Mugabe can insult Zanu PF members all he pleases but must not insult the people too!

Of course Mugabe can witter all he pleases to his naïve and gullible Znu PF Central Committee members telling the party is united when it is imploding. He can threaten and even punish some on his party members; he has always ruled that party with an iron fist, he tell his party members jump and they have always jumped.

He unconstitutionally changed the party’s constitution in 2004 to stop Mnangagwa being elected VP. He contemptuously disregarded the new clause he had added in 2004 last year and again unconstitutionally changed other sections of the party’s constitution to suit his selfish ambitions of remaining top dog.

What Mugabe should not do is insult the nation by talking about us as if he has ever cared about us.

“We are there to work for the people and the people will recognise us,” he said. What is he wittering about!

Millions of Zimbabweans are out of work with unemployment seating at a nauseating 90% plus and thousands of the few still lucky to be employed are set to lose their jobs in the coming months. He promised the nation 2.2 new jobs in the five years 2013 to 2018 and yet two years into those five years he has failed to create even one new job, instead the nation has lost more and more jobs!

Zimbabweans now that there is a hive of activity in Marange and Chiadzwa diamond fields and yet the nation is not getting even a single dollar in revenue from this $800 billion bounty! Mugabe received a cool $2 billion from the plunder and looting in Marange in 2012 alone according to Africa Partnership Canada.

Zanu PF rigged the 2013 elections; some of the disgruntled former Zanu PF members like Didymus Mutasa has started to spill the beans, talking of how Minister Patrick Chinamasa bussed in voters. Mugabe rigged the national elections just as he rigged Zanu PF’s own party elections and therefore it is nonsensical for him to talk of the people “recognising us”.

Mr Mugabe it is intolerable that millions of Zimbabweans today are languishing in abject poverty denied of all hope and human dignity because of your 35 years corrupt and tyrannical rule. Please, I beg of you, do not insult us too by telling us we are rich and happy when we know we are poor and miserable and you are robbing us blind!

Yes it is ironic that the men and women who have connived to deny the people their freedoms and human dignity are not just "pontificating endlessly about the gallantry of freedom fighters" but are drumming their chests like silver back gorillas because they consider themselves the most gallant of the "gallant sons and daughter"!

Yes tomorrow Mugabe will preach yet another one of his usual sermon of the Mount but it will be just another hollow speech completely at odds with the harsh reality on the ground. He can claim to be a national hero but the reality knows he is just a corrupt, incompetent and brutal tyrant whose hands are red with the blood of the over 30 000 innocent Zimbabweans he has killed in his 35 years in power. The people will never confuse a murderer for a hero. Never!

The real gallant sons and daughters today are those who have stood up to denounce these corrupt, incompetent and oppressive charlatans and demanded freedom, justice and human rights for all Zimbabweans!

So Tsvangirai remembers the "gallant sons and daughters" of the liberation struggle but has failed to notice that the freedom, justice, liberty, human rights and even the sanctity of life itself; the very things they risked their lives and many died for; have not been realized. Those gallant sons and daughters would rather see someone taking up the fight for freedom and justice until these are finally achieved then listen to all hypocritical nonsense from those who have connived to deny the people their freedom, justice and self-respect!

Tsvangirai had the golden opportunity to implement the democratic reforms and thus end the Zanu PF dictatorship. He and his MDC friends were risking nothing, nothing compared with those who fought in the war of independence. They did not implement even one reform because Mugabe bribed them.

How sickening that a sell-out like Tsvangirai should be pontificating about the gallantry of freedom fighters when he betrayed them and all they stood and many died for. Indeed this corrupt and incompetent village idiot is even masquerading as the modern day gallant son of our struggle for freedom and liberty!

@ Baba Jukwa Junior

The useless village idiot is seeking to increase his own flagging political profile by praising those who really believed in freedom and liberty for all our people. Tsvangirai is no different from Mugabe in this case who too is hoping the nation will forget he is a corrupt and murderous tyrant by praising the same freedom fighters for their selfless sacrifice in the struggle.

Mugabe high jacked the struggle in 1980 for his own selfish political gain just as Tsvangirai betrayed the nation by failing to implement the reforms during the GNU!

Mugabe and Tsvangirai are nothing but the evil uncle who murders one’s father for his wealth and take your mother for his wife but seeks to hide his crime by playing the role of the grieving and caring relative.

@ Shasha

So what happened when Mugabe cheated Tsvangirai and rigged the elections in 2013? When he should have spent the five years of the GNU implementing the reforms Tsvangirai, like the Biblical Samson allowed Delilah cut his hair – in this case allowed his many Delilahs play with balls of steel so throughout the GNU they were all mash!

The truth is we are in serious trouble alright and what makes this a tragedy is we have watched this happen and for 35 years have done nothing to stop the madness. After 35 years we cannot say we did not have time and the chances to stop the country becoming the failed State it is today.

In the long run people always get the government they deserve and we certain deserve this corrupt and tyrannical Mugabe dictatorship complete with its moon MDC opposition!

Until people get off their backsides and do something about getting competent leaders this country will never get out of the political and economic mess it is in right now. Indeed, the situation is set to get even worse!
