“Has it ver dawned on him (Chamisa) that what he is doing: repeating the same mistakes of taking part in flawed elections without reforms is his undoing?” asked Nomazulu Thata in he latest article in Bulawayo 24.
My dear sister, you have hit the nail on the head there. If we assume that his primary intention in participating in the flawed elections, let us assume for a moment that the much touted “plugged all Zanu PF vote rigging loop holes #Godisinit” were not lies, was to win and be president. Chamisa has failed to win the rigged elections.
If the truth be said, and it must be said now, Chamisa and his MDC/CCC friends had no choice but to keep participating in flawed elections knowing fully well that with no reforms implemented the process was “so flawed, so illegal, the only logical step was to withdraw” as David Coltart confessed in his book. In the book Coltart says they did not withdraw out of greed.
“The (2013) electoral process was so flawed, so illegal, that the only logical step was to withdraw, which would compel SADC to hold Zanu PF to account. But such was the distrust between the MDC-T and MDC-N that neither could withdraw for fear that the other would remain in the elections, winning seats and giving the process credibility,” confessed David Coltart in his Book, The Struggle Continues 50 years of Tyranny in Zimbabwe.
Greed was not even the half of it!
When SADC leaders realised that no meaningful democratic reform were implemented during the 2008 to 2013 GNU and without the reforms the upcoming Zimbabwe elections would be a repeat of the 2008 marred elections. They called a special SADC Summit in June 2013, in Maputo Mozambique; they wanted the elections postponed until reforms were implemented.
“If you participate in the elections, you will lose. The elections are done!” SADC leaders warned Morgan Tsvangirai and his MDC fiends to their faces at the Summit!
Zanu PF did not want the elections postponed, naturally. The party argued there were no outstanding reforms to be implemented.
It turned out, MDC leaders had not submitted even one reform proposal in 5 years of the GNU.Not even one!
SADC leaders could not demand the elections to be postponed when there were no reforms to implement.
MDC leaders could boycott the elections demanding reforms before elections when they are the one who had failed to submit even one reform proposal in 5 years of the GNU. And so they adopted the new line - that the opposition has strategies to win in rigged elections. All lies, as we have seen!
It is a crying shame that the Chamisa chete chete supporters have continued to believe in these idiotic winning rigged elections lies and participated in the flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy and perpetuate the nation’s suffering. Zimbabwe’s economic meltdown and political oppression have cause heart breaking human suffering.
The prospect of Chamisa conning his followers to participate in flawed 2028 elections to perpetuate the dictatorship and the tragic human suffering and deaths is real. The followers are refusing to see Chamisa for whom he is - corrupt, incompetent and a liar and not the infallible demigod they want him to be.
What can one do when some one insists the blue sky is green! What is more, they have the vote and there are 2 million of them out there!

@ Nomazulu
When Chamisa and company failed to implement even one token reform during the GNU, they had no choice but to abandon implementing reforms. They starting preaching the idiotic nonsense that they had devised strategies to win rigged elections. Nelson Chamisa's infamous "I have plugged all the Zanu PF vote rigging loop holes. #Godisinit!" was one such lie!
Fortunately for Chamisa and tragically for the nation, Chamisa had millions of brain dead followers who believe the lies and have participated in flawed elections only to give Zanu PF legitimacy and give CCC leaders a few gravy train seats all at the expense of perpetuating the dictatorship and the nation's suffering!
@ Godfrey
Rather than joining - you and like-minded individuals who are skeptical of Chamisa's rhetoric should develop and promote your own agenda for change. If your message is convincing it may resonate with the 2 million and win their support. Then you sit out the election and get noticed and recognised.”
This is just a roundabout way of saying “Leave Chamisa alone. He is an untouchable demigod who must not be questioned much less held to account by mere mortals!”
One has to ask you again: Do you accept that all those in or aspiring to hold public office MUST be accountable to the people? If you do and not just pay lip service then you would know that Chamisa is a public figure and, per se, accountable to the people regardless of whether the said people belong to a political party of their own.
Zimbabwe has had the great misfortune of having Zanu PF thugs and buffoons who have denied the people their basic freedoms and rights including a meaningful say in the governance of the country. The idiots have argued that they have the divine right to rule by virtue of having spearheaded to war of independence.
The MDC/CCC sell out and their brain dead supporters are up in arms demanding that they too should do as they please and not held account by anyone because “they have been in the political trenches!”
