The worst constitutional coup is the systematic denial of the ordinary Zimbabwean's fundamental right to a meaningful say in the governance of the country. Zau PF has rigged elections for 46 years and counting and has managed to et away with it because the regime has always managed to manufacture a decoy to draw the nation's attention away from the dirty and serious business of rigging the elections.
Duck decoys are realistic, floating, or stationary models used to attract wildfowl by simulating a safe, resting flock. Primarily used for hunting and, in some cases, conservation, modern decoys are often made of durable, UV-resistant plastic, with specialized options like spinning-wing, jerk-rigs, or full-body models for increased realism.
The real surprise is how millions have fallen for this time and time again.
The constitutional amendment No. 3 is the latest Zanu PF decoy. The amendment started as ED2030 Agenda, a decoy to draw attention away from the fact that Mnangagwa had just blatantly rigged the 2023 elections, both SADC and AU election observers had condemned the election process as flawed and illegal. ED2030 Agenda was called for extending Mnangagwa’s stay in office beyond 2028. This outraged the naive and gullible they forgot about him being illegitimate.
ED2030 Agenda has now morphed into constitutional amendment No. 3. and is still pushing to extend Mnangagwa’s stay in office beyond 2028. The only Zanu PF member who oppose amendment No.3 are those opposed to Mnangagwa staying in power beyond 2028 because they too want to be top dog.
All the other changes in amendment No. 3 will only help Zanu PF consolidate its struggle hold on power, no Zanu PF member object to these. Zanu PF thugs are like baboons they will fight amongst themselves but when facing a common enemy, they fight as one!
Mnangagwa seeking to extend his stay in office is a double edged knife it will benefit Mnangagwa but the party too since it has successful draw attention of the rigged 2023 elections away and the whole party has benefited. On the other hand Mnangagwa has failed to revive the economy and that made the party more and more unpopular with the people. Amendment No.3 is offering the regime more vote rigging tools.
The bottom line is:
- baboons are fighting each other to stop Mnangagwa extending his stay in office beyond 2028
- the baboons are united in fighting to ensure Zanu PF rigs the next elections and get away with it!
Zanu PF thugs KNOW the amendment is serving the double purpose keeping rigged elections off the national agenda. The people do not KNOW that! After 46 years of rigged elections, 46 years of being conned with decoys and lies, the people have yet to realise they are being taken for fools.

If Zanu PF is able to rig the next elections whether amendment No. 3 passed or not we will have the Zanu PF dictatorship in place. Whether the dictator is Mnangagwa or some one else is academic! The A1 fight is stopping Zanu PF rigging the next elections or making sure the regime does not get away with it. Amendment No. 3 is a decoy, to make sure we ignore the real important issue!

On my own there is nothing l can do. I am a firm believer in the power of collective action. The reason we are building CDF openly like this is so that we can tap into the collective wisdom and power that we individually possess but is useless when we are alone.
My personal opinion is that the struggle is both legal and political. We fight in the courts, streets, diplomatically and technologically.
We need to reach our people everywhere, educate each other and begin to speak up. The change affects everybody from teachers, to soldiers to villagers. They need to know and to realize that we need them to say NO too.

Like it or not amendment No.3 is a decoy. Zanu PF does not want to discuss the scourge of rigged elections and has again and again managed to avoid this by throwing decoys.
Mnangagwa rigged 2023 elections and both SADC and AU election observers condemned the process as flawed and illegal. He immediately introduced ED2030 Agenda to draw the fire away the accusation that he is illegitimate. It worked! ED2030 has morphed into amendment No.3. The cow bone has morphed into an elephant thigh bone to a puppy!
Like it or not many people see the opposition of amendment No. 3 as the panacea to the nation’s 46 year old curse of rigged elections and bad governance. They will be lured into participating in the fight against this amendment and in like fashion lured into participating in yet another flawed election. Zanu PF will blatantly rig the election and thus perpetuate the dictatorship regardless what happens to the amendment; as I said, it is a decoy.
Our greatest duty to the nation is to educate the people and stop them repeating the same mistake over and over again. Our duty is to make sure the nation’s attention is focused on the important business of implementing the democratic reforms and end the curse of rigged elections and not waste time on trivial matters.
Constitutional amendment No. 3 is a decoy and no amount of campaigning by CDF or any group will ever change that!
Trump is like ED. Zimbabwe’s economy is in total meltdown and Mnangagwa keeps telling us Zimbabwe will become an upper middle income nation, vision 2030. How ironic, he is even using vision 2030, a mirage, to justify why he should stay in power beyond the 2028 limit!
Mnangagwa and Zanu PF rigged 2023 elections. He is illegitimate and now, through amendment No. 3, is seeking to extend his illegitimacy by brushing aside the constitution.
