Charamba says Minister slept on the jod and should pay for it - another Zanu PF fudge!

The humbled but up to now feisty George Charamba admit Ministers slept on the job and thus allowed the corruption to get out of hand.

“That’s dereliction of duty on the part of ministries. We slept on the job. That’s the bottom line. Whether we snoozed because we were sleepy or snoozed because we were ignorant, it makes no difference,” Charamba said.

I would not say the ministers slept on the job considering the like of Mai Mujuru has a US$ 3 billion fortune, Minister Obert Mpofu and Ignatius Chombo have fortunes worth hundreds of millions of dollars and the rest are filthy rich too although the nation is yet to know the size of their loot. They were very busy doing their own looting; indeed it was their looting that encouraged those below them to do the same.

George Charamba is doing what he has done all along, trying to hoodwink the people into believing that all the stories of looting that have come to light are all the looting that have ever taken place and the Ministers and all the other Zanu PF leaders and officials are guilty of let these cases of looting happen but otherwise they are all the very epitome of virtue!

“Zimbabweans are angry and have every reason to be angry. Take, for example, ZBC (Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation). That money which was supposed to have them entertained was being taken to sponsor large lives. Those involved, including myself, should be made to pay. I should relinquish my position. If I am not moved by my conscience, I should be moved by a higher authority,” concluded Charamba.

"If I am not moved by my conscience, I should be moved by a higher authority,” George Charamba tells. Well I have very serious problems with that!

1) If this looting was a one off one could say Charamba had a lapse of his conscience but this is not so is it? The corruption and looting has been going on for the last 34 years. Charamba has been looting at PSMAS, from the generous allowances during the many overseas trips with Mugabe costing typical US$ 3 million a trip, plus a host other opportunities we have yet to know.

Charamba has no more conscience that Jack the Ripper!

2) What "higher authority" is he referring to? Minister Jonathan Moyo? That political prostitute! As for his other boss Mugabe; the tyrant has been doing his own looting and worse still he has the blood of over 30 000 innocent Zimbabweans on his hands. Anyone guilt of such serious crimes and that evil has no conscience.

3) The only authority I would recognise here are the ordinary people of Zimbabwe who have paid dearly with money, human suffering and ultimately with their very lives for all the mismanagement, corruption and looting by Mugabe and his thugs.

Sadly the people's power and authority was repeatedly denied them by the regime by its failed to hold free and fair elections.

This is just a damage limiting exercise by Zanu PF. These named in the scandals will be publicly “punished” by Mugabe. They will all keep their loot, given a golden hand-shake and many of them will be back in power as happened with the likes of Jacob Mudeda. Meanwhile the mismanagement, corruption and looting will continue.

The only acceptable answered to these stories of corruption is that Mugabe and Zanu PF must resign after all they rigged the elections itself the most serious corruption story of our time. The people must have their political power and authority fully restored and, through their freely elected representative, they will decide what is the right punishment for Charamba, Mugabe, etc.   – it business as usual.

We need to end this political madness now and decisively and not have another fudge.

Mugabe and Zanu PF rigged the July 2013 elections they must not be allowed to get away with it. The regime is illegitimate and per se it has no authority to decide what should be done with looters like Charamba and Mugabe.

Tsunami corruption stories have crashed Mugabe proving there is corruption in Zimb and it is the cause of the economic melt-down!

The stories of rampant corruption and looting in Zimbabwe have been crashing in like tsunami waves proving beyond doubt that there is rampant corruption and looting and rendering Mugabe’s past denials as nothing but lies. But more significantly, the extend of the corruption and looting have proven beyond doubt that it was them and not the sanctions that have caused the economic melt-down!

Dennis Magaya was being paid US $ 44 000.00 a month as a consultant by ZESA – parastatal that has a mountain of unpaid debts and is known for its load shedding and exorbitant electricity bills even if the customer was off the bill will still be exorbitant.

Harare City Council officials could have pocketed more than US$100 million through inflating prices of equipment for the US$144,4 million loan agreement obtained from China whose contract to refurbish water and sewage treatment plants was awarded to a Chinese company. Harare Town Clerk Tendai Mahachi was in on the act. Yes the same Tendai Mahachi who was paid US $ 37 000 a month!