Of course, it is all nonsense. You cannot say you liberated the people when you continue to deny them the basic freedoms and rights! Chamisa & co. have failed to implement even one reform in 25 years because the sold out and now they do not want to account for selling out.
All leaders are accountable to the people - that is NOT NEGOTIABLE. It is a pity that even these basic tenets of democracy and good governance have to be explained again and again and agin. No wonder we are a failed state!
@ Wilfred
"That's what I have been saying all along but alas we focus on Chamisa who has failed to get power through elections or the courts."
It would be very gratifying to know that you not only KNOW that Chamisa has failed but that he sold out of implementing reforms and is a liar who has conned his brain dead followers to participate in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy and perpetuate the dictatorship. If you KNEW and comprehended the full import of that then you would also know that as long as is able to con the 2 m brain dead to participate in flawed elections nothing will change. Nothing!
@ Mando
So we cannot hold Chamisa to account unless we hold all the other leaders to account? This is the foolishness that have encourage our leaders to believe they are demigods who must never be held to account.
This is just a roundabout way of saying “Leave Chamisa alone. He is an untouchable demigod who must not be questioned much less held to account by mere mortals!”

We should be discussing other pressing issues but a stuck instead on the grade one stuff. 45 years after independence and in this day and age some one is still failing to grasp the concept that leaders are accountable. Fcuk me!

“Uchabatwa bp hako ,ramba uchiita stress nekurwisa Zanu pf ,unofunga kuti bato regutsa ruzhinji ringa cheuka vaka fanana nemi.

Zanu PF has depended on MDC/CCC leaders selling out and conning their followers to participate in rigged elections to get legitimacy. Stop the MDC/CCC brain dead participating and Zanu PF will not have political legitimacy; Mnangagwa knows that only too well.
Mnangagwa created POLAD to reward the losing presidential candidate and entice them to keep participating in flawed elections. The trick work to well because in 2023 there would have been 100s of presidential candidates. The US$20 000 nomination fee was to weed out the would be candidates.
Mnangagwa’s agents are doing their best brain wash Chamisa’s supporter to believe that in 2028 Chamisa will finally win the rigged elections! Zanu PF will have 100s of Baba Gukwa characters leaking Zanu PF secrets just to create the impression Chamisa has the party on the ropes.
In 2023 Chamisa was boasting to Blessed Mhlanga that CCC members voted in Zanu PF primaries. When Zanu PF tried to do the same to CCC, he stopped. Guess what he was the one he lost his party to Zanu PF infiltrators by his own admission!
If Chamisa’s brain dead followers do NOT participate in the 2028 elections and Zanu PF is denied legitimacy there will be a lot more than the crying and gnashing of teeth in all the Zanu PF ruling elite households! Zanu PF is counting on Chamisa to save them once again!
@ Wilfred
“If you insist that he will always con us cone what may then there is nothing to talk about you are simply saying he has better brains than you and me unlike Zanu PF who use violence.”
So you think Chamisa and his MDC/CCC friend are being smart in conning the people to participate in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy and perpetuating the nation’s suffering for the sake of a few gravy train seats! Fcuk me!
@ Chief Ndiweni
"Wakamuvhoterei, isu hatina problem nezvose zvaari, mangwana ziva wekuvjptera asingakurasisi. We are with Chamisa. Those millions are not complaining, ndowe woga chiwaki chirikungovukura."
The 2 million were conned to participate in the flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy and perpetuate their own suffering because they believed Chamisa’s idiotic lies. Many of them are so dumb and stupid they will not admit Chamisa lied even now with the benefit of hindsight!
Indeed, the nincompoops amongst them are fuming and frothing to hear Chamisa called a liar the more so because even they know it is true!
Chamisa is corrupt, incompetent and a liar. He is not the infallible demigod you want him to be.
@ Chinono
So Mutharika is not a suitable candidate because he is 85 years old, period! When Mugabe became Prime Minister in 1980 he was a spring chicken in his 50s that did not stop him launching the Gukurahundi massacre and commit other heinous crimes! It is foolish to keep harping on about age, gender, tribe, etc. We should elect our leaders on the basis of the ideas they are offer to take the nation forward.
Great minds are interested in ideas and feeble minds are obsessed about personality. In Africa, even those society look up to for guidance are obsessed with trivial matters!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WM3heIXP8Bs
Mbuya Nehanda and all the true freedom fighters of Zimbabwe must be spinning in their graves to see how the nation finally booted out the British colonial oppressors only to bring the Chinese who are using Zanu PF thugs to loot and oppress the people worse than the British ever did!
