Mugabe rigged the 2013 elections the AU knows that but, sadly, the continental body is led by some of the most incompetent leaders on this planet and hence their decision to compound their blunder of turning a blind eye to Mugabe's tyrannical rule by making an empty threat to boycott all AU meetings with the West..
The AU's decision to boycott the Africa-EU summit is bizarre to say the very least in that it is Africa that needs Europe more than the other way round. Yes Africa has turned to the Middle East and Far East, especially China for unconditional trade. If Europe and the West are exploiting Africa then China is even worse. The West is at worst a tick to a cow whilst China is at best diseased vampire bat!
Which is why, with the nation bankrupt, Mugabe is desperate to have his ban to travel to Europe lifted so he can attend the Africa-EU summit and visit all the European countries begging bowl in one hand and walking stick in the other. He can go to China any day but he does not bother because he knows he will not get a penny from them. To go begging to the Chinese; that is like a beggar standing outside a public lavatory, all he will get is the smell!
Ever since Kenya coerced the rest of the AU to endorse its call to have serving heads of state from being exempted from ICC charges; the AU has grown too big for its boots! The West should not allow an unregistered beggars’ union to dictate its foreign policy. The West should simply cut all aid, loans and grants to all those African nations who do not attend the Africa-EU or Africa-USA summits.
The EU was right to cut aid to Malawi because the level of corruption in that country had reached nauseating heights and now, thank God, its leaders are doing some long overdue spring cleaning. Now the West must extend the same stern no-nonsense stand to the rest of Africa. If the continent’s leaders are stupid enough to allow themselves to cover up for Mugabe’s barbarism them they must share in the punishment too!
Turning a blind eye to Mugabe’s blatant vote rigging is one thing but trying doing the same thing – which they will be compelled to do if the West was to cut all its financial support - and getting away with it is another as Mugabe and Malawi’s Banda can testify!

“We appeal to the President’s Office to deal with corruption," said Mike Ndudzo, chief executive of the state-owned Industrial Development Corporation, no less! And his fellow industrialists idiots applauded that nonsense! S**t; no wonder we are in this mess!
It is surprising that anyone, anyone at all much less the country's industrialists should applaud Ndudzo’s call on the Zanu PF regime to address the problem of corruption. Surely everyone should know but much more so the leaders of industry themselves that corruption has been rampant for the last 34 years and therefore Ndudzo was not saying anything new. But even more significantly, call of the regime to end the corruption is nonsensical since the regime is the mother of all the corruption and the party's leaders are the worst offenders.
Only the other day, there was a story of Mugabe now trying to recover a $5 million mansion he bought for his daughter in 2008. When the story first broke out the tyrant lied and said he was renting the mansion. It should be noted the mansion was bought at the time when the Zimbabwe economy was down and out. That year the rest of the students had a total of 23 schooling days for various reasons including the serious financial melt-down. And yet the regime could afford to squander US$ 5 million on Bona Mugabe's accommodation alone.
Mai Mujuru has a fortune worth $ 3 billion before we add her share of the $ 9 billion from her late husband.
Does Ndudzo and the gaggle of industrialist geese seriously expect Mugabe or Mujuru to end rampant corruption or are they just making noise!
The country is in serious trouble and what chance do we have of getting out of this mess if the country's leaders are themselves behaving like morons, totally incapable of offering any realistic solutions!
@ ism stinks
You are spot on; how can the mother of all the corruption happening in the country be expected to end corruption? It is idiots like Ndudzo who have refused to see Mugabe for the corrupt and murderous tyrant he is all these years who have landed the nation in this mess!
If the nation is to ever get out of this mess then we must not just look at getting rid of the tyrant and all those corrupt and murderous thugs round him but get rid of the imbeciles in various positions of power and influence like Mike Ndudzo. Indeed get rid of these imbeciles and cut the ground from under the tyrant's feet for it is the likes of Ndudzo who propping the dictators up and have done so for the last 34 years!
Zimbabwe has some first class idiots; that is the sad and tragic truth!
@ Black Aristocrat
Well done! You are certainly one of the very few Zimbabweans who saw the vote rigging coming. Still, I am not sure whether you saw the whole picture or only part of the picture.
Can you please answer the following questions.
1) Did MDC and its leader Tsvangirai do what was expected of them to ensure free and fair elections?
2) Would you have voted to approve the Copac constitution in the March 2013 referendum?
@ Nofool
If I made foo of myself in Holland, as you say then why I you obsessed about me being there?
I reminded all those present that Mugabe rigged the elections ad he is therefore illegitimate and all those seeking to deal with the tyrant must know he has no legitimacy. Yes here were other feeble black Zimbabwean voices who said the EU should accept Mugabe. But as I said their voices were feeble and easily brushed aside. You are not obsessed about them but about me and so you should because you and your master are getting increasingly frustrated that the vote rigging issue is not going away.
I told you in July 2013 and will repeat it here: Mugabe is not getting away with vote rigging, not this time! You did no believe me then but you are only now beginning to realise that I spoke the truth. Well do not worry will not have long to wait to see this Zanu PF dictatorship finally collapse. And there is nothing Mugabe can do about it. Nothing!
@ Chimbwido
So why are you cursing and swearing if it is me who is burning? I told you Mugabe rigged the elections and he is NOT going to get away with it. He was sure the issue would be forgotten within weeks especially after Tsvangirai withdraw his Court challenge. It is now seven months since the election and yet the issue of vote rigging and his illegitimacy is still as hot as ever.
I have said it once and will say it a thousand times: Mugabe rigged the July 2013 elections and he is NOT going to get away with it, not this time. No chance!
