Mugabe is better off with Moyo inside the tent pissing out than outside pissing (or worse) in!

“Moyo's victory was seen as spiting President Mugabe who had appointed him a non-constituency Member of Parliament before he proceeded to appoint him a minister in his bloated government,” commented Bulawayo Staff Reporter. I can well believe that!

Professor Moyo is already a heavy weight in Zanu PF and government but when he lost his parliamentary seat in the July 2013 elections and had to depend on Mugabe's generosity to pluck him out of political obscurity it made Mugabe feel powerful. Mugabe is a control freak nothing pleases him more than to see all his subordinates grovel up to him.

Winning back the Tsholotsho parliamentary seat after the humiliating defeat in 2013 would have pleased Moyo greatly and boosted his self-confidence and added a peacock tail feather to his cap. Mugabe would have seen this as the Professor trying to re-asset himself. He waiting for Moyo to take his seat in the cabinet meeting and then showing him the door in a calculated move designed to humiliate Moyo and remind him who is boss. Poor Jonathan Moyo, he clearly did not see this one coming and it knocked the wind out of his sail.

He has been the flying Zanu PF party and government supremo ruling his powerful ministry of information and dictating to all what they will know and think but often doubling up as government spokesman and supervising all other government departments. His by-election victory was going to allow him to comment freely on parliamentary business without fear of the snotty rhetorical question “Who elected you?”

Yes, Professor Moyo must have entered the cabinet room expecting be showered with congratulatory greetings for his electoral victory. He certainly did not expect to be told to fcuk off, he was no longer welcome there!

No wonder Moyo has been uncharacteristically quiet for a long time - four days am counting – with nothing written or initiated by Moyo, not even tweetered comment from him – nothing that is, other than speculation on what happened in the Cabinet room on Tuesday. Falling from such a dizzying height and landing on his bald head must have left our high flier dazed and for once, speechless.

After Mugabe called Moyo the “devil incarnate and a weevil destroying Zanu PF from within” everyone thought the Professor’s beacon was fried! Didymus Mutasa was so pleased to see Moyo in trouble he even offered to supply the gamatox, the insecticide, to kill the weevils.

Whatever the Professor said to or did to Mugabe at their private meeting after the public denunciation worked like a charm. It was Didymus Mutasa and others who were summarily sacked from cabinet, the party and then parliament. Moyo must have thought his charmed worked and his position in cabinet was safe and secure.

The moral of Moyo’s story is that Zanu PF is imploding and no one’s position is safe not even Mugabe’s own position is safe. Mutasa has already started to spill the beans of how Zanu PF has been rigging elections and, no doubt, the drip, drip leak of the party’s dirty past will now continue until Mugabe and all still left in the party are forced to resign. Moyo will definitely have even more damaging details on Mugabe which if released will force the tyrant to resign immediately.

Throwing Professor Moyo out of the cabinet is one thing but if Mugabe throws him out of the party and parliament like he did with Mutasa and others then Mugabe’s days in State House will be numbered.

“It is probably better to have him (FBI director, Edgar Hoover) inside the tent pissing out, then outside the tent pissing in,” said former US President Lyndon B Johnson. Mugabe’s position is a lot worse in that those inside the tent want to throw him out and those outside are more than pissing they are shooting in!

Your whole argument is based on the premise that one exercising authority respect the law and hence legitimacy. Mugabe does not care about the law, he has nothing but contempt of the suffering of others, justice, law and order and even human life itself!

As far as Mugabe is concerned the end justifies the means; the end is he is after is absolute power and no regime change and he has rigged elections, rod roughshod over the people's rights and dreams and murdered over 30 000 to get what he wanted. You can argue about whether or not he has legitimacy until the cows come home he does not care as long as he continues to enjoy absolute power!

“This 'amorphous', almost legendary demographic group (ordinary people) attracts both attention and pity in equal measure. Our government has committed many a 'quasi-fiscal transgression' in the name of 'ordinary Zimbabweans',” confessed Ncube.