If you cannot see anything of substance then trivial matters will be all that matters!
@ Madziva
The military did not stop MDC leaders from implement the democratic reforms that would have stopped Zanu PF rigging the elections. Mugabe bribed them with the trappings of high office and they forgot all about the reforms.
Chamisa said CCC would win big the 2023 elections because he "plugged all the Zanu PF vote rigging loop holes. #Godisinit!" He even evoked the name of the Almighty!
People must stop this nauseating Zanu PF mentality of claiming the party will revive the economy to create millions of jobs during election campaigns. After elections the party complains of the sanctions!
He (Kasukuwere) is not called Paraquat for nothing. People lost lives at his behest. Very dangerous, notorious and unrepentant. And he thinks we have forgotten. How could we ever forget?
Zimbabweans have such poor memory, how many times have they been conned to participate in flawed elections because they believed an idiotic lie of winning rigged elections repeated over and over again!
@ Michelle Mystique
“If the problem is ZANU-PF rigging the elections then you need to change the game. Stop waiting for elections to bring about the change you need as citizens. I feel like we are constantly trapped in election cycles because we think change lies on the other side of an election. We are so caught up by the charades and performative activism by our so-called opposition leaders that we don't even see our own power to stop participating in flawed and futile processes.
If the problem for example is that there are children still learning under trees because ZANU-PF keeps pocketing the budget meant to improve the education system, what is stopping us from pooling our resources to build classrooms in our local communities?”
That is as good a definitions of the economic, social and political cul-de-sac Zanu PF headed the nation into. So instead of holding the regime to account for the misuse of public funds you dig even deeper to solve the problem. The regime’s response is to be even more wasteful and the situation get even worse not better.
In a country where unemployment has soared to dizzying height of 90% it is not surprising basic services such as education and health care have all but collapse; the whole community has been impoverished, they cannot even afford to buy food!
The political trap we have fallen into is born out of our ignorance and naivety. We, the people, have risked all to elect MDC/CCC leaders to bring about the democratic changes the nation needed to end the Zanu PF dictatorship WITHOUT taking the precaution to know what those changes were.
Zanu PF bribed the MDC/CCC leaders with a share of the gravy train good life and they not only forgot about the reforms but have have been participating in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy. MDC/CCC leaders are Zanu PF team B in all but name playing for team A to win and have legitimacy for a share of the spoils of power. And we, the people, in our ignorance and naivety, are still lost in our sloth-like slumber unaware of the new political reality at play.
Zanu PF blatantly rigged the 2023 elections because MDC leaders have failed to implement even one token reform in 25 years. Chamisa lied about plugging the vote rigging loop holes to con people to participate in flawed elections. This should have setoff alarm bell ringing in every thinking Zimbabwean’s head that MDC/CCC have sold out! Not so in the heads of the millions who still consider Chamisa a demigod!
As long as the millions remain in their sloth-like mental slumber, Chamisa will con them to participate in flawed 2028 elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy and thus perpetuate the dictatorship.
A nation of brain dead sloths will never produce a healthy and functioning democracy. Never!

"Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord."
A tree will be known by its fruit.
For what Mnangagwa did in the 2008 electoral coup alone, he should be in Chikurumbi Prison ans not State House! And the suggestion that he should be allowed to rule until 2030; that he cometh in the name off the Lord and our ancestors is blasphemous, to say the least!
Zanu PF does not have the divine right to rig elections and rule Zimbabwe. Forget the vision 2030 nonsense, the nation's number one focus is implementing reforms to ensure free, fair and credible elections!
@ Gambiza-Ngwenya
"Give us a solution that spending years pointing at the past failures , 2028 is just by the corner ,give us the remedy or just shut up."
The very suggestion that I should offer a solution or shut up is absurd! Are you suggesting that Chamisa is only accountable to those who have solutions?
Give Chamisa give you a solution in 2023 and yet you not only followed him but are defending him. You are not interested in any solution but in silencing me because I have dared to question Chamisa.
Leaders are accountable to the people, is one on the key tenets of democracy. We gave gone through the fundamentals of democracy and cannot afford to be stuck on this. Only nincompoops would still question this.
Well, get this into your nincompoop head; Chamisa is accountable to the people whether or not they have a solution. I will not shut up much less silenced by a nincompoop!
@ Michelle Mystique
“So what is the solution you are presenting other than being trapped in cycles of blame? You want to head into another election? With reforms implemented by who? You will elect these people based on what track record? Why not have them demonstrate their capacity to lead the country before the next election instead of voting for people based on promises?”
