MDC-T Gutu "kindly" ask ZEC Makarau to resign - what of accounting for rigged elections!

“When you were appointed chairperson of the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission ( ZEC ) a few years ago, I was very pleased and in fact, I was convinced that you were going to clean up the mess at the ZEC and that you would, in your typical hardworking manner, ensure that the ZEC would promptly regain its lost respect and integrity,” wrote motor-mouth Obert Gutu of ZEC chairperson Judge Makarau.

Well she has not done any of those things as motor-mouth himself has gone on to admit.

When Makarau was proposed before the 2013 elections it was known that she was a Zanu PF stooge who would never stand up for justice and to what would be demanded of ZEC for free and fair elections. MDC leaders were warned of this but, as usual, they did not listen.

Now that the damage has been done, motor-mouth admits he is a poor judge of character and is “kindly” asking Makarau to resign.

“As your learned colleague, I hereby kindly call upon you to search your conscience and make a decision whether it is worth your while to retain your job as the ZEC chairperson. You have an otherwise impeccable professional reputation to protect and I know that in your heart of hearts, you are not enjoying your job as the top dog at the ZEC. All things being equal, I know that one day very soon you will find it fit and proper not to continue to be associated with the insipid rot at the ZEC,” wrote the equally insipid Gutu.

The right to a meaningful free and fair vote is a birth right of every Zimbabwean and the denial of this basic right is at the very heart of this nation’s economic and political problems and the suffering and deaths of so many of our people. We know the 2013 elections were blatantly rigged, for example; this is a very serious crime against the nation and will be thoroughly investigated and those responsible will be punished. As ZEC chairperson it is inconceivable that she would have had no role in this!

What is really annoying about motor-mouth Gutu and his fellow MDC idiots is that they had the chance to implement the democratic reforms which have created the democratic institutions the nation needed but failed to get even one reform implemented. And now the village idiots are going around trying to reform some of these defective institutions like ZEC by call for the resignation of one official as if that alone is enough to guarantee free, fair and credible elections.

Gutu; of course, Mugabe would just appoint another equally rotten judge to replace Makarau even if she was to go, you moron.

We want all the democratic reforms agreed in the 2008 GPA implemented and none of the Obert Gutu “do me a favour and resign” nonsense!

People like Arthur Mutambara realised that they had fcuked up big time by failing to implement the reforms and he has quietly disappeared since the 31 July 2013 elections. Now Tendai Biti has done the same. Zimbabwe will be better off in terms of achieving our national objective of ending the Zanu PF dictatorship if we could get all the other corrupt and incompetent MDC leaders to walk off the political stage. Sadly that will not happen, now that the likes of Obert Gutu and Morgan Tsvangirai have tasted power nothing short of shooting them will stop them getting back into power.

Last time MDC leaders betrayed the nation by failing to deliver any democratic changes although they had all the opportunities to do so because Mugabe bribed them. Of course they are now promising to deliver reforms but they will never deliver any reforms either because they are corrupt and incompetent. It would be folly for this nation to be conned again by the likes of Obert Gutu!
