The net is
closing in on the Mujuru faction of Zanu PF; they are losing ground to the
Mnangagwa faction fast. Rugare Gumbo, in a panic over lost ground, is trying to
recast the factional war as a threat to the whole nation.
"We don't
understand where this is coming from. All this shows that there is no
discipline in the party. It's unZanu-PF-like. Zanu-PF does not behave that
way," Gumbo said. "The party has been infiltrated and compromised as
true Zanu-PF supporters don't behave that way. It's unheard of."
Zanu PF has always been a party of thugs united by their common
desire to loot regardless of the consequences of their corruption and looting.
Well one of these consequences was that someday there will be little left to
loot and that day is upon us! Party members are fighting like wild cats amongst
themselves over the little wealth left.
That Rugare Gumba should project this Zanu PF factional warfare
as a national one is to be expected given the party’s warped mentality in which
selfish Zanu PF party interests have been placed way above national interests.
The regime has never had any qualms about riding roughshod over the people’s
basic human rights including rigging elections and even murder in pursuit of
its ‘no regime change’ mantra. To Zanu PF what was in the party’s interest must
necessarily be in the nation’s interest as the party was the nation. And so the
reverse is also true that what threatens the party threatens the nation.
Mr Gumbo the demise of you and your fellow Mujuru faction
supporters pose no threat to the nation per se; it is great for the nation be
getting rid of corrupt and oppressive tyrants, even if it be only one half –
still it is a good start. Getting rid of the Zanu PF dictatorship, be it one
half or the whole thing, poses a serious threat to the nation but only because
state institutions have been corrupted to serve the party and not the nation.
Mugabe has corrupted the country’s security institutions, the
Judiciary, etc. so it is hardly surprising that the country is easily become
ungovernable as the Zanu PF party factional fighting spills over into these
state organs too. There are elements in the Police, for example, with very
strong allegiances to the Mujuru faction of the party, they know that the
demise of politicians in the faction will sooner or later end their own demise.
It is intolerable that we have a corrupt and highly partisan
Army, Police, etc. but to have members in these institution fighting each other
is a fearful thing particularly since they all have access to guns and many of
them have twitchy fingers!
One can only hope that the rank and file in the Army, Police,
etc. will finally realise that the days of Zanu PF dictatorial rule are over
and so are the days of partisan Army, Police, etc. Their allegiances from now
on are, to the rule of law, to the people and to the country, Zimbabwe; and
should have never been to Mugabe and to the party, Zanu PF.
Still, what people like Rugare Gumbo must understand is that
Zanu PF was doomed to fail because no nation can ever sustain the party’s
looting and wasteful culture. The dog-eat-dog taking place in Zanu PF is of the
party’s own making; the people have played no part in it.
Still the people are grateful to see an end to the corrupt,
murders and tyrannical repression that the Zanu PF dictatorship has come to
represented. The regime dragged us into this political and economic hell-hole
and there was no getting out of the hole as long as the regime remains in
power. And so the nation is pleased to see the regime crumble and go.
Rugabe Gumbo’s threats of the defeat of the Mujuru faction
having catastrophic consequences for the nation will not stop Mugabe and
Mnangagwa finish off the faction; the people have no say in that. As far as the
nation is concerned the job is only half done; after the Zanu PF the party congress
the nation will have to get rid of the last half of the dictatorship.
As for now, good bye and good riddance to you Mister Rugabe
Gumbo; save us from all your belated speeches of contrived concern for the long
suffering povo!

The dancing floor is a lot more crowded than you think. In last year's elections there were no fewer than 28 political party who contested the elections. It is not the quantity that matters but the quality. Similarly there hundreds of thousands of mediocre analysts like our friend Dr Magaisa writing volumes and volumes of total rubbish from the balcony which, at best, neither generate any heat to warm the read much less the light to enlighten at worst it sets the debate back by brainwashing the uninitiated and gullible.

The Join Operation Command is the body that has planned and executed all the vote rigging and other dirty tricks in Zimbabwe and Mugabe, Mnangagwa and Moyo are the brains behind it all. They have been lucky in that they have had some really naive, gullible and down right stupid opponents like Tsvangirai and now Mujuru! Still vanaZvipfukuto have the real ultra-modern environmentally friendly and yet deadly to Zvip-fukuto pesticide in the form of the economic meltdown. The only way to stop the economic meltdown is for vanaZvipfukuto to step down - unthinkable as it is right now, the increasing pressure will force them to - so the nation can have fresh free, fair and credible elections. The truth is the Zanu PF political and economic system is unsustainable because it is wasteful of human and material resources. it is amazing that the regime has managed to keep the system going all these years but now the chickens have come home to roost in the millions like red-billed quelea!