If we will never have a healthy and functioning democracy because we are a nation of brain dead sloths then surely the solution is to cure ourselves of this curse first!
@ SaMaka
So you cannot imagine a situation in which Zimbabwe can ever have free, fair and credible elections - a feat other countries like Botswana and SA have accomplished?
@ Money maker
"Zanu kuramba kwayo kuita reform inozivakuti tozobviswa yet aidikubva saka inogonakuti avepo but ichishandisa regging systems yayo."
We have been over this ground already! Zimbabwe had the golden opportunity to implement all the democratic reforms during the 2008 to 2013 GNU. We failed to implement even one token reform. Why?

Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. The tree is known by its fruit.
Is there anything that Chamisa has done to confirm he is the Lord's anointed, that God is in everything that he has said and done? Alas! The answer must be an unequivocal NO!
Chamisa & co. sold out on implement the democratic reforms for 25 years including 5 years in the GNU because Mugabe bribed them. Was God in that treasonous betrayal? Of course, not!
Chamisa & co. are claiming divine guides in what they do and say so the purposes of avoiding democratic accountability. Zimbabweans must not allow the politician to take advantage of their deep spirituality of deny to escape democratic accountability. Chamisa & co. are NOT divinely inspired and per se are accountable.
@ Chief Ndiweni
“Does dambudzo come in the name of the Lord. Musoro wakazvimba nevupenzi.”
This is really nauseating! So because Mnangagwa is a murderous tyrant Nelson Chamisa must be a saint would can do no wrong?
You cannot judge Chamisa on his record without referring to Mnangagwa. You can only have good or bad, black or white, right or wrong and so since Mnangagwa is bad Chamisa must be good. In a world with all the colours of the rainbow you can only see black or white.
Some of us can see all the colours of the rainbow. In this case, both Mnangagwa and Chamisa are not only bad, they are evil!
How anyone can be so shallow, thick and slow as to think Chamisa a saint because Mnangagwa is a murderous thug goes to show we have some people with a very low IQ. You are a nincompoop and it is a great misfortune that there are millions of nincompoops like you and you lot have the vote.
Mnangagwa blatantly rigged the 2023 elections and got away with it because 2 million nincompoops participated in the flawed elections even after they were warned that doing so would give Zanu PF legitimacy and perpetuate their own suffering. Chamisa conned them to participate with an idiotic lie - that he plugged all the vote rigging loop holes.
There is a real danger Chamisa will con the nincompoops yet again to participate in flawed 2028 elections.
The nincompoops believe Chamisa is God’s anointed. They believe his repeated #Godisinit claims and idiotic lies of winning rigged elections. No wonder Zimbabwe is a failed state; with nincompoops like you, Chief, for voters, we are doomed!
So every one of the country’s 10 Provinces has its own well resourced Zanu PF propaganda desk and their number one task is to promote Mnangagwa. It is normal to buy party leaders in the area new vehicles and yet the hospitals in the area have no medicine much less an ambulance!
The glory of Caesar is now more important than the good of Rome.
The looting of the nation’s resources has reached nauseating heights and the looted wealth is used to bankroll the regime’s agenda to stay in power at all costs. The regime has all the key players in Zimbabwe including the opposition int is deep pockets. Breaking Zanu PF’s iron grip on power is not going to be a walk in the park.

@ Geza
Geza's 1 st July address.
If there was ever any doubt what the Geza revolution is all about Geza has restated it - this a Zanu PF factional war for the control of the dictatorship. Just as the 2017 factional war was about replacing one dictator with another the present fight will not do any better.
What the people want is an end to the dictatorship and not swapping one dictator for another.
The Geza revolution is one hyena fighting another, the goat has no business taking sides since which ever hyena wins the goat will be on the menu to celebrate the victory!
@ Sipho
✅ Acknowledged.
No one can deny that ZANU PF is extremely well resourced because of looting and partisan corruption in awarding government contracts and tenders.
Every province has a propaganda machinery, fully funded fleets, and leaders rewarded with cars while clinics have no basic painkillers and schools lack chalk. This is the brutal reality that most citizens have known for decades.
However here’s the harder truth that waiting and doing nothing will not weaken that machinery but it only strengthens it.
📌 Fact No.1 -
In 1980, ZANU PF had no state resources, yet it built influence through mobilization, community structures, and strategic messaging. Today, ordinary citizens have more tools (social media, networks, access to global platforms) than they ever did then.