Minister Chombo stepped in to reinstate Mahachi after the Mayor sacked the Town Clerk for refusing to reveal his salaries and perks and those of the other senior managers. Meanwhile ordinary lowly paid council workers were not being paid and basic services to rates payers were not being delivered, supposedly, because there was no money.

Mugabe is fighting a legal battle to recover a Hong Kong US$ 5 million mansion from a Chinese businessman who is trying to swindle it from him. The mansion was bought in 2008 for his daughter, Bona, although at the time he lied claiming he was renting the property. Yes it is the same dodgy businessman who swindled Grace Mugabe out of US$ 1 million after delivering old lorries instead of new one agreed in the contract.

Cuthbert Dube, the CEO of Premier Service Medical Aid Society was being paid $500,000 a month and Mugabe’s feisty spin-doctor George Charamba was getting $100 000.00 a year as board member fees for the Society whilst the ordinary members who paid the subscriptions where being refused any medical treatment because PSMAS was not paying the bill of the service providers, because the society had no money.

ZBC boss Happison Muchechetere, who looted over $40,000 per month while ordinary staff went without wages for the last 7 months.

Many senior Zanu PF members were involved in a scheme to help farm owners buy plant and equipment. They got the money but never bothered to pay it back contributing to the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe’s US$ 1 billion debt!

Of course it is all this rampant corruption and looting over the last three decades that has caused Zimbabwe’s economic melt-down. Mugabe has gone to great length to deny there was corruption and looting and the odd occasion he has admitted there was any such thing it was only to down play the problem. He has dismissed any claims the country’s economic woes could be caused by corruption and looting.

As far as Mugabe was concerned it was “the illegal sanctions imposed by the West to push their regime change agenda” that was the alpha and omega of the country’s economic problems.

With all these stories of massive corruption and looting by himself and all those around him; Mugabe knows the cat is out of the bag. There can be no denying there is corruption and looting and thus denying of the economic melt-down – the logical economic consequences of the rot!

In a health democracy the government of the day will be forced to resign following the revelation of just one such damaging story. Zimbabwe is not a democracy; that much is clear. Still, not even a tyrannical dictatorship can survive the onslaught of these tsunami stories crashing in one after another. The dictatorship can service the political fallout but not the economic fallout too!
Like it or not Mugabe and Zanu PF are finished! The most important thing now is to ensure the nation manages the collapse so that the tyrant and his cronies do not drag the whole nation into the abyss with them!

Activist demands that ZEC release the voters roll - achieving more than MDC did in five years in the GNU!

A Civil Rights Activist and lawyer, Justice Mavedzenge, has submitted a letter to the Head of ZEC, Chief Justice Rita Makarau, demanding that the Commission should release the voters roll within seven days or else he will appeal to the Court to force her to do so.

Well done Mavedzenge! I really was beginning to think Zimbabwe is a nation of idiots; you have restored my faith and hope that all is not lost.

In penning that letter you, Sir, have done more than Morgan Tsvangirai and all his deputy Prime Ministers, Ministers, deputy Ministers, over a hundred MPs, Ambassadors, Councilors and God knows how many others beside have ever achieved to advance the cause for real democratic change in all their five years in the GNU! One man's one day's labour is worth more than five hundred times five years of labour that is the difference between quality and a lorry load of cow-dung.

The voters roll is the smoking gun to the rigged July 2013 elections and it took one smart lawyer to see it. Tsvangirai with all his legal advisers some of them lawyers and even Professors at lawyer fail to see it!

Mugabe rigged the elections and he should not be allowed to get away with it. He has a simple chose resign or else release the voters roll and the evidence there in will force him to resign. In other words Mugabe will go either way.

He has stubbornly refused to release the voters roll for eight months now - given he was supposed to release the roll at least a month before the elections. He can seat there pretending to be deaf and dumb but the world sees a totally different picture. They see a man who is looking more and more stupid and isolated. A man who has soiled his own pants but maintains the stoic straight face of offended innocence whilst green bombers are buzzing round him, pointing the source of the stench!

