Machakaire ask Mnangagwa to visit hospital to see people's suffering. Mnangagwa must go. No one elected him! W Mukori

“I visited one of the public health institutions this morning to see a relative and left deeply concerned about the conditions I witnessed.” posted Hon Minister Tina Machakaire. He pleaded for Mnangagwa to go out and see the tragic situation in Zimbabwe for himself.

“I respectfully plead with you; please find time from your busy schedule to visit these institutions yourself. There is no substitute for seeing, listening and understanding firsthand what our citizens are going through.”

How naive! So you think Mnangagwa does not know that Zimbabwe’s health care service has all but collapsed. This did not happen in the last few months or years, the steady decline dates back to soon after independence in 1980! And it is not only healthcare but all other services and sectors have collapsed and/or in advanced stages of rot and decay.

As long as Zimbabwe remains a pariah state ruled by corrupt and murderous thugs who rig elections to stay in power; there will be no meaningful economic recovery.

Both SADC and AU election observers condemned Zimbabwe’s 2023 elections as flawed and illegal. They did not go the extra mile and deny Zanu PF legitimacy as they did in 2008 for three basic reasons:

  1. 1) CCC leaders, Zimbabwe’s main opposition party, participated in flawed elections knowing fully well that Zanu PF was rigging that participating will give Zanu PF legitimacy and still they went ahead regardless and conned millions of the supporters to participate.

  1. 2) Even after both SADC and AU had publicly condemned Zimbabwe’s election process CCC leaders still went ahead and took up their gravy train seats arguing they had won in “liberated zones”. Liberated zones, my foot! Zanu PF has allowed the opposition to win some gravy train seats to entice them to participate in the elections no matter how flawed the process got. Indeed, in 2018 Mnangagwa created POLAD, a super numeral political body for purpose of rewarding the losing presidential candidates with cars and other perks and entice them to participate in future elections.

  1. 3) It would have been foolhardy of SADC and AU to deny Zanu PF legitimacy in 2023 to form a new GNU as happened in 2008 since it was clear that the main players in the new GNU are the same Zanu PF and MDC leaders who were in the 2008 to 2013 GNU. They failed to implement even one token reform in five years, there was no reason to believe they will do any better! Form a new GNU for what end and purpose if the Zimbabweans themselves are contend with the dysfunctional status quo!

Mnangagwa knows that he rigged the 2023 elections and that SADC and AU were right in condemning the process. He dismissed both with his usual arrogance’s calling them “vavengi” (detractors). So even our regional and continental neighbours are now Zimbabwe’s enemies because they dare to point out that Zanu PF is denying the people their fundamental right to a meaningful say in the governance of the country.

The right to free, fair and credible elections is more that just a right; it is the essence of good governance. Zimbabwe desperately needs good governance if the country is going to revive its collapsed healthcare and education services, rebuild rotten and decayed infrastructure, etc.

After 45 years of corrupt and tyrannical Zanu PF misrule, why beat about the bush; Mnangagwa must be told in no uncertain terms “In the name of God, go!”

“You have sat too long here for any good you have been doing. Depart, I say, and let us have done with you. In the name of God, go.” Oliver Cromwell told the Rump British parliament in 1653.

@ Frank

People must stop believing in Chamisa’s idiotic lies of winning RIGGED elections to con them to participate in flawed elections to give vote rigging Zanu PF legitimacy. How many times have they been warned of this but they will not listen. Zimbabwe has had 45 years of rigged elections for Pete’s sake.

Indeed, even if Mnangagwa was to go, which he will, I will bet my bottom dollar that Zimbabweans will only replace him with yet another corrupt, incompetent and utterly useless thug/sellout.

As a nation, we have an affinity for mediocrity and we are very easily conned into doing very stupid things because we do not pay attention to detail. We know fcuk all and yet love boasting of being “one of the most literate nation in the world!” Every year hundreds of thousands Zimbabweans graduate from our Colleges and Universities, some of them do even know what a verb is.

It is not surprising, there is no quality education only quantity! Decades of poor funding have forced most of the teachers to leave the profession or the country. University lecturer are paid US$250 per month, just enough to pay the Harare council rates of US$200 per month!

Like it or not, we are incapable of of self governing! It is not all who see, who perceive; t is not all who hear, who comprehend. Millions of Zimbabweans have proven that they see but do not perceive, they hear but do not understand. The tragedy for Zimbabwe is that these men and women have the vote. And, to complete the curse, we have corrupt leaders on both sides of the political divide, who have conned the ignorant electorate to keep themselves in power.

“How must Mnangagwa go?” How long is a piece of string?

Topic: Zimbabweans have lacked common sense, much less knowledge, to govern ourselves. 45 years after independence, in this day and age, and we still have no clue what constitute free and fair elections, rule of law, etc. Of course, we are doomed!

Time: 7 pm UK and 8 pm Zimbabwe (in about 1.5 hours from now)

@ Ostallos Siziba

He participated in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy and perpetuate the dictatorship out of greed. He conned then people to participate with lies CCC would win RIGGED elections. And now he is pontificating about Zanu PF tyranny to hoodwink the people into believing he cares!