“I want to deal with this subject for good reason. As a president of a political party, I am often-times confronted with (justifiable) criticism that we leaders are detached from the expectations of 'ordinary Zimbabweans'. We are said to talk above them in pursuit of self-preservation.”

You did a lot worse than “talk above them in pursuit of self-preservation”, you betrayed the whole nation by taking Mugabe’s bribes in return you kicked all democratic reforms into the tall grass. The nation would not be in this mess, stuck with a ruthless tyrannical regime if you had implemented the reforms. You sold-out, you twat and now you are writing article after article rumbling about “ordinary people” to worm your way back into power again!

You have proven beyond all doubt that you are corrupt, incompetent and a sell-out. Corrupt, incompetent and sell-outs do not get a second chance to lead the nation; one strike and you are out. You and your follow MDC leaders are out!

Last week Didymus Mutasa confirmed sometime we already knew when he said Zanu PF has been rigging elections.

Zanu PF's slogan "Zanu PF, the people's choice!" becomes just a hollow and nonsensical phrase as insulting to those affected and offensive to those who hear it as calling the repressive North Korea a "democratic republic". How can Zanu PF be a people's choice when the regime has been ruthlessly denying the people a meaningful vote in pursuance of its no regime change mantra!

There is going to be a judiciary investigation of what really happened in the 2013 elections and the findings will establish once and once for all whether Zanu PF was really the people’s choice or that was just cheat propaganda. If the investigation confirms that elections were rigged; that is a very serious crime, it is high treason and those involved will be severely punished!

Are we men or are we mice, you asked? I will answer you, we are men but unlike other men the world over we are men of very little intellect.

Zimbabwe is one of the richest country on earth whilst the white ruled it we grew enough food for our own requirement with plenty left for export. Now the country is ruled by blacks and the nations has depended on food aid for decades, This year millions of our people are facing starvation and we hope donors will not only source the food but will also distribute it. We do not trust the Zanu PF regime to even distribute aid because of corruption and incompetence!

Zimbabwe has the material resources and great potential what has been noticeably lacking is the human intellect to harness the resources for the good of the people! We are a people of very little human intellect; sad but true!

I think you are right, Mugabe is now totally focused on hove to manage the implosion in Zanu PF. The economic meltdown has made the in fighting in the party necessary, he is really concerned about that or the fact that his decades of misrule are the root cause; his only concern is that in the middle of all this upheaval.

Here is a tyrant who has already dragged the whole nation down the sewage drain to gratify his insatiable appetite for political power and wealth. Now he he has turn on his own fellow party members and is giving them hell for the same selfish reasons.

Zanu PF is imploding but what we must fight for is Zimbabwe; we must not let Mugabe drag the whole nation into the abyss he is dragging Zanu PF into.

Frankly I think Zanu PF chefs and members deserve to suffer, this economic mess is one of their own making. In a way, the povo too deserve to suffer because for the last 35 years we have watched Mugabe and Zanu PF destroy the economy, our hopes and dreams and never lifted a finger to stop the rot.

In the end people always get the government they deserve, we really deserve this corrupt, in-competent and tyrannical Zanu PF dictatorship. Now we are paying dearly for all the decades of mental inactivity whilst we had our heads buried in our leaders' backsides!

GLOBAL giant Rio Tinto Plc on Friday announced the sale of its diamond and coal mining assets in Zimbabwe to RZ Murowa Holdings, marking the withdrawal of one the world’s iconic mining firms from the country after a 60 year presence

When Zanu PF says nationalize they mean "zanunalize" because the company will be run by political appointees for the benefit of party loyalists at taxpayers' expense!

You said it the West have the blood of "the people of Iraq and Libya"? Saddam Hussien and Gaddafi did not have the blood of the British or Americans, but of Iraqis and Libyans. Now I ask you again if you were an Iraqi or Libyan would you object to see these two tyrants before the only court that will deliver justice knowing that none of the national courts will?

We in Africa cannot afford to discard ICC because there are no national, regional or continental courts that will try any of our many tyrants!