Makoni says Mugabe should speak against PSMAS looting: I say Makoni should shut up!

Mugabe is in serious trouble, his reckless spending to finance the vote rigging exercise has left the country broke and these corruption stories that are breaking fast and furious are adding fuel to the burning inferno. It is impossible to see how anyone would want to invest in Zimbabwe is the face of all this chaos.

The country is sinking economically and the Zanu PF dictatorship is imploding as the party’s thugs have hit the self-destruct button and are telling the others’ dirty secretes from the roof top having failed to keep them unwraps.

Now that Mugabe is on his death bed with the country in terminal economic decline and the his party imploding it is increasing that many of those who have grovelled before him for decades are now emboldened. Tsvangirai was calling on Mugabe to “talk to him” for the way out of the mess! Makoni too is pulling no punches!

“If a board appointed by a minister who, in turn, reports to the President and Parliament did not do their work then we have every right to say that Mugabe is equally culpable. He was in the loop and probably turned a blind eye,” Simba Makoni said.

To listen to the idiot, one would think mismanagement, corruption and looting are completely new problems in Zimbabwe and yet these have been going on from the very day Mugabe and Zanu PF got into power! These problems were there throughout the years Simba Makoni was Minister of Finance and occupied other senior positions in the regime. Mugabe had turned a blind eye to these problems then and the idiot said and did nothing then!

If Tsvangirai, Tendai Biti and the rest of the MDC idiots had implemented the democratic reforms as they should have Mugabe would not have rigged the elections. The tyrant would still be facing the Zanu PF implosion but the real risk of him dragging the whole nation over the edge with him would have been averted.

Simba Makoni, Morgan Tsvangirai, etc., etc.; they are all queuing to throw sticks and mud at Mugabe, now they can see he is down, and making a big song and dance about it so that tomorrow they can say they are the one who delivered the killer punch. It is exactly what one would expect cowards to do!

Vanamucheka dzafa! Vachatemana namasanhu pachavo nokutwa, makwara ndizvo zvaano ziva.

Simba, Morgan you all had a chance to save the country from this nightmare and f***d up big time. Your wittering is nothing but a distraction, at best. We are asking you nicely to please shut the f*** up! Thanks you, kindly!

Dube fleeced Premier Service Medical Aid of which the feisty Charambe was board member and Mugabe was patron!

George Charamba and Luxon Zembe the new face to take over at Premier Service Medical Aid Society (PSMAS) from suspended $ 500 000 per month Cuthbert Dube must have racked in hundreds of thousands of dollars a month in their own right! The feisty Mugabe spin-doctor were board members of PSMAS and sat on at least 8 of 13 subcommittees within the sprawling group.

The group owns Claybank Clinic (Private) Limited, Dorothy Duncan Centre, Premier Optometry Services (Private), Emergency Medical Rescue Ambulance Services, Premier Service Clinical Laboratories (Private) Limited, Premier Rehabilitation Services and Premier Dental Clinics (Private) Limited.

Stop to catch my breath! Medical Centre, Parkview Hospital, PMAC Properties, Premier Services Medical Healthcare (Private) Limited, Premier Service Hospitals Chiredzi, Premier Service Hospitals Shashi, PSMI Hospitals (West End Hospitals), Premier Service Pharmaceuticals (Private) Limited and Premier Service Radiology.

The group is valued at $310 million and is mainly funded by civil servants and taxpayers.
“I am culpable to the extent that I didn’t ask the right questions,” admitted Charamba. He refused to say how much he fleeced from PSMAS.

Mugabe is the patron of PSMAS; say no more! For he is the premier patron of all the corruption, looting and brutal repression and murders in the country!

With all this corruption, looting and brutal repression and murders; it is little wonder the tyrant blatantly rigged the July 2013 elections denying the people the fundamental right to a meaningful say in the governance of the country, He and his cronies did not want to lose all their loot much less have to account for the blood of over 30 000 they murdered in cold blood for selfish political gain. Still the corruption and looting had become so rampant it is overwhelming the regime, the stench of the rot is so powerful not even bath in Channel 5 can hid it.

