Chihuri dismiss MDC Minister Mutsekwa’s claim that MDC has been meeting the country’s security sector chiefs.
"Some of us have no business talking to individuals of no substance whose sole purpose and agenda is to create confusion within the rank and file of the defence and security forces,” said Police chief, Chihuri.
"We are too busy to engage confused malcontents who do not know their identity and have a propensity to destroy what others, dead and alive, fought for.
They must stop
abusing the freedom and democracy that so many Zimbabweans died for. I advise
the journalists to stop being used in this regard."
The trouble is that MDC have failed to produce the narrative exposing the lie that all these critical of Zanu PF are malcontents and puppets of the West bend on regime change. There is a crying need for a narrative underlining the fact that the right to a free and fair and meaningful vote is a fundamental right and a key component of the freedom and liberty so many died in the war of independence.
The consequence of any election process, like any other race, is that there will be a winner and loser(s). It is totally unacceptable that anyone, having lost, should cheat in any way or reject the result and Zanu PF has been doing just that for years under the pretext that those challenging their hold on power are traitors and agencies of outsiders.

Zanu PF boycotted the meeting where President Zuma’s team was present. The latter is pushing for democratic reforms which Zanu PF has resisted for the last five years.
Biti said: “It has been clear to some of us that they (Zanu PF) are not interested in the facilitation team anymore.
“Because Zanu PF boycotted the meeting, there was no work done. It’s unacceptable for a party to boycott such meetings and now the facilitation team will have to sculpt a way forward.”
Zanu PF has the upper hand on this and President Zuma will only have egg on his face if he keeps pushing!
There are reports that MDC want the life of the current parliament extended beyond the 29 June 2013 to allow for the security sector, media, etc. reforms the party is pushing for.
MDC has not produced any details of what these reforms should be. The party has had the last five years to do so but have yet to come up with anything.
If the life of parliament was to be extended to allow MDC to come up with the details then the extension will have to be indefinite because they will never come up with anything!
President Zuma will visit Zimbabwe "soon" says a Tsvangirai aid to push for the implementation of the reforms. The SA President is being ill advised on this matter.
The truth is Tsvangirai should have had all these reforms implemented years ago and by agreeing to the weak Copac Constitution which is silent about the reform it is now impossible to push these reforms through. Mugabe will accuse SADC of trying to dictate to Zimbabwe what constitution the country should have; SADC will be exceeding its GPA mandate and thus interfering in Zimbabwe's internal affairs.
President Zuma has lost this fight, not his fault but still he has lost. People should know when they have lost because by pushing this further the spotlight and blame will shift from Tsvangirai to him! Of course Tsvangirai will love nothing more than to blame President Zuma for letting Zimbabwe down.
Being in Tsvangirai's corner is one thing but stepping into the ring and propping up the floored Tsvangirai whose knees and wobbling like jelly is unwise because the knockout punch will floor both Tsvangirai and Zuma!
SADC leaders have advised Tsvangirai repeatedly in the last five years to implement the reforms but, of course, the MDC would not listen. It is time the SADC leaders paid Tsvangirai back with his own coin. There is nothing more futile then fighting a lost battle; Tsvangirai is not smart enough to see it but that is no excuse for them close their eyes to that reality!
A delegation from the European Parliament’s Development Committee also arrived in Zim-babwe this week, prompting the state controlled media to describe the visits by the western nations as ‘stampedes’ and ‘re-engagement overdrive’.
Both Jackson and Young have been quoted in the Herald newspaper calling for the lifting of sanctions against Zimbabwe, although critics wonder why their calls are only coming out now since the restrictions have been in place for over a decade.
PM Tsvangirai and MDC had their hour upon the stage and turned out to be totally useless. They had the best chance yet to change the destiny of the country but have messed up, blun-dering from pillar to post. CNN’s Becky Anderson was right to dismiss they, politically, “toothless” dogs.
The West, always the first off the starting blocks, has seen MDC is a spent political force and therefore it is a waste of time talking to them. Zanu PF is the only game in town and so they have to choice but deal with Zanu PF and that is exactly what the West is doing.
No doubt many Zimbabweans are going to soldier on for a few more years giving Tsvangirai and MDC they unquestioning support and blind loyalty, just as they did with Mugabe and Zanu PF. As a people, we have been very slow to react to these political realities and have paid dearly for it.
The full measure of MDC’s failure to bring democratic change has dawned on Zimbabweans, still the nation will pay the heavy price regardless.
@ Chimbwido
The West is lifting the sanctions against Zanu PF is not proof they approve of Zanu PF and its policies.
The West is simply acknowledging that Zimbabweans have failed to change any meaningful change in the country's political system because Tsvangirai and MDC had no political "teeth" to accomplish that change as CNN's Berky Anderson rightly said. It is to be expected that you and Zanu PF should want to read more into this but to suggest that the West approve Zanu PF mismanagement, corruption and brutal repression is a bridge too far!
Zimbabwe has become the living proof for the white racists and supremacists from the days of slavery to today "that blacks are incapable of self-rule!" Only an idiot like you Chimbwido would believe someone like Rev Jesse Jackson and Andrew Young see nothing but shame in this!
@ Rudo W
I agree with you that MDC has failed to deliver any meaningful change but would not count on Zanu PF not using violence in the coming elections. It is Zanu PF's tramp card to ensure victory and they will play it, just to be sure!
Tsvangirai is a "flawed and indecisive character" as USA Ambassador Chris Dell said years ago. Deep down, Zimbabweans have known the Ambassador was right. Indeed even Tsvangirai's fellow MDC leaders like Bennett, Biti and Chamisa are quoted in the same WikiLeaks as the Ambassador saying the same thing.
We have done nothing to replace Tsvangirai or MDC even in the face of the growing moun-tain of evidence of their breath taking incompetence because searching for replacement(s) was too much effort. Mugabe and Zanu PF have been in power all these years for exactly the same reason, replacing them was too much effort. We are a very laid-back people! Well the chickens have come home to roost and we are once again going to pay dearly for our folly!
A few Zimbabweans are beginning to see the grim reality that there will be no free and fair elections and no new Zimbabwe because MDC failed to deliver any democratic change. Many are still hanging on, hoping against hope that there will be "free and fair elections and a new Zimbabwe", as Tsvangirai promised regardless the fact on the ground! In a few months when the nation is engulfed with the mindless violence; then the penny will drop!
