in his book.
“The worst aspect for me about the failure to agree a coalition was that both MDCs couldn’t now do the obvious – withdraw from the (2013) elections,” confessed Coltart in his Book, The Struggle Continues 50 years of Tyranny in Zimbabwe.
“The electoral process was so flawed, so illegal, that the only logical step was to withdraw, which would compel SADC to hold Zanu PF to account. But such was the distrust between the MDC-T and MDC-N that neither could withdraw for fear that the other would remain in the elections, winning seats and giving the process credibility.”
Coltart has answered your question why MDC leaders will never boycott elections - greed. And so please stop insulting the ordinary Zimbabweans who are the real victims of your betrayal on reforms and keeping Zanu PF in power and thus perpetuating their suffering by claiming you are doing them a favour in both of these treasonous acts!
CCC must stop participating in these flawed elections; “so flawed, so illegal, that the only logical step was to withdraw,” as Coltart rightly pointed out; only to give Zanu PF legitimacy for 30 pieces of silver!

“Zanu has already done the first stage of rigging - through intimidation- unfair media coverage - delimitation - voters roll inconsistencies - unfair voter registration and many other ways. This is an open secret.
CCC will WIN the usual urban seats (probably) and maybe a few rural seats this time around.
CCC has registered its concerns on current irregularities with SADC and will seek recourse in the event results indicate mass rigging.
Proof of anomalies alone is sufficient to nullify winner. Participation should not sanitise reported irregularities if SADC were to be impartial.
SADC are the ones that grant and have been granting legitimacy through which Zanu have managed to survive.
Non Participation can only be recognised if SADC has advised. There is no guarantee SADC will support boycott hearing after as things stand.”
SADC leaders DID advise MDC leaders not to participate in the 2013 election at the SADC Summit meeting in Maputo. SADC were still the guarantor of the Global Political Agreement then and so wielded a lot of political power and influence. Their advice fell on deaf ears! Morgan Tsvangirai and company participated in the 2013 elections!

CCC are participating in these elections out of greed as Coltart admits. Ordinary Zimbabweans are participating because they have no choice, rural voters are frogmarched, or out of ignorance, they have conned into believing their participating will deliver change!

Mugabe and his Zanu PF cronies KNEW with 100% certainty that MDC leaders would ignore the SADC leaders’ advice to boycott the 2013 elections. How, you might well ask?
Morgan Tsvangirai and company had failed to implement even one token reform in the five years of the GNU because Mugabe had bribed them!
“Mazivanhu eMDC adzidza kudya anyerere!” boasted Zanu PF cronies during the GNU when asked why MDC was not implementing any reforms.
Mnangagwa has spiced up the gravy train seats by granting US$40 000 housing allowances over and above the US$ 60 000 car allowance, generous salary and allowance for MPs and Senators. He has created POLAD to reward losing presidential candidates. Of course opposition politicians are hell bent on participating in the election regardless how flawed and illegal the process get.
What have you accomplished by participating to justify the damage and suffering you have brought by giving Zanu PF legitimacy and thus perpetuating the dictatorship?
Charamba's claim comes in the wake of Mnangagwa's attending King Charles III's coronation on Saturday at His Majesty's invitation.
"The evening is with the secretary general of the Commonwealth, baroness Scotland scheduled shortly before now.
"Zimbabwe is on the verge of rejoining the Commonwealth, which is why the fixture has taken precedence over all else, including meeting with Zimbabwe diaspora," he said via one of his Twitter accounts.
The Commonwealth is an economic and political group comprising 56 nations, mainly former British colonies.
Poor Charamba, he jumped the gun but Commonwealth Secretary General, Ms Patricia Scotland, did meet Mnangagwa made it crystal clear that Zimbabwe will only be consider for readmission after the 2023 election if the process is judged free, fair and credible.
How Mnangagwa and Zanu PF had wished it had been readmitted before the elections because that would have made it less likely the country would be booted out of the club again for failing to hold free elections. Indeed, the Commonwealth refused to readmit Zimbabwe for the same reason; it did not want egg on its face for doing so only for the regime to rig elections.
So as things stand being told to hold free elections first will make it easy and straight forward for the Commonwealth to say no. SADC will be under great pressure to stop rubber stamping rigged elections!
Zanu PF is rigging 2023 elections but rigging political legitimacy is another ball game - even with the guaranteed participation of CCC out of greed.
