Mankind is above all else a thinking animal!

Mankind is above all else a thinking animal!

A human life lived to the full is one where
Half the time was spent in mental contemplation
Half of the remaining time was spent in listening
Half of the remaining time was spent in talking
Half of the remaining time was spent in doing
The rest spent in resting mind and body.

Those whose speak without thinking are but a hauling wind
They neither inform nor entertain, they annoy.
Those whose act before thinking through first
Know not where they are going and never get anywhere
At worst, they will shatter their own leg swatting a fly.

If you can tamper the exuberant energy and passion of youth
With the patience and wisdom of age
Out of iron and carbon you have forged the blade of steel.
The only excellent plan is one tested in battle and worked!

What is said or done matters only carefully thought through.

Mugabe tells new UK Ambassador to Zimbabwe that he did not want British or EU election observers in the coming country elections.

Mugabe has failed to hold free and fair elections ever since he got into power over 30 years ago. He was selective as to who would observe the elections; it was a no, no for any observers from the West even before the later imposed sanctions. The next elections are set to be even more violent than ever, the dictators' thugs are already on a war footing. It is hardly surprising then the dictator is already telling the British and the West that he does not want them to comment on Zimbabwe's repressive political system.

What is of interest here is that he is supposed to be in a GNU and yet he alone dictates everything! What exactly did Tsvangirai hoped to achieve in joining with the dictator in the GNU because nothing has really changed in Zimbabwe since MDC signed the GPA!?

The economic melt down leading to the 2008 election posed a greater challenge to Mugabe and Zanu PF than whatever has come from the Wiki Leaks. But yes, Wiki Leaks could well be the last straw that broke the camel's back; yes there could well be a purge and bloodshed in Zanu PF. Zanu PF is a violent and blood-thirst party; people should not be surprised if the party was to have a bloody and violent end!

Chamisa is said to have described Morgan Tsvangirai, the MDC party leader, as ‘inept and indecisive’ according to the Wiki Leaks. He is now swearing he never said it. How sad, this is probably the single most important thing he has ever said in all his political career and he is denying ever saying it!

Mugabe bought the royalty of all the senior security officers by making sure each and everyone of them was not only well paid but had a farm; a big farm, more than they really needed, and violently seized. That way they will all knew they would lose the farms if Zanu PF lost power. But better still Mugabe saw to it that many of them had the blood of innocent Zimbabweans so that they too feared for their very lives if there should be regime change!
