Formation of Mutasa's party will mean demise of Zanu PF - the two cobras are done wrestling they will bite!

Didymus Mutasa says that he together with Mai Mujuru and others are going to form a new political party. He warned that the proposed new party would rock the ruling party since it had the backing of key figures in the security establishment as well as former Zipra and Zanla commanders.

“We want to have a party, but we are still talking about it. We are with Mai Mujuru, Rugare Gumbo and all those who were removed from the party,” he told a privately-owned radio station.
“It is many of us from different oppositional parties such as Simba Makoni, Dumiso Dabengwa and a lot of others who were no longer supporting Zanu PF.”

So it has taken 34 years and being kicked out of Zanu PF for these Mujuru morons to finally open their eyes and see Zanu PF for the corrupt and oppressive party it is. Whilst we welcome that they have finally opened their eyes still these morons should come clean on all their past by giving back what they have looted, confessing their role in the beatings, rapes and murderers and most important of all how Mugabe and Zanu PF have rigged past elections.

Unless they do that the nation will never be fooled into accepting these morons as
anything else other than Zanu PF thugs in new regalia. They have opened their eyes now because they have been kicked off the gravy train. They know that they need to win the people’s confidence again if they are to get back in power and the gravy train; as soon as they are back these eyes will once again be superglued shut!

Zanu PF was always destined to collapse because the party has had no core values or ideology at its centre other than to hold on to political power and all the loot it brought at all cost. Now with the national economy in total meltdown there is very little wealth to loot. Party members are now fighting like hyenas for the little loot left and hence the party imploding.

“Media dreams of a split will come to grief not least because the nefarious pursuits of expelled malcontents in the wilderness cannot be rationally described as a split,” scoffed Zanu PF spin doctor, Professor Moyo.  Of course the Professor was putting a brave face.

Whilst it is true that the breakaway group will never add up to anything much politically because the members are as much to blame for the country's mess as the thugs who still continue to follow Mugabe. Still the fact that this purge has resulted in a VP, 17 cabinet members and several provincial leaders being forced out of office cannot be dismissed as none event. This is a very significant split in Zanu PF and one from which the party will probably never recover.

Worse still for Mugabe, the faction he had cobbled together to ouster Mai Mujuru is already showing signs of disunity as the fight for power continue. Mugabe has not helped matters by announcing that the race to find his successor is still wide open and thus undermining VP Mnangagwa’s position who thought he was the heir apparent after the December 2014 appointments. Professor Jonathan Moyo must know that he is still considered a “weevil” by his fellow faction leaders including Mugabe himself and he must know that it was not Didymus Mutasa who had the pesticide, gamatox!

Ever since 1980 when Mugabe abandoned Zanu PF’s key values of freedom, justice, human rights and dignity to establish this self-serving Zanu PF dictatorship the party was doom to collapse. The purge of Mai Mujuru and all those who supported her last year constitute a significant split of the party and will help accelerate the demise of the party.

Each faction of Zanu PF thinks it will emerge out of the split as the dominant side but this is all wishful thinking because after decades of corruption and tyrannical rule neither faction can ever lay claim to stand for freedom, justice and all the human values the nation has been dying for all these years. As far as the people are concerned all those who have had a role in the creation of the Zanu PF dictatorship is not to be trusted. Zanu PF has been unelectable as far back as 2 000 and denouncing the party now does not change anything.

The purge of Mai Mujuru and others from Zanu PF had left Mugabe and Zanu PF considerably weakened but in forming the new Zanu PF People First party Mai Mujuru and her supporters are for the first time going to fight back. Mugabe will now want to deliver his coup de grace on Mujuru and her supporters but this time they will strike back with their own killer blow. We know that both factions have no qualms about fighting dirty; these are two cobras that are not going to wrestle each other but to bite each other. The outcome is clear – the total demise of the corrupt and tyrannical Zanu PF dictatorship we have known for 35 years!

“Some commentators rubbished the claims while some said by so doing Mujuru and her group were digging their own graves and some said the group would not make any change as it is composed of people who have been doing what the party is doing to the people when they were still enjoying leadership with President Robert Mugabe.”

Both commentators are half right in that the Mujuru group will not make any political splash be-cause they carry with them the baggage of decades of Zanu PF corruption and political repres-sion. Yes the group is digging their own graves in that by forming the party they must know that Mugabe will now go after them but this time the gloves are off the iron fists!

