Greedy amass more than they need because they have no sense of "sharing or fairness" says Joseph Hwande.

"Greedy people grab and amass more than what they need because they are not conditioned with a sense of sharing or fairness," said Joseph Hwande in his weekly “Heart of the Matter” weekly program on S W Radio Africa. That is the most profound statement of fact that I have ever heard.

The fact that Mugabe and his cronies have been allowed to grab and amass so much wealth and waste even more over the last 34 years and dragging the nation into this hell-hole unchallenged is something every thinking Zimbabwean out there should hang their head in shame for. What kind of people are we who can be so indifferent as top allow a gang of village bullies takeover the whole country and thrash everything causing so much suffering, death and despair to the people themselves to their own children and to posterity? Shame on us!

@ Justice

You clearly missed the key word in Hwande's carefully crafted statement which is "grab". Greedy people like Mugabe and his cronies grab or loot; they do not create or add value to anything. To them it is all about grab, grab; loot, loot. People like Henry Ford, Bill Gates – capitalists - make things, cars or computers respectively, which they then sell and make their fortunes. What has Mugabe, Mujuru, Obert Mpofu, Cuthbert Dube ever made? Absolutely nothing!

All greedy people ever do is grab and loot what others have made. When you loot you do not add value and in most cases you actually devalue whatever it is you looted directly or indirectly.

Mugabe and his cronies looted the productive white owned farms be-cause they were too lazy to start from scratch. Seizing the farms was the ease bit but keeping the productive was a different ball game as we now know.

Since the farm invasions; Zimbabwe, once the bread basket of the re-gion, has been begging for food year on year. The bumper crops and fine herds of animals we used to see in these farms are all gone; weeds and thorny bushes have reclaimed the farms. As my late mother would say; "Munda hauzvirimi!"

The other important aspect of capitalism which is noticeably lacking in Mugabe's looting culture is that the former encourages and thrives on competition whilst competition is stifled in the later. It is whom you know and not what you know that counts in Mugabe’s patronage sys-tem.

After all one does not need to know anything to grab or loot it! Just grab it, it is now yours! Grab, grab; loot, loot! The greedier the more you will grab and loot.

It is not surprising that looters like you should want to call themselves successful capitalist. The likely of Philip Chiyangwa, Ignatius Chom-bo and Obert Mpofu, the gurus of looting, vehemently maintain that they are successful capitalists. This only serves to underline just what a shallow, ignorant and conceited lot the looters are.

You are no more a capitalist than North Korea is a democracy over fifty years of calling it a Democratic Republic has not change the fact that it is one of the most oppressive totalitarian regimes on earth! You are not a capitalist but a greedy and confused thug who has never done a single day of honest labour but dream of amassing wealth from looting.

When Cuthbert Dube was paying himself $ 500 000 a month out of contribution made by black Zimbabweans earing as little as $300 per month was he still taking from the whites? When Mugabe spent $ 5 million to pay for his daughter whilst 100 children are dying everyday because the health service has collapsed for lack of funds which whites was he robbing exactly?

Mugabe and you, his acolytes, have hidden behind the smoke screen of fighting the whites to justify your continued denial of the ordinary blacks their basic human rights, freedoms and human dignity. Enough. This madness must end and end it will.

As for you, you must explain the blood on your hands. The regime as murdered over 30 000 innocent Zimbabweans, perhaps you can tell us they were all white farmers since you always maintain it is only the whites you are after!

@ Grabmore

All the infrastructure and improvements are all gone my friend. Orange trees have all died or they produce oranges the size of golf balls. Chicken are roosting in combine harvesters!

People like Cephas Msipa are subdividing their 400 hectare farms they got for free into residential stands and selling them for $15 000 each. And you know what, many of them are still destitute!

Ease come ease go! That is one of the hallmarks of looted wealth; it never lasts long because the looters know how to spend it but not how to make it multiple and grow. This why 34 years since this Zanu PF cabal started looting most have nothing t show for all e millions they have looted and are always on the look out for what to loot next.

It is no exaggeration to say Mugabe and his cronies have looted the nation bankrupt and themselves out o power. The fighting over the few scraps of wealth among Mugabe and his cronies is going to tear the dictatorship apart. The regime is finished!

@ New Zimbabwean

This year government is no giving you the "loans" for farm inputs and equipment which you lot ever paid back. The government is broke, rampant corruption has destroyed everything. You lo have killed the goose that laid the golden egg.

Next time you will be queuing for food aid too or starve! How pathetic!