📌 Fact No 2 -
Every dictatorship throughout history has appeared invincible until it wasn’t. From Kaunda in Zambia to Banda in Malawi and recently Mugabe here at home all seemed unshakeable until collective action and a shift in public mindset forced them out be it through military intervention or otherwise.
📌 Fact No 3 -
Zimbabwe has one of the highest literacy rates in Africa (over 90%). This means the population has the potential to understand and challenge propaganda if they are consistently engaged and empowered. This is already a strategy that is included in the ZNCU constitution and that will also be pursued with the same degree of urgency and intensity as the electoral reform strategy.
🛑 I have a similar concern as @~Michelle Mystique that we have some Defeatist sentiments that are demoralizing and seem aimed at paralyzing action. Saying “it can’t be done” serves the same agenda as ZANU PF’s propaganda to demoralize people into inaction. Are some of us becoming *vakarashi * subconsciously or have always been so?
It’s really starting to sound more like we have counter revolutionary rhetoric than positive thinking that can aid our overall goal as a collective.
💥 Reality check is If we do nothing, we guarantee ZANU PF’s hold. If we act, we might fail, but we also create the possibility of winning. History favors those who move, not those who freeze.
**So yes, ZANU PF has resources, but the people’s collective will and organized action are even more powerful and that starts by rejecting defeatist thinking and taking small, consistent steps to build alternative structures, mobilize, and shift minds. I also agree with @~Michelle Mystique that those who don’t see value in current strategies must sit those strategies out than continue to be agents of doom and gloom trying to demotivate those ready to tryout different strategies **
It might be a good time for Admins to consider the removal of certain individuals whom seem to be sounding more and more against some of the objectives of this project.”
What I have said in the above article is still state the political reality of how much the nation’s resources are being looted and for one purpose and one purpose only - to help Zanu PF remain in power at all cost.
I did not suggest in any way that we should all freeze and give up the fight for change. I have certainly never given up myself. If telling you the truth of the formidable challenges makes you want to give up, that is your business!
I do not think participating in the flawed elections will accomplish anything other than give the vote rigging Zanu PF legitimacy. If you find that position unacceptable, you can remove me from the group that is your decision. The threat of being taken out of the group will not make me abandon my position.
@ Chief Svosve
“If there was ever any doubt , Wiribheti is a 2030’st.”
Chief Svosve, you are a simpleton and per se see the present situation as a choice of either Mnangagwa or Chiwenga. And you have chosen Chiwenga.
I see differently. I see the present situation as a choice between democracy and dictatorship. I see both Mnangagwa and Chiwenga as they really are; they are both dictators and therefore represent the continuation of the dictatorship. And so I have chosen NEITHER. To a simpleton, if I have rejected Chiwenga then I must have accepted Mnangagwa. I must be a “2030’st”, as you put it.
The events of 2017 when you and your MDC/CCC fiends supported Mnangagwa because you fell for the obvious mistake of thinking the choice was between Mugabe and Mnangagwa. You should have learned from that but, alas, you learned nothing.
Zanu PF has rigged elections for 45 years and counting and still you lot participate because you believe idiotic lies from Chamisa that he “plugged all the vote rigging loop holes. #Godisinit!” He even evokes the name of God. The day after the voting is done, he is the one complaining that Zanu PF rigged the elections - the very thing he said would not happen.
But being the nincompoops that you, MDC/CCC supporters, are continue to believe Chamisa’s lies and so are conned again and again perpetration the dictatorship. And you Chief Svosve have become the supporters’ cheer leaders, calling Chamisa “Change Champion in Chief” although you cannot name even one change he has accomplished in 25 years on the political stage.
Poor Zimbabwe! Of course, the nation is doomed. The price one must pay for having millions of simpletons and nincompoops and giving them the vote!
https://www.facebook.com/4415858595176450/videos/1043799014619922
Let us be very clear on what the people of Zimbabwe have risked all to elect MDC/CCC leaders to do these last 25 years: TO IMPLEMENT THE NECESSARY DEMOCRATIC CHANGES TO STOP ZANU PF RIGGING THE ELECTIONS AND THUS END THE DICTATORSHIP.
Mnangagwa blatantly rigged the 2023 elections and got away with it because MDC/CCC leaders not only sold out on reforms but con people to participate knowing fully well that doing so would give Zanu PF legitimacy.
It is nauseating that all MDC/CCC leaders ever do is remind me us how miserable we are under the Zanu PF dictatorship, the regime they are conniving to keep in power! We did not risk all to elect them to tell us that much less to keep Zanu PF in power!
