I have been surfing the world-wide-web
for pictures of Mugabe’s Borrowdale Mansion – just to marvel at the extravagant
opulence of the place of one, by right, should be living in a grass-thatched
hut or else in Chikurumbi Prison! It is not surprising that I was not the only
one keen for a peep!
“Realising that hosting the expensive
wedding at the mansion — popularly known as Blue Roof — was going to expose
Mugabe’s mansion which would ultimately lead to questions on how the
90-year-old could have built such a house in a poor country like Zimbabwe,
Charamba was quoted in the State media pre-empting the lavish nature of the
house” reported the Daily News.
The Daily News article was not
accompanied by any photograph of the mansion because all those who attended
were barred from taking any photos!
Of all the possessions accumulated from
all the wealth and riches looted from the people of Zimbabwe the Blue Roof is
the show piece of Mugabe’s own accumulated looted wealth. Given the string of stories
of rampant corruption and the devastating consequences they have had on the
national economy it is not surprising that Mugabe should be sensitive about
flouting his own looted wealth.
George Chiramba told the State media the
mansion was worth $10 million. The day the dictatorship finally collapse, the
nation will send in experts to carry out a detailed survey and inventory and
price tag. We know that the $ 10 million is way below the true value.
“You might recall that the land on which
that home stands was bought by the party, Zanu PF, for their leader. Not a
single cent came from the State,” said Charamba, Zanu PF’s copycat of George
Orwell’s Animal Farm character Squealer.
“Secondly, the
structures which have become the private home of the First Family were painstakingly
put up through a combination of private savings and donations from
well-wishers.
“That makes the place
not just a house for now, but a home for all times for the Mugabes, in and out
of office.”

No stone will be left
unturned to uncover all the small details of how Mugabe rigged the 2013
elections. Not one stone! Mugabe will then be asked once again if he rigged the
elections or not. He has already said he did not. Rigging the elections is a
very serious matter, it is high treason.
Mugabe, convicted of
high treason, will forfeit his Blue Roof, all the looted farms, everything and
his freedom too. King Charles 1 lost his head for high treason and the crimes
Mugabe and his cronies have committed against the people of Zimbabwe these last
34 years are even worse than those Charles committed.
The truth above what
Mugabe and his Zanu PF thugs have been doing these last 34 years is coming out
in all its ugliness! Mugabe is emerging as the corrupt and murderous tyrant he
is. If he really thinks he can still bamboozle the nation with his usual

This is nonsense; there has been corruption and looting in Marange all these years not because there were too many companies operating there but because there was no political will to stop the looting! For the last 34 years Mugabe and Zanu PF have denied there was no corruption and this has allowed the problem to balloon complete out of proportion. Now the whole economy has been so serious undermined the regime and the country is overwhelmed!
The Zimbabwe Electoral Commission has failed to pay government transport agency CMED $4.5 million for services rendered during last year’s elections, Parliament was told Monday. Every day a new story comes out exposing the breadth and depth of Zimbabwe’s economic rot! The ZEC story is the latest!
Mugabe spent billions of dollars to finance his vote rigging schemes whilst every sector of government was being systematically
starved of cash! His recklessness coupled with the rampant corruption that has been going on for decades have tipped the national economy over the edge.

Human beings are supposed to be capable of such notions as love, empathy, etc. Are we to accept that she is capable of love - assuming she married for love - but totally incapable empathy! Because if she is the "nice person" you say she is she could not have failed to see the heart breaking suffering everywhere she looked in Zimbabwe today.
A wedding day is every girl's special day but not when others have to sacrifice their day's meal, education and their very lives! 34 years of corruption have resulted in the complete collapse of country's health, for example. 100 children below the age of 5 are dying every day around Zimbabwe of preventable diseases. Money that should be used to buy medicine is being squandered on luxuries such as this $5 million wedding.

Mugabe reported ordered Harare City Council to repair the many potholes on the roads the newly wed were going to use. The Council did not have the money to repair the rest of the roads - road the chefs have been using and will continue to use into the future.
What is disappointing is that anyone could be so idiotic not to see that Mugabe is using public funds for lavish wedding at the expense of something as basic as life-saving medicine.