@ Professor Moyo

Professor Jonathan Moyo is a professor of political science at best - the emphasis being on science as contrast to arts - which is a far cry from mathematics. One can add a minus one plus a minus one in series as one would do with batteries to get minus two. But one can also connect them in series but back to or in parallel and come up with all manner of outcome.

People are a lot more complex and how any two may interact is equally complex and certainly not to give the simplistic minus two Professor Moyo is proposing. In the case in point here; the result is Tsvangirai will remain just as incompetent as he has already proven to be or get better.

My prognosis is based on the simple fact that Tsvangirai is breathtakingly incompetent, it is impossible for anyone to be worse than him and therefore he will remain where he is or get better!

It is not even three week ago when Mugabe had the $5 million wedding for his daughter and the week before that a $1 million birth bash. The same Zanu PF government throwing these same expensive parties had been begging the British for money to send the most 10 million children to school saying it did not have the money. So it had no money to give 10 million children the most basic education but had $ 6 million for the birthday and wedding?

These are the stories that speak volumes about Mugabe and what kind of regime he is leading. So this PR exercise is a waste of money.

Psycho(logy) Maiwisa can witter all he please about "virtually every Zimbabwean is fond of" Mugabe the reality is that Zimbabweans know him to be a corrupt and murderous tyrant and hate him with a passion. The people did not vote for Mugabe in the 2013 elections; he rigged the elections.

There is going to be an independent judiciary investigation to establish how the 2013 elections were rigged for historic record purposes but also to make sure those involved are punished for this treasonous act.

If your argument is based on starting a new company because so many others have closed making company space cheap then by the same wait until next month when even more companies will have closed down so space will be even cheaper. Wait until next year and space will e free because so many companies including those started today or next month will to have closed down!

People are not going to invest on the bases that things are getting worse but on the basis that they are getting better. If more and more companies are shutting down who is going to buy whatever you want to sell them?

As long as this Mugabe regime stay in power future will rain grim and no one will invest and so more companies will close and so the cycle will continue until Mugabe goes

"How many foolish euro homosexual enemies, and their traitorous prostitutes BEFORE YOU, have deluded themselves that they can just go ahead and write the epitaph of Zim Patriots and of Zimbabwe? Countless." You say.

Well it is this kind of shallow thinking that must been going on in Zanu PF circles and hence the reason corruption has gone on all these years. You would not listen to the warnings against corruption because all those sounding the warning were "traitorous prostitutes" deluding themselves!

You can call it another delusion but I tell you the corruption has come home to roost, no one is funding the $ 27b ZimAsset, economic crash is real and it is already happening. Watch out!

Mugabe is not running the country; one does not call running from one crisis to the next running the country. The Mugabe lost control of events it is the mess is determining what happens next not Mugabe.

The mess is running Mugabe; but, of course, I do not expect a moron like you to understand those subtle differences! At least, not yet; but you will soon enough because there is not going to be another Harry Houdini escape for Mugabe this time. The grave he has dug for himself through all this rampant corruption is simply too deep for anyone to get out; much less the feeble Mugabe with so many distrustful followers tagging on to his cocktails fearful he would get out and leave them to face the music alone.

The Chinese were his last hope to throw him a rope and pull him out. They too have said it is too risk, they do not want to be sucked into the pit. So this is it!

The epitaph of the firry Mugabe:
Here lies the murderous tyrant who lies were too good to last.
He lied there was no corruption in Zimbabwe
and for years fooled many to the last.
Corruption existed and in our Zimbabwe
It grew and thrived.
In the end it was corruption that got Mugabe
Forever history will say “Lie and corruption get you as it did that Mugabe!”

Yeah Bob is been protecting all those 100 children who are dying every day from preventable diseases from being "butt raped" too. It is amazing that anyone could be so shallow, thick and slow!

With voters like you, it is little wonder we are in this mess and, which is worse how we can have any hope of ever getting out of the mess! No hope of any reason or logic getting through to some one like you, you are simply brain-dead.

There simple nothing anyone can do to revive your brain. Your wife/husband (if there was a sainthood for living with a moron then they deserve it) are thankful your brain can still control the other bodily functions like getting you to the toilet - even the cast iron guarantees of sainthood who have forced to them to throw you out of the house.

It is bad enough you talk s***t all the time letting your arse doing the talking too is asking for too much!

You are the one wasting time wittering about nonsense.

The way forward is for Zimbabwe to have free and fair elections so we have a regime that has the people's mandate and the common sense to restore the rule of laws. Mugabe does not have the mandate to rule since he rigged the elections and he does not have the common sense - he is the one responsible for the lawlessness in the country!
