Ncube does not regret helping Mugabe rig 2013 elections but the tyrant's trivialization of economic crisis!

If you cannot blind them with brilliance, baffles them with bull! It seems all the MDC leaders have taken this to heart for there is now a serious competition amongst themselves of penning off one article after another; all mourning the nation’s economic and political mess, all saying MDC has all the solutions but very careful never to give any detail and, most important of all, all say absolutely nothing about the role they played during the GNU to ensure Mugabe and Zanu PF rigged the elections and stayed in power.

"As if the collect shame of all genuine patriots was not enough punishment, what is shocking to the marrow is to witness the colloquialism that President Robert Mugabe's ruling party, or should I say, his overzealous cronies in charge of their communication, chooses to trivialise what is meant to be a period of objective self-reflection given that Zimbabwe is on an accelerated trajectory of self-destruction," wrote Professor Ncube.

He could have said this in five simple words but he is not called Professor “Verbosity” Ncube for his good looks!

Professor, if you would take your head out of your a*** for once, the nation does not give a damn that Mugabe and his Zanu PF cronies are “trivializing what is meant to be a period of objective self-reflection given that Zimbabwe is on an accelerated trajectory of self-destruction”. We do not what this economic meltdown much less an “accelerated” one, period!

You and your fellow MDC leaders were in the GNU to implement the democratic reforms everyone agreed were necessary for free, fair and credible elections. After the five years of the GNU you failed to get even one reform implemented. Because the July 2013 elections were not free and fair Mugabe was able to blatantly rig the vote and stay in power.

Zimbabwe has been stuck in economic hell because we are stuck with a regime whose economic policies have failed although it refuses to admit it. If a healthy and functioning democracy the people would have removed the failed regime but not so in Zimbabwe. We have held the periodic elections on time all these last 35 years but have failed to remove Zanu PF because all elections have been fixed to ensure there is no regime change.

The raft democratic reforms you, Professor, and your MDC friends were tasked to implement during the GNU were meant dismantle the Zanu PF fixtures that had made it impossible to hold free, fair and credible elections in the past. By failing to implement the reform you have allowed Mugabe and Zanu PF to hold yet another election in which there would be no regime change!

With Mugabe and Zanu PF back in power pursuing their old failed economic policies, it was clear there was not going to be any economic recovery but accelerated economic decline. It seems to me that you too accepted that reality and what you are mourning about is that Mugabe and his cronies are not going around with suitably long faces! Yes Professor all those 90% who are unemployment, the 16% or 2 million now living in abject poverty, etc. will all be gloriously happy about Zimbabwe’s accelerated economic decline into hell if Mugabe and his cronies had put ash on their heads looked reflective on Independence Day!

In other words you, Professor Ncube, and your fellow MDC friends do not regret assisting Mugabe and his cronies getting their most cherished wish of no regime change by failing to implement the democratic reforms. You do understand that your callous betrayal has forfeited the nation its best chance since independence to end this oxymoron of elections but no regime change and with it the chance to get out of this economic hell Mugabe has landed us. All you are regretting is that on Independence Day Mugabe and his cronies did not look glum!

Well when it comes to baffling with bull you have some serious challenger like Nelson Chamisa, Dr Magaisa, Eddie Cross and Obert Gutu but when all is said and done your verbosity, Professor Ncube, give you the edge! You never seize to amaze how shallow, thick and slow you are!
When are you and your MDC friends going to apologize to the good people of Zimbabwe for betraying them to Mugabe by joining the “cash brigade” as Mukanya Thomas Mapfumo so aptly put it? None of you lot have ever denied that you did not implement any reforms because Mugabe had bribed you the gravy train lifestyles you all enjoyed throughout the GNU years!
