Tsvangirai has withdrawn his Court challenge of the July
31 election on the grounds that ZEC have failed to release the voters’ roll and
other election documents he needed to prove the vote rigging by Mugabe.
Even if ZEC wanted to give him the information, they
could not. ZEC was so ill funded and short staffed they did not know what was
happening. This was organized chaos; deliberately so. Mugabe mudded the water
so that the vote rigging would be impossible to prove – it was obvious to see
but impossible to prove!
Tsvangirai's breath-taking incompetence is a matter of
record and this time he is the victim of his own doing. He is in this
impossible situation of having an election he should have won stolen away from
under his very nose for the third time. He saw what happened but all the
evidence is being kept away from him by ZEC, the Police and would have faced
hostile Court Judges. All because he failed to implement the reforms necessary
for independent ZEC, Police, etc.
But let me say it again; irrespective of how
breathtakingly incompetent Tsvangirai has proven to be that is and must never
be used as an excuse for rigging the elections. The people have the right to
free, fair and credible elections and Mugabe has no right to deny them that
right. The tyrant has denied the people that right amongst many other rights
and freedoms all these last 33 years.
Tsvangirai has withdrawn his vote rigging challenge but
the people of Zimbabwe have not. Mugabe must answer for all the corruption,
vote rigging and murders he has committed against the good people of Zimbabwe.

The only reason why not even one democratic reform was implemented was because of MDC's breath-taking incompetence. You, Yepec, cannot see that; I can. It is as clear as day! You just need someone to kick you in the backside to force you to open your eyes; I hate doing that but to save Zimbabwe from another blundering false start, I will kick a***!
@ Yepec
MDC did not come up with any proposed reform let alone push for the reforms to be implement-ed. SADC, as the facilitator, would have then stepped in and force Mugabe to accept reforms. It was that simple.
SADC has reminded MDC to "follow the GPA roadmap" countless times but they never listened. In sheer frustration SADC have public accused MDC of enjoying being in government and forgetting they were there to carry out reforms.
MDC have tried to dodge the blame for failing to implement the reforms by pushing for the re-forms the last minute when it was clear it was too late. The door to reforms was slammed shut by the approval of the weak and feeble Copac constitution.
MDC's have tried to excuse themselves from carrying out the reforms by arguing that they were "saving the economy from the brink"! Scrapping the Z$, removing the price controls and all the other economic activities did not stop them carrying out the political reforms. They had five years to implement the reforms not five months, weeks or days. FIVE YEARS!

By failing to implement the reforms MDC made it too ease for Mugabe to rig this election. Of course what we all saw was nothing but the ears of the hippo the rest of the beast was covered in the muddy waters. Without the reforms Mugabe was free to muddy the waters and he did just that! No one in ZEC knows how many ballot papers were printed, for example, so the full story will never be known!
At the time of signing the GPA, everyone agreed that the reforms and a new democratic constitution were a prerequisite for free, fair and credible elections. But as soon as Tsvangirai was sworn in and started to enjoy the comforts of high office; globe-trotting, chasing women of ill repute, etc.; he completely forgot about the reforms and new constitution.
With barely six month to go to the end of the GNU’s term; Mugabe bamboozled MDC into accepting the weak and feeble Copac constitution Paul Mangwana has admitted was “dictated by Mugabe”. As for the reforms MDC tried to push for them to be implemented when it was too late.
It was clear these elections were no going to be free, fair and credible and long behold they were not.
It was stupid and naïve of Tsvangirai to have failed to implement the reforms and thus ensure the elections were free and fair. By pretending he could still win such an election he proved that he was an irredeemable idiot! The whole world lost patience with him. The whole of Zimbabwe will be pleased to see him go back to Bohera to herd goats and good riddance!
@ Comrade
ZEC is duty bound to return all the documents relating to the election safe for such eventualities of someone challenging the result. The reason why ZEC has failed to make the info available is that they do not have it.
ZEC does not know how many ballot papers were printed, for example, because the whole election was total chaos. But that should not be MDC's problem.
Indeed MDC should present this in court as further proof that this election must have been rigged because ZEC was not in control. But MDC being MDC they withdraw the case!
@ Comrade
When a million people are refused to vote because their names are not on the voters roll, another million vote using recently issued voter registration slips, hundreds of thousands are "assisted" to vote although they can read and write, etc. There is clearly something fish going on; that is not rocket science!
ZEC's failure to produce all the info relating to this election proves the commission was not doing its job properly. MDC should have gone to court and demanded that the Court force ZEC to produce the info.
The whole world knows these elections were not free and fair.

It is refreshing to read a comment from some one who has their eyes open. Usually it is nonsense from MDC supporters or Zanu PF supporters and both have their heads stuck in Tsvangirai and Mugabe's backsides. Well with their brains starved of oxygen it is not surprising all they can write is nonsense!
