What Tongogara said before 1980 does not matter, it is failure to uphold "One man, one vote!" that really matters. W Mukori

 @ Tongogara

It is not what Tongogara, Mugabe, Zvobgo and the rest of Zimbabwe's black nationalists said before 1980 that maters; it is what they said and did after 1980 that matters!

History has shown that Zanu PF leaders did change completely as the prospect of power loomed. They made it clear that if the party did not win the 1980 elections the bush war would continue and thus throw out of the window the ideal of “One man, one vote!”

The party has never ever held free, fair and credible elections ever since. Idealism evaporated like mist in the morning!

Worst of all the party and the nation has yet to sort out the curse of rigged elections and bad governance. Zanu PF thugs still believe they have the divine right to rule by virtue of conquest and have rigged elections and worse to secure that right.

The nation had many chances to implement the democratic reforms and end the Zanu PF dictatorship, with the best chance coming during the GNU. Alas! the chances were all wasted. Morgan Tsvangirai and his banded mongoose MDC fiends sold out.

Zanu PF's failure to honour and uphold "One man, one vote!" is at the very heart of why we are a failed state. The right to a meaningful say in the governance of the country is more that just a right; it is the essence of good governance.

@ Pastor E

“And you what are you doing to stop this madness????”

The single most important task that Zimbabwe needs to be carried out right now is to educate the masses. When you have millions of people who are conned to participate in flawed elections, so flawed the result is pre-determined and participating only give vote rigging Zanu PF legitimacy. Still they participated because they believed Chamisa’s idiotic lie. This speaks volumes of how ignorant, naive and gullible the masses are.

Democracy only works if the people are educated, knowledgeable, objective and diligent in carrying out their sacred duty of holding leaders to account. In Zimbabwe many of our people are so ignorant they all but brain dead. They believe leaders like Mnangagwa and Chamisa are demigods who can do no wrong.

Even now with the country drifting deeper and deeper into this hell-on-earth, with millions of our people living in abject poverty; it still has not occurred to you that this is a man-made problem born of ignorance. It has not occurred to you that ignorance is a curse worse than death!

The ignorant are blissfully unaware of their own foolishness, they cannot self diagnose and so never appreciate the importance of education.

“And you what are you doing to stop this madness????” I am not surprised you ask. It has not occupied to you that the root cause of Zimbabwe’s economic and political mess is ignorance.

I AM CARRYING OUT THE ALL IMPORTANT, CRITICAL AND GAME-CHANGER TASK OF EDUCATING THE MASSES. THANK GOD THERE ARE STILL A FEW OUT THERE WITH THE COMMON SENSE TO SEE THE VALUE OF EDUCATION AND KNOWLEDGE.

@ Workers' Day

How many companies have closed since Zimbabwe’s independence in 1980. Industry was contributing 30% of the country’s GPD and the country was able to feed its own people and exported surplus. Most of our industries have closed, we import milk from SA and trinkets from China. Over 75% of our people are in the informal sector living from hand to mouth!

Mnangagwa has squandered billions of dollars every year on vehicles for the ruling elite and bicycles for the war veterans and very little if any on wealth creating projects such as industries or value added to our mining and agricultural produce!

"Happy Workers' Day!"

In a country in which 80% plus have no formal jobs because many of the country commerce and industry have closed after 46 years of gross mismanagement and rampant corruption. Before independence Zimbabwe produced enough to feed its own people and had surplus for export. Now the nation can hardly feed itself.

Zimbabwe is a failed state and all because our leaders are corrupt and incompetent. The nation has been stuck with these men and women for 46 years because they believed they have the divine right to rule and they have rigged elections and worse to secure this right!

Many people accept that VP Chiwenga is just as corrupt, incompetent and a murderous thug as Mnangagwa and still they continue to support him because there is no other choice, they argue. What a feeble excuse. Their real problem here is the failure to distinguish a real choice from a false choice!

A mouse presented with the choice between a cobra or a black mamba will know this is a false choice because either snake will kill it. The mouse is smart enough to reject the false choice and, thinking outside the box. will choose escape, choose to live.

After 46 years of the failed political system, the smart choice is to forget the false choice of corrupt, incompetent murderous thugs and sell-outs the system is giving us and focus on cleaning up the system as the number priority.

You will never get quality fish is Lake Chivero and Manyame River after decades of raw sewage flowing into that river. If you want quality fish, first repair the sewage pipes and clean up the river! Common sense really!

The vision 2030 is a mirage! We started in 1980 with a GPD per capita of US$6k, a bread basket of the region, with many companies and mines, etc. Today our GPD per capita has dropped to US$2k per capita, we have often relied on food aid, many of the companies and mines have closed, unemployment has soared to dizzying heights of 80% plus, etc.

The few ruling elite and their cronies have grown filthy rich at the expense of the masses. 49% of our people are living in extreme poverty and the situation is set to get worse and not better. As long as Zimbabwe remain a pariah state ruled by corrupt, incompetent and murderous thugs with their equally corrupt and useless MDC/CCC side-kick nothing will change. Nothing!