@ Chief Ndiweni

You are paid to harbour personal feeling about chamisa, you are paid to attack chamisa. A true politican goes for his or her own preferred candidate than spending vomiting and defecating about Chamisa. Kumeso sekwegudo.”
The concept of leaders being accountable to the people is a key tenet of a healthy and functioning democracy. It is clear that you will never ever understand how it works. Be that as it may, Chamisa is accountable for selling out on reforms and for conning people to participate in flawed elections - that is not negotiable!
@ The Miz Tris
“What alternative is there?”
I can never see Geza and Chiwenga as an “alternative” no more than I never saw Mnangagwa as an alternative to Mugabe in 2017. The choice here is between a democracy and a dictatorship. Picking Mnangagwa in 2017 did not end the dictatorship because one does not end the dictatorship by replacing one dictator with another. Replacing Mnangagwa with Chiwenga will change nothing too!
Supporting Chiwenga will only help the Zanu PF dictatorship stay in power and how anyone can view that as a viable “alternative” beggars belief!

You forgot to mention that the man who conned millions to participate in the flawed elections told the voters that “he plugged all the vote rigging loop holes. #Godisinit!” When the damage was done - giving Zanu PF legitimacy - he admitted the elections were rigged.
Indeed, he knew that Zanu PF was rigging the elections. He did not even bother to do something as basic as deploy election agents at all the Polling Stations even though he had received the funds for this. He pocketed the money according to Chalton Hwende, a senior CCC leader.

Zimbabwe is a failed state. Our basic services such as education, health care, supply of water, etc. have all but collapsed. Our political system is dysfunctional, the ruling elite are riding roughshod over the people's freedoms and human dignity. How did we come to this?
Answer: we have developed a knack for seeing only what we want to see and so live in cloud cuckoo land divorced from reality. We "walk on sewage and think it normal," as Ian Smith so aptly put it!
@ Moyo
“This will not help anyone, please bring ideas to remove Zanupf from power. Why fighting Chamisa all the time.”
Has it ever occurred to you that by failing to implement any reforms in 25 years including the 5 GNU years Chamisa and company have helped Zanu PF stay in power? If you are therefore serious about removing Zanu PF you must remove the sudo opposition masquerading as the party fighting to remove Zanu PF whilst doing the exact opposite.
So you do not know that the primary purpose of the GNU was to implement the reforms and that MDC leaders sold out. Even now with the benefit of hindsight you still do not know this! How is it possible that anyone can be so shallow, thick and slow; they hardly know their left hand from right!
No wonder Chamisa has had no problem conning millions to participate in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy and perpetuate the nation’s suffering. We have some very ignorant and naive people amongst us!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a-VPwT_Txnw
The 1983 TO 1987 Zanu PF Gukurahundi massacre was about political domination as contrast to tribal domination, as Dr Joshua Nkomo pointed out. The signing of the Zanu PF and PF Zapu Unity Accord in 1987 swallowed up PF Zapu to most powerful political party posing a real political threat to Zanu PF. The Unity Accord cleared the deck allowing Zanu PF to impose the de facto one party dictatorship.
Zimbabwe is a failed state because, 45 years after independence, we are still failing to govern ourselves!
@ Home Haven
The 2008 elections were the water shed elections and both SADC and AU denied Zanu PF legitimacy. We knew then that we needed to implement reforms first before holding further elections. We do not need to keep repeating the foolishness of participating in flawed elections.
Now that UZA has participated in the 2023 elections and learned first hand that reforms are necessary for free and fair elections. Is the party going to participate in the 2028 elections if no reforms are implemented before then?
@ Home Haven
"The problem is, this is not time for us to decide either we are going to participate or not, as we are still pushing for reforms....so our language is different."
In short, you will participate in the 2028 elections with no reforms implemented just as you participated in 2023. You are after the few gravy train seats Zanu PF gives away as bait.
@ Home Haven
"Can you explain the goodies of not participating in any election. Mr Mukori?"
Here is what David Coltart had to say on the subject!
In short, Chamisa & co have been participating in these flawed elections knowing fully well that doing so would give Zanu PF legitimacy and perpetuate the dictatorship out of greed.
Of course, Chamisa knew he was lying about plugging the vote rigging loop holes to con people to participate to win the gravy train seats on offer. CCC leaders took up the gravy train seats even after both SADC and AU condemned the 2023 election process as flawed and illegal.
