Dehwa Mavhinga dismiss MDC-T factional fighting as "mind boggling" when they had "coalesced" with the tyrant, Mugabe, in the GNU!

According to a report in the New Zimbabwe some Church groups, NGOs and civic organisations have refused to take part in Tendai Biti’s grand coalition project. This is contrary to Samuel Sepepa Nkomo’s claim, one of MDC-T MPs on the renewal team, that the coalition “was taking shape”.

“Dehwa Mavhinga slammed the squabbling MDC-T factions which he said were preoccupied with their own political ambitions while failing to look at the “bigger picture”,” reported the New Zimbabwe.

“He said it was “mind boggling that the MDC-T factions who found cause to coalesce with bitter rival Zanu PF in the erstwhile unity government would fail to tolerate each other to a point of going separate ways”.

Dehwa chairs Crisis in Zimbabwe Coalition, hit the nail on the head right there!

In July 2012, a year before Mugabe was to go on and blatantly rig the election and plunge the nation into this debilitating economic and political crisis, Tendai Biti gave an extensive and exclusive interview in the Herald. In the interview Tendai went to the moon and back in praise of Mugabe, calling the tyrant “unflappable” and “father of the nation”.

This corrupt and murderous tyrant who has completely destroyed the nation’s economy force millions into a life of abject poverty and has murdered over 30 000 innocent Zimbabweans to establish and maintain his Zanu PF dictatorship; a father of the nation!

Whatever sacrifice Mugabe and his cohorts made in the fight to end colonial oppression was not because they valued freedom, liberty, justice and the human rights and dignities of all Zimbabwe but for the sole purpose of becoming the next rulers. That was the price they wanted and the ordinary Zimbabweans were to have no say whatsoever in this.

To be double sure the ordinary Zimbabweans would have no say Mugabe and his cohorts set out to deny the people the basic right to a meaningful say in the governance of the country by undermining all the democratic institutions. The tyrant did not hesitate to beat, rape and even murder to drive his tyrannical message home. He even boosted of having “several degrees in violence!”

Mugabe and his cohorts fought side by side with the nation’s true liberation heroes and heroines but what they have done since 1980 show that they were mercenaries who cared little about the cause but only cared about the reward. For they betrayed all the values and principles for so many had died for to collect their reward – power, absolute power!

These last 15 years Tsvangirai has proven to be corrupt and breathtakingly incompetent; that is a matter of historic record. Still if anyone can work with Mugabe and call him “father of the nation” then he or she would find it infinitely easier to get along with Tsvangirai. For one thing Tsvangirai’s hands are not red with shed innocent blood!

Tendai Biti has accused Tsvangirai of being “undemocratic and violent”. We need to get things in perspective here. Even if it was Tsvangirai who authorized the beating of Elton Mangoma; how can that be compared much less consider worse than all the beatings, rapes and murders carried out by the tyrant with “several degrees in violence”?

I agree with Dehwa, the turf between Biti and Tsvangirai is petty and contrived and a reflection of just how incompetent the two individuals and their respective supporting teams of acolytes really are. Anybody who let themselves to be dragged into this fiddler –crab’s fight must be prepared to get muddy and be dismissed as someone with poor judgment and therefore of no consequences.

Sorry, I cannot help you Zimbabwe’s income tax rates and sales tax rates; but you may find the answers on Ministry of Finance website page.

What I can say is that many of the millionaires like Philip Chiyangwa, Chombo, Mpofu, Mujuru, Mugabes, etc. have been paying very little tax if at all! They have made their huge fortunes from taking off the scream without ever putting anything back that is what is called corruption and looting!

Well Mugabe is a tyrant; he has destroyed the nation economically, politically, socially and every other way you can think of and, yes, he will blame everyone else and admit to nothing. Even now with the nation tittering on the edge of the abyss, having frog-marched us there after 34 years of gross mismanagement and rampant corruption under his tyrannical rule, he would rather drive the nation over the edge than admit he has failed and give up power.

After 34 years of absolute power, let us just say Mugabe is super-glued to the State House like a binnacle to a rock!

For the first 15 to 20 years the people were naïve to bend over backwards and refuse to see Mugabe for the corrupt and murderous tyrant he had been all along. They people hoped against reason that he would change. By 1995 and 2000 the tyrant had corrupted every state institution and all cowed downed to him; it was not going to be easy to force him out of office. By electing a village idiot like Tsvangirai to carry out this important task the nation shot itself in the leg!

Mugabe is never going to give up power because it is not in the nature of tyrants to give up power; we will have to force him to give up power!

The country is tittering on the edge of the abyss and all you want is an apology from Mugabe! What good would that apology be to the nation if he goes on to drag the nation over the edge and turn the country into another Egypt, Libya or Syria!?

Never mind the apology; let us get this tyrant out of State House now before he destroys absolutely everything!!

I agree, Tsvangirai and Biti have proven to be breathtakingly incompetent and treacherous to our quest for bring democratic change and good wholesome governance to Zimbabwe. By hanging on to them we are wasting time; time we should be using to define what we should be looking for in good leaders and going out and finding such men and women!