But what both commentators failed to take into consideration is that the Mujuru faction knows Zanu PF’s oppression and vote rigging modus operandi better than anyone else in the whole country. Ms Margaret Dongo successfully challenged the initial 1995 Harare South parliamentary election result because she knew exactly how Zanu PF had rigged the vote. She is not a particularly clever woman; she had inside information because she had been a CIO agent herself. Knowledge is power and Mai Mujuru will have hundreds of thousands insiders who would willingly spill the beans on Mugabe’s dirty trickery.

Mai Mujuru know that by forming a political party Mugabe will now be after them to finish them off politically if not physically too. They will be after Mugabe to finish him off politically too. The two sides are like two cobras each knows the traditional wrestling is over as each is seeking to deliver the killer punch, the fatal bite. It is irrelevant who bites the other first because the second will have the strength to bite back. At the end of the day both Mujuru and Mugabe factions will be died!

Minister Savour Kasukuwere claims $16 000 for air ticket expenses from Harare to Victoria Falls although tickets are $ 300.

They rigged the national elections for the sole purpose that they can continue to loot the nation's wealth!

During the war it was a luta continua (the struggle continues). Since independence it was been o saque continua (the looting continues)!

Zimbabwe’s manufacturing industry is bleeding to death after the sector contracted by a nega-tive 4,9 percent in 2014, latest statistics from the central bank show.
In its quarterly economic report released yesterday, the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ) at-tributed the massive decline in manufacturing output to “persistent challenges affecting the sec-tor, which include antiquated plant and machinery, inflexible labour laws, influx of cheap imports, high cost of production, weak effective demand, as well as persistent liquidity constraints”.
Zanu PF is doing its best to pretend the economic meltdown is not there but all these companies that close down are not going to reopen and they are no new companies to take their place. Unemployment is already a nauseating 90% plus; just how long does this regime think this can go on?

We are sitting on an economic and social time-bomb! Zanu PF must defuse the bomb now before it is too late!

@ Dailynews

“It is our and indeed every Zimbabwean’s hope that Mugabe and Zanu PF will be prepared to knuckle it down with former colleagues without resorting to means that induce palpable fear among the people.
“We have seen that happening with the emergence of the MDC and we shudder to think what the course would be like with the Zanu People First which Mutasa and colleagues say is the original one,” you said.
You are wrong, if Zanu PF thugs turn on each other like hungry hyenas fighting for scraps then there is poetic justice in it because that is exactly to treatment that the thugs have dished out to the rest of us for decades. It is sickening that these Mujuru thugs should only now be talking of “People First” when all they have cared about all these years is absolute power regardless the suffering and deaths it brought to the ordinary people.
Zanu PF has been a curse to the nation and the nation will be better off to see the dictatorship implode and disappear off the face of the earth and not resurrected in another format with the same corrupt and murderous thugs ready to impose their tyrannical will on the nation for another generation.

@ brain

I agree that there is a sense of hopelessness and despair in Zimbabwe politics; the depression moved in quickly soon after the rigged July 2013 elections. The people had been full of hope of far reaching democratic changes; they believed Tsvangirai and his MDC friends that the country was going to have free and fair elections and so they were shocked and disappointed when Mu-gabe and Zanu PF blatantly rigged the elections.

If the truth is told - it must be told - the people had no reason to believe the elections would be free and fair because not even one democratic reform agreed in the GPA were necessary for free and fair elections had been implemented throughout the five years of the GNU. If the people had been awake then they would have realized this fact for themselves. They did not because they had their head stuck in the sand!

The people's disappointment that Mugabe rigged the 2013 elections is no different from that of a lazy farmer who disappointed with the poor harvest! People get the government they deserve; Zimbabweans deserve Zanu PF and MDC and all the suffering and heart break the two have brought.

The late Solomon Mujuru was one of Zimbabwe's richest individuals and he amassed his wealth not from hard work or some talent but corruption and looting. The country hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of street kids in our cities, towns and growth points are the real victims of the criminal wasted of resources from the corruption and looting. It is right that the street kids should have the lion's share of the looted wealth; that is restorative justice!

