"You say CCC is Zanu PF team B in all but name, playing for team A to win and have legitimacy. Where are the V11s?" This was a challenge I would not turn down.
Here are the three cases proving beyond all reasonable doubt that since the 2008 to 2013 GNU MDC/CCC leaders have been running with the povo hare in broad day whilst stealthily hunting with the Zanu PF hounds.
- a) MDC were elected on the ticket to implement democratic changes to stop Zanu PF rigging the elections and their best chance ever came at the end o the 2008 elections following the blatant cheating and wanton violence by Zanu PF led by none other than Robert Mugabe's number one henchman Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa. The buffoon has even boasted of it as if it was his “finest hour”.
Both SADC and AU, for the first time since the country’s independence and repeated rigged elections, refused to endorse Zanu PF victory and deny the regime political legitimacy. Zanu PF was forced to sign the 2008 Global Political Agreement giving birth to the 2008 to 2013 GNU. The primary purpose of the GNU was to implement the democratic reforms to stop repeat of the blatant cheating and wanton violence.
Morgan Tsvangirai and his MDC friends failed to implement even one token reform in five years of the GNU. The truth was revealed by Patrick Chinamasa then Zanu PF Minister of Justice and Parliamentary Affairs in the GNU. He revealed it to justify why Zanu PF was not going to postpone the 2013 elections as SADC leaders had demanded at the extraordinary SADC Summit in Maputo Mozambique in June 2013.
- b) Tendai Biti, David Coltart and one or two other MDC leaders have since admitted the sheer folly of participating in the flawed elections. MDC T faction even made a party resolution “No reforms, no elections!” But greed had the better of them and so they were all back participating in the flawed elections, “so flawed, so illegal, that the only logical step was to withdraw,” as Coltart aptly put.
Chamisa insisted in participating in the 2018 elections giving such idiotic excuses as “MDC A has stringent measures to stop Zanu PF rigging elections!” Of course, he was lying.
The Constitutional Court Challenge of the presidential election results was idiotic to say the least. Chamisa’s legal team had questioned how it was possible that 12 polling stations in ZEC’s affidavit had two or more results which were identical in every regard; each candidate had polled the same, same spoilt votes and most notable of all Mnangagwa had a commanding lead in all these cases.
ZEC’s legal team admitted this was indeed truth and there were more than 12 polling stations. “The Court must ask behavioural Scientist!” the lawyer argued.
The Judge asked Chamisa’s team why did they not ask to have the sealed ballot boxes from these 12 Polling Stations opened, after all this is the reason why the sealed ballot boxes are kept until all legal challenges of elections result are settled.
The obvious explanation for these identical results is duplicate entries to boost Mnangagwa’s vote count. Entering a V11 result twice or thrice is easy but reproducing an identical Polling Station complete with the sealed ballot boxes, manning staff and voters would be impossible. And so demanding to have the sealed ballot boxes of these duplicate/triplicate entries opened would have settled this matter beyond all doubt.
It was not ZEC or anyone else who did not want the sealed ballot boxes opened - it was Chamisa’s legal team! “We did not want to drink from the poisoned well!” Chamisa’s lawyer argued. It was not Chamisa and his team who would have been drinking from the poisoned well but ZEC and Mnangagwa himself - the failure to produce the duplicate Polling Station would have proven the elections were rigged. Chamisa and company were protecting Zanu PF team A!
- c) Chamisa and CCC were hell bent on participating in 2023 elections giving the same feeble excuses to justify why they are participating in flawed elections “so flawed, so illegal, that the only logical step was to withdraw!”
It was not only Zanu PF but CCC too were surprised when both SADC and AU election observers condemned the 2023 elections as a farce. Still CCC leaders took up their gravy train seats arguing wherever the party had won - these were “liberated zones”. Liberated zones my foot! Ever since the 2008 election fiasco Zanu PF learned to get political legitimacy the opposition must be enticed to participate in any elections no matter how flawed; giving away a few gravy train seats was a small price to pay.
Indeed, in 2018 Mnangagwa increased the opposition bait by creating POLAD to reward all the losing presidential candidates. All they had to do was to publicly announce the elections were free, fair and credible and that Mnangagwa was the legitimate president!
Of course, Margaret Dongo is right the more rational thing for CCC leaders to have done in the face of the damning SADC and AU election reports was to refuse to take up their gravy train seats but, once again, greed had the better of them.
Of course, MDC/CCC has been Zanu PF team B in but name since 2008, at least; and they have, so far, they have managed to make sure team A win and has political legitimacy. I rest my case.

In Zimbabwe to hope to stop Zanu PF rigging elections was betrayed by MDC/CCC leaders who failed to implement even one reforms in 24 years and have been participating in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy out of greed!
The right to hold public protests is sacrosanct as long as the protest is peaceful. To be calling on State machinery to disrupt the planned protests because one does not agree with the demands of the protestors, who is funding the protests or some such feeble excuse must be condemn.
What makes this Senator Tshabangu’s posting particularly repugnant is that he is an opposition member himself and is evoking the repressive Zanu PF regime to deny follow Zimbabweans their fundamental freedoms and rights for no better reason than that they belong to another opposition party. No wonder Zimbabwe’s opposition has proven to be utterly useless; they love of power and sheer incompetence have made it easy for Zanu PF to corrupt and divide them!
No doubt Zanu PF will see to it that Senator Tshabangu’s statement is given good coverage and publicity. SADC leaders will only see in this how hopelessly divided and confused the Zimbabwe opposition is.
The opposition hate each other more than they hate Zanu PF and would rather keep the latter in power than risk a follow opposition party getting into power. Poor, poor Zimbabwe; we really are a doomed nation!

