Zanu PF has rigged the elections these last 25 years but only with the connivence of MDC/CCC leaders. Morgan Tsvangirai and ahis MDC fiends failed to implement even one token reform even when they had the golden opportunity to do so during the GNU. And ever since the GNU debacle MDC/CCC leaders have participated in flawed elections knowing fully well that Zanu PF was rigging and that participating will give the regime legitimacy.
Chamisa lied about plugging all the vote rigging loop holes to con people to participate in flawed elections out of greed. Even after SADC and AU condemned the 2023 election process as a flawed and illegal the winning CCC leaders all took up their gravy train seats!

If he said all loopholes were closed, then yes as that wasn’t true. SADC & AU confirmed serious issues like no verified voters’ roll, voter intimidation, and ZEC bias. So the claim doesn’t match the reality on the ground.
2️⃣ Should CCC leaders have taken seats after SADC & AU condemned the election?
That move weakened their own position. If the election was illegitimate, then accepting seats sends mixed signals. It looked like they were protesting with one hand and cooperating with the other.
3️⃣ Should opposition contest 2028 if there are no reforms?
Absolutely not. Going into another rigged election without reforms would only legitimize a broken system again. Better to push hard now for electoral reforms using the 2023 SADC/AU report as leverage.
That’s the main reason we’re all here and why Zimbabwe National Unity Council has been created to try bring together as many opposition parties, groups, civic organizations to collaborate our efforts to ensure above mentioned issues are addressed.
You however can’t expect political parties to stop mobilize grassroots support because it’s through those mobilizing efforts that they can also educate voters about this bold strategy to push for above changes.
I believe once we are organized as opposition it will be much easier to coordinate protests actions like the ones Geza was trying to push for ’alone’ claiming that he had the backing of the army.”

I believe all the opposition leaders know all the above facts are true and yet they still participated in the flawed elections out of greed. Mnangagwa, just like Mugabe before, knew and understood the opposition leaders’ greed and he is exploiting it for his own purposes. Mnangagwa created POLAD to reward those opposition leaders who failed to win any few gravy train seats - to whet their appetites!
All the opposition leaders will tell you that they are organising the followers and demanding the implementation of the democratic reforms before the next elections. In 2014 MDC-T made a resolution party congress resolution “No reform, no elections!” But as the 2018 election date and the gravy train good-life beckoned the resolution was was quickly forgotten. This was not surprising, this was the excuse for participating in 2013 elections, as David Coltart explained.
“The (2013) electoral process was so flawed, so illegal, that the only logical step was to withdraw, which would compel SADC to hold Zanu PF to account. But such was the distrust between the MDC-T and MDC-N that neither could withdraw for fear that the other would remain in the elections, winning seats and giving the process credibility,” confessed David Coltart in his Book, The Struggle Continues 50 years of Tyranny in Zimbabwe.
Make no mistake; most, if not all, the opposition leaders WILL participate in the 2028 elections with no reforms implemented out of greed. Indeed, these leaders will be conning the people to participate in flawed elections repeating the same Chamisa idiotic lies of having devised strategies of the opposition winning rigged elections!
If you think you can unite the opposition to boycott elections until reforms are implemented, “Reforms, before elections!”, you are day-dreaming.
Zanu PF will go ahead with the 2028 elections with no reforms implemented confident the opposition will not only participate in numbers but will con millions of their supporters to do the same giving Zanu PF legitimacy, as usual. The opposition leaders will certainly participate as usual.
Forget uniting the opposition leaders to boycott flawed elections, they are already captured, they cannot resist the gravy train good-life being dangled in their faces. The only sure way to deny Zanu PF legitimacy is making sure the people are NOT conned to participate in their millions in the flawed elections.
Focus on educating the people that they are being conned by leaders like Chamisa to participate in flawed elections out of greed - that is the toughest task of our time! I have yet to meet one opposition leader of quality with the singular focus.

My problem, since you asked, is that Zimbabwe is a failed state and we should have resolved this by now if Chamisa and company had not sold out. Why would anyone spend millions of dollars buying cancer treatment equipment when there is infrastructure and competent staff to use it? Decades of starving the health care sector of funds has left the infrastructure is varying stages of rot and decay. There has been a continuous haemorrhaging of qualified person because of the slave wages.
Mnangagwa is procuring the cancer treatment equipment not because he wants to see the Zimbabweans who need this treatment get it. His motive is more sinister than that - he sees the opportunity to loot.
The contract has been awarded to Wicknell Chivhayo, one of his cronies, with out public tender. The same Chivhayo who was awarded the contract to supply voting materials to ZEC in the 2023 elections, again with no public tender, at highly inflated prices. The SA authorities gave details of the criminal activities including the names of many involved. And yet no one was ever arrested!
The nation will pay an arm and a leg for this cancer treatment plant and it will not be long before it too become yet another white elephant! This really is a nightmare!

Chamisa is only a few days old back from his political sabbatic leave and already he is up to his eye-balls in the nuclear fall out of his old CCC party. Some of the leaders he is threatening to purge are in turn threatening to reveal his dirty past.

Zimbabwe is a failed state and the number one reason we are a failed state is our failure to hold free, fair and credible elections. By the late 1990s Zimbabweans finally accepted the political reality that Zanu PF was rigging elections to stay in power and, more significantly, that the party would never implement any democratic reforms to restore the people's right to free and fair elections. Zanu PF will not reform itself out of office. Never!
The solution was for the nation to elect opposition leaders whose number one task would be to implement the democratic reforms and stop Zanu PF rigging elections. The AU is pushing to have United States of Africa with an appointed President for a year on a rotational basis. The proponents had the good sense to suggest that presidential candidate from nations such as SA, Ghana, Botswana and Mauritius with stable democratic values would be suitable. After that, anyone goes! Can you imagined Mnangagwa President of Africa?
Mnangagwa rigged Zimbabwe's elections, both SADC and AU elections observers condemned the 2023 election but could not deny him legitimacy only because CCC and their brain-dead supporters participated in the flawed elections in their millions.
Africa should focus on building strong and stable national institutions, few African countries are politically stable at present. Only then can they consider united the whole continent.