No doubt, UZA will be hoping to win a few gravy train seats in the 2028 elections knowing fully well that the election are flawed and participating will give vote rigging Zanu PF legitimacy! There are no goodies for NOT participating in the flawed elections, at least not from Zanu PF.
@ Minister Garwe
So Zanu PF is going to rig the 2028 elections so that Mnangagwa stay in power under the pretext he is the only one competent to revive the economy.
Zanu PF has denied Zimbabweans their right to a meaningful say in the governance of the country for the last 45 years and it is for this reason Zimbabwe is a failed state. We must end the curse of rigged elections if we are serious about getting the blessings of good governance.
Who governs Zimbabwe post 2028 must be the decision of the people of Zimbabwe in a free, fair and credible elections. Zanu PF must stop this foolishness of imposing Mnangagwa and the party under the pretext he is the only man competent to govern the nation.
@ Chamisa
“I’m not shy to be labelled a politician because that’s my work and Mnangagwa knows that. We have given him a torrid time. He is having sleepless nights because of us,” Chamisa said.
“You might say how is it possible with that small body. It is possible and is happening because it is not the size of the dog that matters, but the fight in a dog. At one time, an elephant was troubled by an ant.”
Mnangagwa blatantly rigged the 2023 elections and got away with it because Chamisa and his MDC/CCC friends have not only failed failed the implement even one token reform to stop Zanu PF rigging but he conned 2m people to participate in the flawed elections knowing fully well that doing so would give Zanu PF legitimacy. And yet, surprise surprise he is here boasting of giving Mnangagwa sleepless nights!
Chamisa has the great fortune in that millions of Zimbabweans have no clue what the democratic changes the nation has risked all to elect MDC/CCC leaders to implement are much less that the GNU was the best chance to get the reforms implemented. The millions do not know that MDC/CCC leaders sold out on reforms, even now with the benefit of hindsight they still have no clue what reforms are about.
MDC/CCC leaders have been Zanu PF team B in all but name. They have failed to implement even one token reform in 25 year to help Zanu PF rig elections and stay in power. They have participated in flawed elections knowing doing so will give Zanu PF legitimacy.
Chamisa told a blatant lie of “plugging all the vote rigging loop holes. #Godisinit!” He even evoked the name of Good. To con people to participate in flawed elections.
How anyone can ever believe Chamisa is giving Mnangagwa sleepless nights by helping him rig elections and get away with it must be real thick, shallow and slow! No doubt there are many of his brain dead followers who would believe him!
@ Hope Chin’ono
Did the people but two truck loads of apple $10 @ from Magaya claiming they were blessed.
Possible! Zimbabweans have been an ignorant and gullible lot.
Millions participated in flawed 2023 elections because they believed Chamisa’s idiotic lie that he “plugged all the vote rigging loop holes. #Godisinit!” He even had the chutzpah to evoke the name of God Almighty! He did not even bother to deploy election agents at all the Polling Stations although he had received the money for the purpose! He pocketed the money!
An ignorant and gullible electorate is a curse to the nation for they easily con to act even to damage their own common interest as does participating in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy and perpetuate their own suffering. There is a real danger Chamisa wilful con his followers to repeat the folly in the 2028 elections!
@ Coltart
“Bulawayo mayor David Coltart has called on members of the Rotary Club in Zimbabwe to become a moral compass for the nation, urging them to uphold truth, peace and ethical leadership in the face of national decay and a weakened justice system.
Speaking at the Rotary Club of Bulawayo presidential induction dinner held recently at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair, Coltart challenged Rotarians to embody the principles of the organisation and defend values that can help rebuild Zimbabwe's social and moral fabric.
"The Four-Way Test was created in 1932. These four principles raise profound questions and they provide our nation with the guide which we are desperately in need of," Coltart said.
He emphasised the importance of truth as the foundation for both city and nation-building, pointing to the deterioration of the justice system as evidence of the country's moral crisis.
"Those of you who are lawyers know how our justice system has been terribly undermined. We do not place value in truth right across our nation," he said. "You play an important role in being a non-partisan organisation and that gives me an opportunity to restate how critically important truth is in building any city or nation.”
The truth! The moral decay was started and is sustained by those in public office. Of all people David Coltart knows that he and his MDC/CCC friends were elected to bring about the democratic changes to stop Zanu PF riding roughshod over the people’s freedoms and rights including the right to a meaningful say in the governance of the country and even the right to life.