"Very wrong narrative based on assumptions."
I challenge you to name one, just one, wrong assumption! Any one can say this is good or that is bad but real class comes when one can say why this is good or that is bad! You have failed to name one democratic reforms, for example, and yet would comment on MDC/CCC leaders’ failure or otherwise to implement reforms. You are just good at pretending to know things you do not know!
@ Changamire
“By staying positive and stop irrational denigrating posts of where you want to have your meal. Constructive criticism is OK, but don't bite the hand that will feed you in times of need!”
This is just gibberish nonsense one would expect to hear for a ten year! “Constructive criticism is ok!” and you a village idiot is to judge what is constructive and what is not! Fcuk me!
60% of Zimbabwe’s population live in rural areas where they are not even allowed to own even the 10 square metres on which their hut stand for selfish political reasons! Bona Mugabe has tittle deeds to 12 farms the size of Lesotho and yet povo are denied tittle deed to 10 sq m because Zanu PF want them to remain poor and powerless serfs subservient to the regime.
I have never asked for a farm, talk about povo!
@ Murehwa
You cannot do anything as long as Zimbabwe remains a pariah state, that is the point. The economy has collapsed because Zimbabwe is a pariah state ruled by corrupt incompetent thugs in power because they rig elections.
@ Brett
In a recent interview with Blessing, Margaret Dongo CCC leaders should have refused to take up their seats in parliament after SADC ruled the 2023 elections were flawed. They took up their gravy train seats because are corrupt. It is refreshing to note that a few Zimbabweans are waking up to the political reality that MDC/CCC have been running with the povo hare during the day whilst stealthily hunting with the Zanu PF hounds day and night.
No wonder MDC/CCC have failed to bring about even one token reform in 24 years. The truth is MDC/CCC will never implement any reforms and deliver free and fair elections. Never!
If Zimbabweans had listened and refused to participate in their millions in the flawed 2023 elections, I am convinced, SADC would have denied Zanu PF political legitimacy regardless the blatant selling out by CCC leader taking up the gravy train seats. If Zimbabweans have the wit not to participate in 2028 with no reform implemented SADC will deny Zanu PF legitimacy.
ANC's failure to win in 29 May 2024 SA elections is one very positive development since 2023 elections. Zanu PF would have never got political legitimacy without ANC support; there will be no arrogant ANC to support the regime next time.

“Asi wakatumwa here Mukori??”
You are not used to having those in power held to account and so when anyone does that he/she must be a puppet of the West or a Zanu PF agent. Well, all those in power are and must be accountable to ordinary citizen like me - get used to it!
Why are you hiding behind those dark glass of unknown? You think you will silence me with your stupid questions?

Chamisa and his supporters are hell bent on staging their SADC protest just as they were hell bent on participating on the flawed 2023 elections. Of course, their right to peaceful protest is sacrosanct still one must question what they hope to achieve.
MDC/CCC have failed to implement even one token reform these last 24 years including the 5 years in the GNU. The SADC Election Observer Mission (SEOM) report condemned Zimbabwe's 2023 elections as flawed and illegal underlining the recurred question: why do we keep participating in these flawed elections? And more poignantly, why is the opposition marking time on these pointless demos when they should be implementing the reforms to stop history repeating itself in 2028?

Zimbabwe is a failed state because of "you and me!" Yes. But to include the rural folk in the "you and me" is irresponsible and counter productive because they are the victims.
The millions of urban voters and those in the diaspora are to blame for being so naive and gullible to be conned into participating in flawed elections by Chamisa's idiotic lies of plugging all vote rigging loop holes. Blame the chiefs, judges, ZEC and CCC leaders who were bribed to help Mnangagwa rig the elections.
Rural voters are being kept poor, ignorant and powerless by Zanu PF; they are medieval serfs beholden to the overbearing Zanu PF lords. Granting rural folk title deeds to the land will mean more to them than a meaningful vote.

Mnangagwa is barely a year old in 5 year term following the rigged 2023 elections and yet he is already pining for another 5 more years in 2028. He squandered US$ 5 billions bribing all the key players including the CCC opposition to secure the electoral victory and he has deep pockets to do the same again for 2028 elections. Rigging elections is the easy bit getting political legitimacy is the tough bit especially now that SADC and AU condemned 2023 and ANC lost the 2024 elections.
Denying Zanu PF political legitimacy is the monster's soft underbelly it is within our power to stop the naive and gullible Zimbabweans who participated in 2023 to give Zanu PF legitimacy - 2 million urban voters and the 3 to 4 million in the diaspora who cheered and supported the participating.
How anyone could be so easily conned to believe Chamisa's idiotic lies beggars belief. It must not happen ever again.