There are some EU countries that have been keen to lift the sanctions against Mugabe and deal with his regime. Even they must be hesitating now; there is a limit as to how long a man can hold his breath! No one is going to rescue Mugabe; they all stand back an watch him drown in his own stinking mess!

Mugabe rigged the July 2013 elections and he is not going to get away with it. Not this time! No chance! No way! The sooner the tyrant realises things the sooner he will save himself from more damaging revelations.

EU must cut aid to all African countries that heed Mugabe's call for AU boycott of AU-EU summit, no more of this nonsense!

Mugabe rigged the 2013 elections the AU knows that but, sadly, the continental body is led by some of the most incompetent leaders on this planet and hence their decision to compound their blunder of turning a blind eye to Mugabe's tyrannical rule by making an empty threat to boycott all AU meetings with the West..
The AU's decision to boycott the Africa-EU summit is bizarre to say the very least in that it is Africa that needs Europe more than the other way round. Yes Africa has turned to the Middle East and Far East, especially China for unconditional trade. If Europe and the West are exploiting Africa then China is even worse. The West is at worst a tick to a cow whilst China is at best diseased vampire bat!
Which is why, with the nation bankrupt, Mugabe is desperate to have his ban to travel to Europe lifted so he can attend the Africa-EU summit and visit all the European countries begging bowl in one hand and walking stick in the other. He can go to China any day but he does not bother because he knows he will not get a penny from them. To go begging to the Chinese; that is like a beggar standing outside a public lavatory, all he will get is the smell!
Ever since Kenya coerced the rest of the AU to endorse its call to have serving heads of state from being exempted from ICC charges; the AU has grown too big for its boots! The West should not allow an unregistered beggars’ union to dictate its foreign policy. The West should simply cut all aid, loans and grants to all those African nations who do not attend the Africa-EU or Africa-USA summits.
The EU was right to cut aid to Malawi because the level of corruption in that country had reached nauseating heights and now, thank God, its leaders are doing some long overdue spring cleaning. Now the West must extend the same stern no-nonsense stand to the rest of Africa. If the continent’s leaders are stupid enough to allow themselves to cover up for Mugabe’s barbarism them they must share in the punishment too!
Turning a blind eye to Mugabe’s blatant vote rigging is one thing but trying doing the same thing – which they will be compelled to do if the West was to cut all its financial support - and getting away with it is another as Mugabe and Malawi’s Banda can testify!

Mutasa says Mugabe would stopped the looting at ZBC etc. because he is a "principled leader" - principled my a***!

MDC-T’s Gorden Moyo, who was minister for state enterprises in the unity administration: “We raised these issues when they came out but nothing happened. They are known. The President (Mugabe) was aware." He was responding to the many stories of top managers in government owned institution like ZBC and Council earning huge salaries whilst the ordinary workers were not being paid their pittance wages for months on end.

When Mugabe did nothing, what did MDC do about it, that is what the nation would like to know. Nothing!

“The President is a principled leader. I do not think he could have heard such cases of corruption and fail to act,” Mutasa said. What a lot of bull!

The whole world knows Mugabe, his wife and family have as many as 13 farms - farms seized from white farmers in an orgy of violence supposedly to be redistributed to the landless peasants. Where were his principles then?

Mugabe has never held free and fair elections ever since he got into power. For the last five years the tyrant has sucked the little wealth the nation had to finance his vote rigging operations of the July 2013 elections bankrupting the nation in the process. Again where were his principles then?

Mugabe is a corrupt and murderous tyrant who have robbed the people of their freedom, liberty, humanity and hope. Didymus Mutasa is just another Zanu PF parrot singing praises of the tyrant to earn his share of the loot - he too has a looted farm and has enjoyed the privileges of ministerial office for 34 years!

MDC were in the GNU to bring about meaningful democratic change. When they got on the gravy train they too forget they were there to destroy it. Ever since Tsvangirai got his $4 million mansion he saw no evil, heard none and said absolutely nothing - "Vhara muromo!" as we say in Shona.

Zimbabweans have to wake up to the political reality that unless they take a real active interest in bringing about real democratic change in the country then they will have no future!
