The Zimbabwe government appealed to the British, the people Mugabe
has denigrated repeatedly as “white imperialists” for funds so 250,000
underprivileged children could have the most basic education - learn to read
and write. The British brushed aside the insults and focus on the crying need
for these children who are the real victims of the country’s failed state and
paid £10 million.
The regime said it had no money to pay the fees but, as we now
see, it had $1 million for Mugabe’s birthday bash and $5 million (a very conservative
estimate, if you ask me) for Bona’s wedding.
By the way, no expense was spared for her education either. In
2008 Mugabe bought – using public funds, what else - a US$ 5 million mansion in
Hong Kong for his daughter to live in whilst her was studying there. This was
the year the country was facing its worse economic melt-down fuelled by the
hyperinflation and the dramatic collapse of the country’s agricultural sector
triggered by the all-out looting of white own farms. All Zimbabwean children up
and down the country had a total of 23 schooling days that year – all except
those whose parents could afford to send them out of the chaos gripping the
country!
Zimbabwe has also appealed for $20 million to help hundreds of
thousands of Zimbabweans whose livelihoods and their very lives are being threatened
by the flooding of the Tokwe-Mukosi dam. None of the usual international donors
has stepped up to help but that clearly did nothing to force Mugabe to cut back
on the birthday and wedding extravaganzas!
Mugabe has ruled Zimbabwe with an iron fist and the most sobering
demonstration of his autocratic power was how he, together with a handful in
the Junta Joint Operations Command, rigged the 2013 elections to secure his own
and his Zanu PF party’s iron grip on power.
The 12 million Zimbabwean people were denied a say in the governance
of Zimbabwe; only Mugabe’s voice counts.
With his hold on power secured, it is no surprise that when it
comes to how the nation’s wealth and riches are shared out Mugabe and his
cronies have the lion’s share. Mugabe’s insatiable greed and appetite for
riches has the lion’s share to means everything! The Mugabes are more than Zimbabwe’s
first family, they are the only family!

Zimbabwe should and could have had free and fair elections if the idiot had implemented the democratic reforms. He did not because he was busy enjoying being on the gravy train and the spoils of power Mugabe allowed him to have as a bribe.
This nightmare Zimbabwe is facing today should and could have been avoided if the idiot had not betrayed the nation.
To shallow people like you, Tsvangirai has done no wrong, indeed he is a competent leader. But that is because you have failed to comprehend the enormity of his failed leadership and betrayal. Even with the benefit of hindsight of the historic facts before you still fail to Tsvangirai as the blundering incompetent he is!
Zimbabwe is in this political and economic hell-hole because the country has had the great misfortune of having more than its fair share of idiots like you whose IQ is well before that of a certified moron. Your blind allegiance to a tyrant like Mugabe or an idiot like Tsvangirai is what got this country in this hell-hole and is keeping it there!