Coltart & co. have failed to implement even one token reform in 25 years and worst of all have been participating in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy and thus perpetuate the nation’s suffering for the same reason they failed to implement reforms - greed. What is more - Coltart knows it all!
So Coltart is asking Rotarians to be the nation’s moral compass in the classical tongue in the cheek hypocritical “do as I say and NOT as I do!”
The truth is as long as we have political leaders whose moral compass is broken and yet have carte blanche powers to rig elections and stay in power, nothing will ever change. The nation will continue to sink into the abyss. The Rotary Club members, like the rest of us, must focus on overhauling the nation’s corrupt and dysfunctional political system!
Until we fix our failed political system, this nation is doomed to remain a failed state with all the tragic economic waste and human suffering that entails! We cannot afford to have greedy hypocrite defining the destiny of our nation!
@ Momo
The Constitutional Court could have declared the 2018 result null and void and called for a rerun for example. SADC and AU refused to give Zanu PF legitimacy following the wanton violence of 2008 elections forcing the party to accept the GNU. You clearly have no clue what you are talking about!
@ Chief Svosve
“I’m not playing with you in the muddy, tamba wega mumatope ako. We give you Mnagagwa because you are always on his side fending off and attacking every opposition leader and denigrating every opposition initiative. I stand where i was and where I have been with my democratic alternative leader whom u always attack . Zve ZANU ndezvako iwe mu operative . Idya mari dzako dzekutengesa wakanyarara. You belong to the same group of elite sellouts like Ibbo Mandaza , Jah Prezah etc.”
Let the people and history judge who has sided with Mnangagwa at the expense of national interest. He who failed to implement even one democratic reforms in 25 years including the 5 years in the GNU when they had the golden opportunity to do so.
He who lied to the people to con them to participate in flawed elections knowing that Zanu PF was rigging the election and participating will only give Zanu PF legitimacy.
Last but just as important, he who have bee been Chamisa’s cheer leader calling him Change Champion in Chief and yet has failed to name one change he has ever brought!
The sellouts and their supporting team are gearing to con people to participate in flawed 2028 elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy and perpetuate the dictatorship. Stopping this madness is the number one challenge before this nation!

"I am giving Mnangagwa sleepless nights!" said Chamisa. This just another one of Chamisa's idiotic lies on par with "I have plugged all Zanu PF vote rigging loop holes. #Godisinit!"
Mnangagwa blatantly rigged the 2023 elections and got away with it because MDC/CCC leader have failed to implement even one token reform in 25 years and Chamisa conned the people to participate in flawed elections knowing fully well that doing so will give vote rigging Zanu PF legitimacy. Chamisa did not even bother to deploy election agents at all polling stations even thou he had received the funding for it.
He is gearing to repeat the same political connivance with Zanu PF in the flawed 2028 elections.
Why would Mnangagwa and Zanu PF have sleepless nights to see Chamisa back at work betraying the people for the sake of keeping the regime in power? To get millions of his followers to believe these lies and participate in the flawed elections yet again, both Chamisa and Mnangagwa have each to play their respective enmity roles.
Mnangagwa will have carefully managed attacks on Chamisa to backup the claim Chamisa is a serious political threat to Zanu PF and the regime is having sleepless nights over it. Chamisa was paid a cool US$20 m for his role in helping Mnangagwa rig the 2023 elections and get away with it, according to Jealous Mawarire. Judas Iscariot must be green with envy!

Christopher Hatikure Mutsvangwa, you may be Zimbabwe's Joseph Goebbels and "Chemical" Ali all rolled up into one propagandist supremo, but even you cannot turn Mnangagwa, a corrupt, vote rigging and murderous psychopath into a law abiding democrat. The nation is sick and tired of your propaganda bulls***t!
Zimbabwe is a fail state because we have been stuck with the corrupt and tyrannical Zanu PF dictatorship complete with its MDC/CCC side kick for 45 years. The number one priority for Zimbabwe is to stop Zanu PF rigging the 2028 elections or, at the very least, stop the regime getting political legitimacy if it rigs elections.
@ Tonho
"And you think that can be achieved naChamisa. One-man band...his way or noway kkkk"
Chamisa & co failed to implement even one democratic reform during the GNU when they had the golden opportunity to do so. They have since abandon all hope of stopping Zanu PF rigging elections and have been participating in flawed elections for a share of the spoils. They have been telling their gullible followers CCC will win rigged elections to get them to participate. How anyone can believe such nonsense especially after 45 years of Zanu PF rigging elections, beggars belief.