@ Patrick

In a party like Zanu PF there is no such thing as sharing or compromise it is always all or noth-ing. By forming the party and taking Mugabe head-on the Mutasa faction is saying they refuse to be kicked out of the party with nothing; they are going back knowing they will have to take it all or have nothing. The difference this time unlike last year they are prepared to ensure that if they get nothing then so will the Mugabe faction. "Shaisano!" as one would say in Shona.

Yes the two Zanu PF factions are both going in the ring like cobras to wrestle but because nei-ther will accept defeat they will strike with every intention to kill or for the other to bite right back! They both know this is the last fight whoever loses will never live to fight another day!

"We have all these natural resources but they are yet undeveloped," Mugabe said during a news conference with South African President Jacob Zuma. "Our relations must be strengthened as much as possible."

Mugabe wants the best of everything; he wants cake and still keep it. He wants all new investors to pay the usual cooperate tax and over and above that give up 51% of the stake of their invest-ment to a Zanu PF crony who will be nothing more than a blood sucking parasite. He wants it all! Thank God investors are not some dumb animals, they know when they are being short changed and have shied away from Zimbabwe.

No cow will knowingly graze in a field infested with ticks especially with ticks as big as monkeys as is the case in for would-be investors in Zimbabwe!

Mugabe can appeal all he wants for SA investors, they are not going to come until there is re-gime change and return to rule of law in Zimbabwe.

Corruption and looting are by nature every wasteful because the motivation and ability to use the resource productively of the original owner is rarely ever much by the new owner who seize the resource without having earned it. The worst example of the wastefulness is what happened to the white owned farms Mugabe seized and gave to his cronies. Most of these farms are only producing a third of what they produced before by Mugabe’s own admission. This is in spite of the billions of dollars the nation has poured in direct and indirect subsidies to help these new farmers.
Many of farms that appear to be productive, like Gushungo Diary, it may be because they continue to receive the extra generous subsidies.
The story of Mujuru owned Bindura and then bringing it to ruin is the story of Zimbabwe itself; Mugabe owns Zimbabwe and in 35 years has ruined the country.

@ Holy Moyo

We are stuck with Mugabe and Zanu PF because MDC failed to implement even one democratic reform. The GNU is dead but the need to implement the reforms still remains and thus finding the right people to carrying out this task is vital.
Tsvangirai and his MDC friends failed to get even one reform implemented because they are corrupt and incompetent but will never admit it. They would like the nation to once again elect them to implement the reforms. I want to see the back of the corrupt and murderous tyrant Mugabe as is the rest of the nation. I know that the only way this can be done is be implementing the reforms (I do not believe you appreciate that).
I also know that Tsvangirai and his MDC village idiots will never implement the reforms, they failed to do so during the GNU when they had all the trump cards it is nonsense they can do so now (this you have completely failed to comprehend). It was foolish of the voters to have elected MDC before but is would folly to do so again now that they have proven beyond all doubt that they are village idiots (of course a village idiot like you would not agree).

@ Mbiti
What a pity, so you think because I have said MDC are corrupt and incompetent I must necessarily support Zanu PF. Let me say it again Mugabe is a corrupt, incompetent and murderous tyrant and Zanu PF is a party of corrupt and murderous thugs.

I am saying these things because they are true historic facts. You obvious agree with me about Mugabe and Zanu PF but you do not agree with me about Tsvangirai and MDC.

You have shut you mind to seeing Tsvangirai for what he is because in you pea size brain you can only see two things one bad one good. You have accept Mugabe as bad and therefore you have to accept Tsvangirai as good regardless what the evidence before you say.

You see monochrome whereas I see all the colours of the rainbow! What a pity that you have a normal size brain but only the bit the size of a pea is working!

PRESIDENT Robert Mugabe Wednesday suggested that his globetrotting had a good side to it, telling South African deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa that everywhere he has been to in the last few weeks it had rained.

Well if that was true then it would explain why it has not rained in Zimbabwe and the nation is facing starvation - the tyrant has not been in Zimbabwe!

Of course Mugabe has nothing to do with the rains, he is in SA begging and this is just a cheap claim to make his host feel indebted to the tyrant and open their purse! Sadly, the SA are not that soft headed!

Mugabe says his wife does not have any ambitions to be president. She said she had those am-bitions herself last years.

Well maybe the reality has dawned on her that she is a just an empty drum that makes a lot of noise and that is hardly a recommendation for one to be president!