What you have missed here what were the steps to get security sector and all the other reforms; un-derstand that and you will see immediately why the blame for failing to get even one reform imple-mented has to be placed on MDC's door - not Mugabe and not SADC but MDC's door.
The first step in the reform process was to come up with proposed reforms - MDC should have done this and not Zanu PF for the simple and obvious reason that the latter did not want anything change.
Second step; submit the proposed reforms to parliament for debate and approval - MDC had the majority in parliament so that should have been ease.
Third step: submit the approved reforms to Mugabe for signing into law - here Mugabe would do his best to resist but that was where SADC as the guarantors of the GPA would step in and pressure Mugabe to sign.
Fourth step: implement the reforms - again one expected Army generals, for example, to resist changes but again SADC was there to ensure they comply.
Step five: hold the elections after all the reforms have been implemented.
What happened in Zimbabwe is that MDC never produced even one reform proposal, not even one. SADC reminded MDC to follow the roadmap as stated above but nothing happened. SADC warned MDC not to take part in the elections, step five, without the reforms but again MDC paid no heed.
The one time Tsvangirai and MDC stood up to Mugabe was when Tsvangirai was fighting to be housed in Zimbabwe House; they stopped attending cabinet meetings. Mugabe gave in and bought Tsvangirai the $4 million Highlands mansion. From there on MDC has done everything Mugabe want-ed them to do including forgetting about the reforms.
There is nothing more than anecdotal evidence that the elections were rigged not because there is no evidence but because the State Institution responsible for amassing the evidence here was more in-terested in making sure any such evidence is hidden. The regime has seen to it that the voters roll - the smoking gun of the vote rigging - would never be released. Never!
Rigging elections is a very serious crime and some day there will be a full blooded judiciary inquiry into Zimbabwe's 2013 elections and those responsible for this treasonous act must face justice and be punished. There must be no compromise on that! Take my word for it, for now, this will come to pass!

Zimbabwe's economic fortunes will not change even if Mnangagwa takes over; Ngwena has been a key player in Joint Operation Command, the shadowy Junta that has been ruling the country the last 15 years at least. Zanu PF was doomed to collapse because it is not sustainable politically and economically. It is just too wasteful of human and material resources. The collapse was as certain in 1980 as day follows night; what was not certain was when it will all happen. Now we know; it is collapse now and now it has started there is no stopping it!

TAKE THE PRESENT SITUATION, FOR EXAMPLE, IF GUMBO AND ANY OF THE MUJURU FACTION LEADERS HAD ANY BRAIN THEN THEY WOULD HAVE REALISED THAT MUGABE DOES NOT HOLD FREE, FAIR AND CREDIBLE ELECTIONS; THEY HAD JUST SEEN WHAT THE TYRANT DID TO MDC IN 2008 AND 2013 FOR PETE'S SAKE; AND TAKEN APPROPRIATE ACTIONS. THEY DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING; THEY SAT THERE LIKE CABBAGES JUST WAITING TO BE PICKED. WELL THEY WERE PICKED OFF ONE AFTER ANOTHER!
PEOPLE LIKE GUMBO WERE IN THE STRUGGLE FOR SELFISH REASONS AND THE COUNTRY IS IN THIS HELL PRECISELY BECAUSE OF PEOPLE LIKE HIM. NOW THAT HE HAS BEEN KICKED OUT, IT IS GOOD RIDDANCE! THE IDIOT HAD NO VISION AND WILL NOT BE MISSED! This is like the husband who is beating up his wife and punctuating each blow with “Hash!” as if he is beating her because she was making noise. What he is really saying is “I do not want you alert the neighbours that I am beating you up!” He is demanding of the wife to disregard the pain and fear he is inflicting on her and co-operate in keeping his false image of a loving husband who has never lifted a finger to his wife!

Zanu PF itself has hijacked by people like Mugabe who have betrayed the word and spirit of what the war of independence was about. The trouble with Zanu PF is that it has been assumed that those with power are right regardless of the facts on the ground. It is this Boxer, the horse in Animal Farm, mentality of "Napoleon is always right!" that has led the nation into this mess.
Of course Mugabe has ruined the nation's economy turning a once promising an healthy economy into a sick economy. Mismanagement and corruption have been allowed to grow and spread and today they are the cancerous tumours the size of tennis ball killing the national economy but for decades the nation did not dare say it.
Mugabe has been a murderous tyrant who has ridden roughshod over our rights, hopes and dreams. He has murdered over 30 000 innocent Zimbabweans in his 34 years in power and most people pretend that never happened.
People like Mai Mujuru and Rugare Gumbo who are the victims of Mugabe's tyranny today have them-selves sat with him and never said a word of his betrayal of the nation.
Talk of sell-out, then you have to say Zanu PF is a party of sell-out who sold out on the promise of freedom, human rights and dignity for a share of the absolute power the Zanu PF dictatorship gave the ruling elite and the spoils that flow from it!
“We are just reacting to their indiscipline as a result of their decision to oust me which is null and void. They did not use the right organ, as they bussed people, who are not in the structures,” said Shylet Uyoyo, the ousted Masvingo Zanu PF Women’s chairwoman.
What is amazing here is just how naïve some people are! As a senior Zanu PF member she must have been aware of all the bussing around of the few party faithful to attend party rallies last year and, even more seriously, the bussing around of Zanu PF voters on voting day. The whole world saw the hooded party who had just voted in Mt Pleasant in Harare but could not even name one street in that constituency. As a senior party member she was probably involved the hiring of the buses, the pickups, feeding, issuing of the party regalia and, most important of all, the paying out of the generous per diem to each participant.
Yet now that she is the victim of all this undemocratic practices; she suddenly realises how totally objectionable they are! How unbelievably naïve and downright stupid some people are! Shylet, you help make Zanu PF the monster party it is and it is only right that you should, for once, suffer some of the injustices you have been dishing so recklessly and mercilessly to the rest of us.
More Zanu PF officials belonging to Mujuru are kicked out of power.
Zanu PF has always been a party of thugs and there is nothing like hard times to bring the worst of these thugs. The regime is the one that destroyed the nation's economy and now they are fighting to the death for the little wealth still left.
