Chindagwinyira Tsvangirai campaigning for yes vote for rubbish Copac!

MDC-T leader and Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai will headline a ‘Yes’ campaign rally in Gweru on Saturday as the party continues to canvass for national endorsement of the country’s draft new constitution

These are the rallies PM Tsvangirai and MDC will have the full support of the Police, indeed even Chipangano thugs will be harassing people to make sure they are every well attended!

This Copac constitution is the only thing Tsvangirai has to show for all his five years in the GNU and he has set his mind to getting the nation to accept regardless of the fact that it is not the democratic constitution the nation expected. This Constitution was "dictated" by Mugabe, a tyrant, for Christ sake; it is really naive to expect it to be a democratic one!
Tsvangirai ndiChandagwinyira, shavi rebenzi rinodziya moto zuva richibanda nokuti raira rafunga kuita chinhu ronobva rangara dzeve! Tsvangirai is possessed by the demon of the madman Chandagwinyira Blind Determination, who would seat by the camp fire on a roasting hot day because once he decides to do something absolutely nothing will ever stop him.

Bindura was shut down Saturday as the town hosted Mugabe’s US$ 600 000.00 birthday bash!
US$ 600 000.00 and only last week Parerenyatwa Hospital, the biggest government hospital, did not have something as basic as running water! Zimbabwe's corrupt political system knows no bounces and the only thing left for it now is to crash down! As one would say in Shona, "Kana chingoma choririsa chavakubvaruka!"

@ Martin

And Tsvangirai is out today campaigning for a yes vote to a constitution that will allow Mugabe to rig elections. Why are you obsessed about things you cannot change and ignore those within your powers to change. It is in your power to force the implementation of the reforms that will stop Mugabe rigging elections. So why you make sure the reforms are implemented then?

@ Chimbwido

Yes of course and it is pure coincidence that the "surreptitious and clandestine radios" are problem now that the nation is having a serious debate on the constitution and possible elections? You are sounding more and more like Squealer in Animal Farm!

Mugabe is just taking full advantage of the fact that PM Tsvangirai and MDC, who should be standing up for the people here, are hardly ever on the ball on this issue or anything for that matter!

@Chimbwido

Mugabe and Zanu PF do not have the right to deny the people a meaningful say in the gov-ernance of the country; that is not negotiable and no amount of brutal oppression, "kumamisa vanhu", will ever change that. The only thing the brutal oppression has done is earn Mugabe, you and your fellow thugs a date with the hangman. The wheels on justice turn very slowly, I know but they do turn, and you date with the hangman is closer at hand than you think!
I know with Tsvangirai out campaigning for a yes vote, Mugabe and Zanu PF have very good reasons to feel confident that the party's hold on power is secure. The real battle was winning the yes vote in the referendum the elections will be a mere formality for Mugabe. And Tsvangirai is out fighting the tough battle on Mugabe's behalf, it is simply unbelievable that even Tsvangirai would be this naive and stupid; but there it is!

@ Yepec

Yepec you are speaking there just a blind MDC loyalist you are. So you think like Tsvangirai and the rest of the leadership that you can take on Mugabe and Zanu PF in yet another bloody election?
It is ok for Tsvangirai, he will have another mad dash for the Netherland Embassy and all the other leaders will all disappear like morning mist in the African sun. It is the ordinary povo who will face the music alone as always. At least one million were internally displaced in 2008, hundreds of thousands were beaten and/or raped and over 500 were murdered. We do not want that repeated again this year, you idiots!
Tsvangirai had five years to get the reforms implemented that would have taken away Muga-be's dictatorial powers and thus guarantee free and fair elections - free of violence. He failed to do so.
The country can still avoid a repeat of 2008 if the people voted no in the referendum and yet it is none other than Tsvangirai himself who out there right now campaigning for a yes vote, campaigning for a repeat of the 2008 violence! How irresponsible is that?!

COPAC co-chair Munyaradzi Paul Mangwana told the state media that many parts of the country were yet to deliberate on the draft after the available copies ran out. He said his committee was now making frantic efforts to secure US$ 500 000 needed to print more copies.

There are reports that people are asking issues not included in the summary copies that are readly available raising questions on the wisdom of having the summary in the first place.

Sokwanele a pressure group says the picking of 16 March referendum date by Mugabe is in breach of the SADC rules of elections because it does not allow the people time to study the document.

‘The draft document is complex and very long (172 pages); common sense dictates that Zimbabweans will need more than a month to first obtain a copy, and then peruse it, and then discuss it." said Sokwanele.

The referendum may still go ahead on 16 March 2013 but no one will ever deny that it was NOT the true voice of an informed people indeed it was NEVER ever intented to be!

14 MDC supporters were arrested and are held in Chegutu after the bus they were travelling in was stopped because it was "travelling ahead of its bus schedule".

Responding to the latest arrests, the MDC-T said in a statement that the party was disturbed by this selective application of the law by the police. Yes that is all the MDC ever do issue one statement after another about the party being "disturbed"! This is totally hopeless.

The GPA came up with a raft of democratic reforms which MDC has failed to get implemented these last five years; if the reforms had been implemented then Mugabe's dictorial powers would have been taken away and all this chaos, violence and murders would be a thing of the past!

Zimbabweans have to wake-up to the reality that until the reforms are implemented the abuse of power by the Police, Zanu PF thugs, etc. will continue. And wake-up to the fact that a no in the referendum is the nation's very last chance to force the implementation of the reforms. The very last chance!

The police on Tuesday told the NCA they could not go ahead with its meeting, which was set for Friday the 8th of March at the Chipinge Town Council Boardroom. The police said the meeting was “illegal”.

This government has lost all credibility to conduct this referendum! If the voters have an brains then they must be asking themselves why Mugabe and Zanu PF are pulling all the stops to make sure their have the yes vote?