@ Sibanda

wittering about equality before independence!

Nonsense! So when exactly did corruption creep in?

"The problem with this kind of thinking is that it doesn't point in any direction but just condemns."

There are those who will refuse to see anything other than what they want to see. The way forward was given, you do not accept it and so not only reject it but pretend no such solution was ever offered!

SOLUTION OFFERED: You must reject the choice of Mnangagwa, Chiwenga or Chamisa because these will never deliver the democratic changes the nation has been dying for. Focus on implementing the reforms to ensure free and fair elections!

@ Stephen Chigorimbo

"This is parroting detractors."

How naive! Is Chiwenga corrupt, incompetent and a murderous and vote rigging thug? If he is then it does not matter who also says the is corrupt, etc.? Why are you obsessed about what some one else says or does? Just concentrate in searching for the truth!

"This is parroting detractors!" This is what Mnangagwa said when SADC and AU election observers dismissed the 2023 elections as flawed and illegal. First it was anyone from the West who was dismissed as detractors and now even our own regional and continental fellow blacks are now dismissed as detractors!

What is worse, the brain dead Zanu PF supporters believe the nonsense and even regurgitate it at every opportune moment! No wonder we are a failed state!

@ D Mapfumo:

“So who is a better choice.

Or who is a better devil.”

You are not smart enough to know the difference between a false choice and a real choice, even when the difference has just been explained to you! Of course, it is not your faulty! You are who you are!

In 1980 some of us knew what was coming,we don't dispute other factors which worsened the situation but the main one is land reform which I think was necessary.

Yes along the way we failed in many ways , corruption and what I think is sheer lack of the proper soft skills like financial literacy etc compounded the situation."

Here we go! You are just arguing in circles! The question here is should the nation follow Mnangagwa, Chiwenga or Chamisa just because that is all the system has to offer? Try keeping your eyes on the ball!

@ Academy General

“Adonibezerk Mukori, you are lying between you teeth. Chiwenga is like any one of us. To eer is human and to do right is humanitarianism. A good leader is one who addresses a problem before it becomes an emergence. Chiwenga was a subordinate by the time you are accusing him. Right now tell me if he has any other blame as a leader and is in authority. He shall be leading the country to greater heights.

Tell me who is clean. We have all follen short of the glory of God and therefore, we are all sinners. Even if you look at the generation of Jesus Christ, his descendents most of them were, Rahab Chifeve a harlot, David a polygamist, Tamah slept with the father in law.

Otherwise, if we were looking for a totally clean men we cannot find anyone, including you.”

Mnangagwa and Chiwenga master minded the the 2008 Operation Mavhotera Papi whose primary purpose was to punish the people for daring to reject Zanu PF in elections. He was the most senior Army officer in the 2017 military coup that booted out Mugabe - the dictator he and others kept in power against the nation’s wishes for 37 years!

Chiwenga has played his part increasing this Zanu PF dictatorship and he received his lion’s share of the spoils of power. He is on record saying Zanu PF will rule until the donkeys grow horns!

There is no doubt that Chiwenga is a corrupt, incompetent and a murderous thug. Only an idiot would believe he will lead “the country to great heights”. Even after the difference between a false choice and a real choice has been explained - the idiot continue to confuse the two! Fcuk me!

CAB3: Constitutional Amendment Bill No.3 is just another mile stone on a long path that started with the 1983 Gukurahundi massacre.

For a full video see YouTube, FaceBook and X title: CAB3: WHAT IS THE CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT BILL No. 3 REAL ABOUT? HOW MANY ZIMBABWEANS KNOW THAT?

"t's unfortunate that you Wilbert you want to be holier than thou. You are a dangerous cancer in our midst."

You just do not want to hear the truth and to discuss the substantive issue and so you come up with all manner of feeble excuses just to silence the truth. So now I am guilty of being "holier than thou" whatever that is supposed to mean!

"You are a dangerous cancer in our midst!" Fcuk me! Since when has speaking the truth been "dangerous" to any one?

Zimbabwe is a failed state because we have nincompoops, millions of them, who have a voice and a vote and have held the nation to ransom for generations. Zanu PF has stifled all meaningful debate and democratic discourse, this has allowed the nincompoops and demagogues to thrive and rule the roost. Now the idiots even have the cheek to silence the voices of reason and the truth.

I will be damned if I will ever allow a nincompoop to silence me!

@ Team Pachedu

Revealed that Zanu PF will spend millions bribing influential people to support CAB3.

If Zanu PF can rig the elections, they did rig 2023 as both SADC and AU observers noted; rigging the CAB3 was a given. The mistake here was to participate in the process at the behest of the opposition leaders who knew participating would give the regime legitimacy!

How many times have the nation been warned of the folly of participating in flawed process, so flawed the result is pre-determined and participating will give the result legitimacy? Those who will not learn from the past are doomed to repeat the same idiotic mistakes over and over again and pay dearly with each repeat!
