Most
of the USA and UK MDC-T supporters have come out in support of the Tsvangirai
faction in the on-going split in the party.
“We
are behind Morgan Tsvangirai and the reason being we understand and also
realize that in any struggle there will be leadership change as we go along but
this should be done without violating provisions of the MDC constitution,” said
Elliot Pfebve, one of the UK leaders.
Supporting
a leader who breath-taking incompetence has costed the nation so much on the
feeble grounds that those asking for his removed should have waited for the
next elective congress shows that these members do not have a clue what is at issue
here.
What
I would like to ask Don Moyo and Elliot Pfebve is how many of their MDC members
in the US and UK respectively knew that MDC had failed to implement the reforms
and had been warned not to take part in the elections without the reform as
admitted by Sipepa Nkomo the other day?
If
any of the MDC members understood the seriousness of the failures to implement
the reforms then they, even now that the cat is out of the bag, do not
understand the seriousness of the consequences of that failure. Mugabe was able
to rig the elections because no reforms had been implemented!!!!!!!!!
Most
of these MDC members in USA and UK constitute the cream of Zimbabwean; the
country's best educated and the best informed and savvy. Now if they did not
know that not even one of the reforms had been implemented; what was their excuse
since this was public knowledge!
If
these MDC supporters did not know about their party's failure to implement the
reforms the certainly KNOW now. If they do not understand the seriousness of
allowing Mugabe to rig the elections then God help us.
The
cream of the MDC supporters and they are just as ignorant as the herd of blundering
wildebeest supporting Tsvangirai outside Harvest House last Sunday. There is no
way any of these supporters would be supporting either Tsvangirai or Biti if
they really understood the seriousness of the MDC blunder of failing to
implement the reforms. They will be demanding that the entire MDC leadership
must be fired.
The
truth is none of these members really understand the seriousness of the matter
here; if they did then they would have demanded leadership renewal themselves a
long time ago. If it is a matter of these UK and USA MDC members are on top of
the situation but are stickler when it comes to following constitutions then we
will see if they are ever going to demand the removal of the breathtakingly
incompetent leaders as soon as the dust has settled down. Do not hold your
breath, I will bet my bottom dollar the cream of the cream of MDC supporters
are no smarter than the rest of the MDC herd of blundering wildebeest!
MDC
leaders and members have known, if they had not picked this for themselves
already, that Tsvangirai was “a flawed and indecisive leader” as far back as
2007 when a leaked USA Ambassador Chris Dell cable. The MDC herd refused to
accept this.
Flawed
and indecisive leaders do not win elections even when they have the numbers in
their favour as Tsvangirai has shown repeatedly already. Well it is one thing
for the herd to stick with their flawed leader; the donors had clearly had
enough of this nonsense.
Sepepa
Nkomo said that those outsiders who have funded MDC over the years stopped the
funding when the MDC leadership refused to listen to the warning not to take
part in the elections with the reforms. When the letters start coming from
Harare to the USA and UK herd asking for money; may be then will the penny finally
drop that MDC’s failure to implement the reforms was indeed serious!
Tsvangirai
will remain in his $4 million mansion and pay the bills from the membership
subscriptions. I do not see him going on another Ship Cruise to the Seychelles
again for a while; not on the back of herd’s membership subscriptions!