The big surprise is millions are conned and hoodwinked. They have the vote and hence the political power to hold the nation to ransom - and they are doing exactly that!

Ultimately, nations get the government they deserve and we certainly deserve this corrupt and tyrannical Zanu PF dictatorship complete with its entourage of equally corrupt and utterly useless MDC/CCC sellouts.

“A fool is some one who does not want to hear anything bad said about ED/Chamisa/Zanu PF/CCC!”

How true! Worst of all there are millions of fools in Zimbabwe. Millions!

We do not to hold leaders to account and yet we still want good governance. How can we have competent leaders when we fail to remove those who have failed because we placed them on pedestals making them demigods!

@ Blare

Speaking on why Singapore is a successful and prosperous nation. Lee Kuan Yew decided English would be the official language, Singapore will bring in the best capital wherever it comes from and there will be no corruption.

There are many good examples we can learn from others and yet have learned nothing and hence the reason we are a failed state.

Very true! After 25 years and MDC/CCC leaders have failed to implement even one token reform, one has to ask what will it take for these people to finally realise that Chamisa & Co. are sellouts? What!!!

Zimbabwe is a failed state. It is clear that many do not even have the common sense to admit the failure much less what to do about it. After 45 years of independence, in this day and age, and we cannot even define what constitute free and fair elections!

Until we learn to deal with this curse of rigged elections, Zimbabwe will remain a failed state!

@ Ladismavusa

The truth will never change or to be relevant because you do not want to hear it! Chamisa lied about about plugging vote rigging loop hole to con you to participate in flawed 2023 election and gave Zanu PF legitimacy. Worse still, he and his cronies are gearing to do the same come 2028!

@ Ladismavusa

And the normal people are those who are conned to believe idiotic lies of CCC winning RIGGED elections and participate in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy and perpetuate the dictatorship? Or are the normal people people like you, Zanu PF agents masquerading as Chamisa chete chete brigade members to stifle debate and silence those who dare speak the truth? You have not silenced me much less the truth! Try harder!

@ Tadiwa

Zanu PF has rigged elections for 45 years and MDC/CCC has conned people to participate in flawed elections to perpetuate the dictatorship for the last 25 years. I have not heard you complain that this is repetitious much less of the dire consequences of the rigged elections. And yet you are fuming and frothing out of every orifice because I have warned that Chamisa is gearing to con the nation into participating in yet another rigged elections. Why?

You have no clue what the rigged elections are about nor their dire consequences. Your blind allegiance is to Chamisa, he is your demigod. You cannot bear to hear that he is a liar, corrupt and utterly useless. Well, he is! And I am here to knock some sense into your empty head.

Zimbabwe is a failed state and all because we have failed to hold free and fair elections. 2 million village idiots were conned to participate in flawed 2023 elections because they believed an idiotic lie of CCC winning RIGGED elections. If we do not knock some sense into the idiots they will be conned to participate in flawed 2028 elections! I have the sludge hammer for the purpose.

With each sludge hammer blow, the nonsense is coming out in the form of fumes and froth from every orifice in the village idiots.

“A Meeting was held yesterday to deal with the Medical challenges of the country and come out with how funds could be raised to cover costs to buy medicines.

Those who attended are as follows:
1. Muthuli Ncube.
2. ZIYAMBI ZIYAMBI.
3. kuda Tagwirei.
4. George Guvamatanga.
5. John Mangundya.
6. John Mushayavanu.

The meeting agreed that the funds be raised through increasing levy on fuel by 04 Cents per Litre.”

Kiya kiya! Last week the regime held an emergence meeting to repair Victoria Falls to Bulawayo road after embarrassing photos of potholes circulated on social media. This week’s emergence meeting is to discuss the shortage of medicine in hospitals after an avalanche of stories talking of the sorry state in our hospitals and clinics country wide. The US$230 per month poor salaries paid to University lecturers, power cuts, no water, etc. are some of the many embarrassing stories in the pipeline!

The money for the medicine is to come from more taxes. Zimbabweans are one of the heavily taxed people on earth already! The country is losing US$1.6 billion or 80% of its US$2 billion gold export to gold smugglers alone. Why is the regime not doing something to end this haemorrhaging of the nation’s wealth!

This is kiya kiya, chaotic crisis management. This is not the way to run the nation’s affairs! And 45 years of this chaos have left their mark; everything is in varying stages of rot and decay. Zimbabwe is a failed state and, until we cure ourselves of the curse of rigged elections, the country will continue to sink deeper and deeper into the abyss.

President Boko, if it takes two years to push a tender through, which can be done in a matter of days, then you must get the relevant authorities to review the process. Subverting the democratic system is not the answer.

Botswana's political stability and steady economic growth is founded on the country's democratic stability.

Do not be fooled by President Ibrahim Traore's autocratic rule success into believing autocracy works. We in Zimbabwe have had two dictators these last 45 years with tragic consequences. Indeed, we are still stuck with the dictatorship!

President Boko, Botswana's democracy is not broken: you should therefore not subvert it and brake it!