There is only so much a monkey can carry and climb the tree to stay away from danger. By hanging to the sour unripe fruit because that was the first fruit it found it will only have itself to blame for yet another sleepless night of hunger and a rumbling tummy. When by ignoring the sour and unripe fruit and a little bit of effort and diligence it could have found ripe and nourishing fruit!

Tsvangirai and Biti will never bring democratic change in Zimbabwe be-cause they failed to do so when everything was in their favour to do so. The sooner we accept that the sooner the nation can move on!

@ Gugugu

You need to read the story again; Tsvangirai will also find there are no takers for his own united front from the same church and civic groups for exactly the same reason. So how can the reporter be on Chamisa's payroll.

In any case what would Chamisa pay his/her with when MDC is stone broke. In case you did not read Sipepa Nkomo's admission a few weeks ago; the donors were so disappointed with MDC's performance in failing to implement the reforms they stopped funding the party BEFORE the elections.

Both Tsvangirai and Biti fcuk up big time by failing to implement the re-forms. Their fighting amongst themselves is of no real consequence, kutungana kwembuzi as one would say in Shona, the real damage is the failure to implement the reforms!

A public penal discussion between Mwonzora and Mafume was cancelled after Tsvangirai supporter became unruly after Mafume criticised their leader.

“Who was the principal who got $1,5 million (to build a mansion) when everybody else had boycotted government? Who is the principal who got more wives than others,” said an un-fazed Mafume.

Mwonzora called Biti and Mangoma traitors who betrayed Tsvangirai.

Yap, it is now an inconsequential fiddler-crab muddy fight alright.

The more one listens to the two factional leaders and their acolytes the more it becomes clear why the MDC to implement the reforms - none of them know what is important and what is not.

“ENERGY minister Dzikamai Mavhaire is entangled in a US$654 million dodgy deal involving the Zimbabwe Power Company (ZPC), a subsidiary of power utility Zesa Holdings, in which the firm could be forced into huge cash outlays if a proposed controversial solar power project in which losing companies in the tendering process have been brought in via the political backdoor goes through,” reported Nehanda Radio.

For years the Mugabe regime has denied that there was no corruption. Now we know better; corruption, rampant corruption has been going on for the last 34 years. It is the decades of this relentless rot that have destroyed Zimbabwe's once prosperous economy.

Mugabe and Zanu PF blatantly rigged the 2013 elections just as the regime had rigged other elections in the past to ensure its strangle hold on power remained tight so on the economic front the mismanagement and corruption continued. This regime is illegitimate and until we kick them out there is no chance of the national economy ever recovering; none!

The Human Rights Lawyer Ms Beatrice Mtetwa is honoured for her work by a USA University College.

Thank you Ms Mtetwa for giving the nation hope that; in the face of all this chaos of vote rigging by the Mugabe regime, the breath-taking incompetence of the opposition, the economic melt-down, hopelessness and despair; someone can stand up and do good.

There is talk of Simba Makoni become the leader of the grand coalition. He has said that he would accept the role if he is asked.
As a nation Zimbabwe love recycling especially our failed political leaders. We are like rats; they do not build new nest nor does the last brood leave to establish their own nest, they make the nest bigger. Most of our political leaders in leadership position back in 1980 are still leaders to-day 34 years although they have achieved nothing in all those years. The few who have left have been recycled to form the opposition - we keep they precisely because they have achieved nothing!

What did Simba Makoni achieve whilst he was in Zanu PF? Nothing! What new and different can the nation realistically expect from him this time? Again, nothing!

We are a nation that expects very little from its national leaders and, have natural, got exactly what we expected - nothing!

@ Tungamirai Makore

Mugabe has continued to dominate Zimbabwe for the last 34 years because he had control of the nation's resources with which to buy the continued loyalty of those around him. He bought off Joshua Nkomo and his Zapu to consolidate his one-party dictatorship dream, he bribed Tsvangirai and his MDC friends and stopped them implementing even one reform and as for his own Zanu PF friends they have all fed out of him palm like puppies.

What does Tsvangirai have to offer, particularly since he was kicked off the GNU gravy train? Nothing! Since the donors withdraw their funding, he is the one who has been doing the begging from the membership. The well stacked bar in his $4 million mansion is fast running out of all the imported spirits, wines and beers. No doubt he had acquired his own favourite drink; "Martin on rocks, shaken not stirred!" as if he had drunk nothing else all his life!

In a year's time, if he is still in the mansion, all the bottles on display will be empty and in the double-door refrigerator will be a "scud" and a jar of water! All those people who have been queuing to see him at home and at Harvest House will be gone; people like to ask for favours and not to be asked for favours, especially for money by a pretentious scrounger!

Tsvangirai a "political male peacock"! He did strut around like a peacock but only for a brief moment and could still have the stage if only he had remembered his principle reason he was on the world stage was to bring democratic change in Zimbabwe and not strut like a peacock and frolicking with women of ill repute!

If your motive in writing all this articles in praise of Tsvangirai is to become his "George Charamba" someday then put on your saddles because it is going to be a long and tough journey ahead, given this is a journey to nowhere. Rwendo rurefu runoda manyatera, as one would say in Shona!

Tsvangirai had his day in the sun, he messed up big time and now he is finished! And, by the way, so is Tendai Biti and the others.
