"A little learning is a dangerous thing!" Zimbabwe has many curses and a little learning is one of them! W Mukori

 So kudya maputi as contrast to eating omelette is now a virtue, the pinnacle of human achievement guaranteed to turn everyone green with envy! No wonder we are a failed state; we really have some really stupid people!

A few moons ago you were defending Chamisa’s idiotic lie that he had plugged all Zanu PF vote rigging loop holes used to con millions to participate in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy. Now you praising Chiwenga to the high heavens, ignoring Chiwenga is a corrupt, incompetent, vote rigging and murderous Zanu PF thug.

"A little learning is a dangerous thing”warned Alexander Pope. He was right, Zimbabwe is a failed state because we have nincompoops and buffoons who know fcuk all and yet think they are God’s blessing to the nation.

We have buffoons who have rigged elections to stay in power for 46 years and counting because they believe they have the divine right to rule Zimbabwe. They are pushing Constitutional Amendment Bill No.3 to extend their stay in power beyond what is stipulated and to give themselves even more dictatorial powers. All under the pretext they will turn round the country’s economic melt down three fold in four years, vision 2030!

Zimbabwe’s curse is to have given the nincompoops the voice and the vote because, in their infantile stupidity,  they are the ones keeping the sell outs and buffoons in power. The nincompoops had the “shallow draughts intoxicate the brain”, Pope warned, and are so drunk they now consider them to be Pierian spring from which others come and drink!

“A man should never be ashamed to own that he has been in the wrong, which is but saying in other words that he is wiser today than he was yesterday.”

A Little Learning

by Alexander Pope

A little learning is a dangerous thing;

Drink deep, or taste not the Pierian spring:

There shallow draughts intoxicate the brain,

And drinking largely sobers us again.

Fired at first sight with what the Muse imparts,

In fearless youth we tempt the heights of Arts,

While from the bounded level of our mind

Short views we take, nor see the lengths behind;

But more advanced, behold with strange surprise

New distant scenes of endless science rise!

So pleased at first the towering Alps we try,

Mount o'er the vales, and seem to tread the sky,

The eternal snows appear already past,

And the first clouds and mountains seem the last;

But, those attained, we tremble to survey

The growing labors of the lengthened way,

The increasing prospects tire our wandering eyes,

Hills peep o'er hills, and Alps on Alps arise!

True ease in writing comes from art, not chance,

As those move easiest who have learned to dance.

'Tis not enough no harshness gives offence;

The sound must seem an Echo to the sense:

Soft is the strain when Zephyr gently blows,

And the smooth stream in smoother numbers flows;

But when loud surges lash the sounding shore,

The hoarse, rough verse should like the torrent roar:

When Ajax strives some rock's vast weight to throw,

The line too labors, and the words move slow;

Not so, when swift Camilla scours the plain,

Flies o'er the unbending corn, and skims along the main.

Hear how Timotheus' varied lays surprise,

And bid alternate passions fall and rise!

While, at each change, the son of Libyan Jove

Now burns with glory, and then melts with love,

Now his fierce eyes with sparkling fury glow,

Now sighs steal out, and tears begin to flow:

Persians and Greeks like turns of nature found,

And the world's victor stood subdued by Sound

The power of Music all our hearts allow,

And what Timotheus was, is DRYDEN now.

UN Human Rights Declaration.

Article 1

All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood.

Article 2

Everyone is entitled to all the rights and freedoms set forth in this Declaration, without distinction of any kind, such as race, colour, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status. Furthermore, no distinction shall be made on the basis of the political, jurisdictional or international status of the country or territory to which a person belongs, whether it be independent, trust, non-self-governing or under any other limitation of sovereignty.

Article 17
Everyone has the right to own property alone as well as in association with others.
No one shall be arbitrarily deprived of his property.

In Zimbabwe the only property most rural povo can ever aspire to own is land and yet Zanu PF continue to insist that no title deeds will ever be issued to rural people. WHY? Because the regime fears that economical empowered rural masses will demand political empowerment next. Ian Smith denied povo title deeds for the same selfish reason!

What many people are failing to comprehend is that Zimbabwe's independence has been compromised because no nation is truly free when 60% plus of thye population are nothing but medieval serfs beholden to the Zanu PF thugs!

@ Tshuk Berry

“I understand your submissions, your points about not replacing one dictator with another is clear to me, and l have always tried to follow your debating angle, what l would now wish for is your suggestion as to which leader(s) to support for the highest office in the land.”

The present political system will never produce any quality leaders. NEVER! This is why we need to change the system, to implement the democratic reforms.

The nation had many chances to implement the democratic reforms, with the best chances coming during the 2008 to 2013 GNU. Tsvangirai and company failed to implement even one token reform and since the GNU debacle they have participated in flawed election to give Zanu PF legitimacy and perpetuate the dictatorship. And we, the people let them!

Lake Chivero is now a sewage pond after decades of raw sewage flowing down Manyame River. You will can continue fishing there and hope against reason that you will catch quality fish. Please yourself!

"So how do you suggest is the best way forward to implement reforms."

The first step is to convince the stakeholders that the reforms are necessary. We have failed to implement even one token reform even when we had the golden opportunity to do so during the GNU because we never believed we needed reforms.

Millions participated in the flawed 2023 elections because they believed Chamisa's idiotic lies of plugging all Zanu PF vote rigging loop holes.

If millions still believe they can win rigged elections and make the system work even after 46 years of Zanu PF rigging elections in this day and age; you have a serious problem. Nations get the government they deserve, we deserve this Zanu PF dictatorship complete with its corrupt and utterly useless MDC/CCC side kick.

Besides there are millions out there who believe the system is working and they are blissfuly happy. Indeed many become violent if told otherwise. A little learning is a dangerous thing!
