Biti Labels ZANU PF 'Murderers and Fascists'
HARARE – Former Finance Minister Tendai Biti has launched a scathing attack on the ruling ZANU PF, describing the party as “murderers and fascists” in a post on his X account.
Biti referenced the 2018 Motlanthe Commission of Inquiry into the 1 August 2018 shootings of civilians, claiming witnesses pointed to ZANU PF’s culpability. He further alleged that the party was responsible for the death of Herbert Chitepo, the former ZANU chairman, in 1975.
“ZANU are murderers and fascists. At the Motlanthe Commission of Inquiry into the 1 August 2018 shooting of civilians, I testified that Chairman Chitepo was killed by ZANU and not Rhodesians. Vernon Mwanga, Zambia’s foreign minister at the time, confirmed this to me in conversations at Tswalu in the Northern Cape,” Biti said.
He claimed Chitepo was accused of collusion with Thomas Nhari and Dakarai Badze, leaders of the Nhari rebellion of November 1974, and that the Zambian Government arrested Josiah Tongogara and other ZANU leaders over Chitepo’s death.”
No one with hand on his/her heart can deny that ZANU PF is a party of 'murderers and fascists’. Indeed, Zanu PF leaders themselves have often boasted that “Zanu PF ndeye rope!” (Zanu PF is a party of blood!).
The people of Zimbabwe and history will never ever forgive Tendai Biti and his MDC/CCC fiends for their treasonous betrayal of the nation by failing to end the Zanu PF dictatorship these last 25 years including the 5 GNU years when they had the best chance ever to implement the democratic changes to end the Zanu PF dictatorship.
Robert Mugabe bribed Biti and company during the GNU with the trappings of high office; the E-Class Mercedes Benz limo for all the deputy ministers, ministers, the two deputy PMs and PM Tsvangirai, generosity salaries, allowances and cars for all the other MDC leaders, a US$4m mansion for Save himself, etc., etc. In return the MDC leaders forgot about implementing the required democratic changes to dismantle the Zanu PF dictatorship. Not ever one token reforms was implemented. Not one!
Worse still, ever since the GNBU debacle MDC/CCC leaders have participated in the flawed elections knowing fully well that Zanu PF was rigging elections and participating would only give the regime legitimacy. The soldiered on regardless out of greed. They knew Zanu PF was giving away a few gravy train seats to entice the opposition to participate no matter what. Biti and his MDC/CCC fiends know all these things!
“The worst aspect for me about the failure to agree a coalition was that both MDCs couldn’t now do the obvious - withdraw from the (2023) elections. The electoral process was so flawed, so illegal, that the only logical step was to withdraw, which would compel SADC to hold Zanu PF to account. But such was the distrust between the MDC-T and MDC-N that neither could withdraw for fear that the other would remain in the elections, winning seats and giving the process credibility,” confessed David Coltart in his Book, The Struggle Continues 50 years of Tyranny in Zimbabwe.
And so the denouncing of Zanu PF as a party of murderers and fascists is all part and parcel of the MDC/CCC leaders’ double act on publicly denouncing the Zanu PF regime to ingratiate themselves to the masses by making them believe MDC/CCC are still committed to ending the Zanu PF dictatorship. The people have failed to read the writing on the wall; that MDC/CCC leaders have failed to implement any reforms in 25 years because they are Zanu PF team B in all but name.
The double act is to con the people to participate in the flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy to get the few gravy train seats reward.
Why the people have failed to realise that Biti & co. are running with the povo hare and hunting with the Zanu PF hounds beggars belief.
Chamisa lied about plugging all vote rigging loop holes to con millions to participate in 2023 elections. They accept that Zanu PF blatantly rigged the 2023 elections - the very thing he said would not happen. And yet they refuse to accept that Chamisa is a liar and conman!
The possibility that Biti, Chamisa and the other MDC/CCC leaders will con millions of Zimbabweans to participate in flawed 2028 elections to give the Zanu PF dictatorship legitimacy, cannot be ruled out. They have conned these people many times in the past, they can do so again.

Confirming what the brain dead individuals have denied for the last 12 months: that when push comes to shove, Zanu PF thugs will unite to make sure the Zanu PF dictatorship survive. Tendai Biti labels Zanu PF "murderers and fascists". This is just a deceitful electioneering grandstanding gimmick to attract the political spotlight. The people of Zimbabwe should know (admitted millions do not) that MDC/CCC leaders are Zanu PF team B in all but name.
They are the ones who have helped Zanu PF remain in power for 25 years by failing to implement even one token reform even when they had the golden opportunity to do so during the GNU.
In 2013 elections Tendai Biti had eye witness knowledge of how Zanu PF blatantly rigged those elections but did not follow this up only because he was one of the few MDC leaders who won the gravy train seats on offer as bait. Zanu PF has always known that as long as a few MDC/CCC leaders win seats they will ignore the rigging and give the regime legitimacy.
Biti is gearing to participate in 2028 elections no matter how flawed and illegal the election process get. The grandstanding is all part of the act to con Zimbabweans to participate in flawed elections!

When some one says that education has all but collapsed in Zimbabwe - this is what that means. December is the end of an academic year in Zimbabwe. Ask yourself what these children have learned? There will be back in the same ill-equipped school next year and in the next grade to build on what they learned this year. And since they learned nothing they will be building on nothing - a house with no foundation will never stand.
Remember Zimbabwe's education system did not collapse this year, the rot set in soon after independence and accelerated in the period 2000 to 2008 when the economy shrunk by a record 50% fuelled by the collapse of the agricultural sect and hyperinflation that peak at 500 billion per cent.
What makes Zimbabwe's economic meltdown and grinding poverty even more distasteful is that this is all a man-made problem. Zanu PF thugs are the ones keeping millions of people in abject poverty for selfish political reasons. Give the rural people title deeds to even a few acres of land and they will build decent houses for themselves and better schools for the children.
No Zimbabwe can ever be truly free whilst millions of fellow Zimbabweans are forced to live in the gutter. Those with their boot on the poor's neck are themselves in the gutter too or be it to keep the poor down!

If “educated” means can read and write, then yes Mugabe was educated. But when one looks at his track record it is clear that he was not knowledgeable, objective and diligent and hence incapable of thinking and comprehending facts, reality and all those thinks that distinguishes a tribesman and a citizen. Mugabe’s whole life was about dominate or be dominated, once elected into high office all he ever thought about was how to consolidate his power.
Mugabe was an idiot with 7 university degrees. The years of formal education had no effect on him. You can take some people out of the ghetto but you cannot take the ghetto mentality out of them.
Look at yourself, Munyaradzi. You can read and write as well as anyone else here and yet you still believe Chamisa is a demigod and hence the reason why you defend him and will not accept he is a liar.

Zanu PF has become obsessed with promoting the image of a prosperous Zimbabwe, so obsessed, the gap between the narrative and reality has become a yawning chasm. A Zimbabwe banking official has revealed that it Zimbabwe's GPD is US$53.31b, as the regime would have us believe, then deposits and loans should be US$20.199 and 8,714b respectively and not US$3.731b and US$2.429b.
Zimbabwe's GPD per capita in 2017, when Mnangagwa took over from Mugabe, was US$2k. Eight years later, it has hardly moved. And yet Mnangagwa & co. continue to push the narrative that the country is on course to increase the per capita GDP to US$6k by 2030, vision 2030.Where is that growth coming from?

I have never said so and so should be president because I know that is the trivial point, “muto panyama yehuku”, as my loot mother would say. The real meat here is that we must have a political system that allows meaningful public debate and democratic competition and let an educated, knowledgeable, objective and diligent electorate decide who should be state president. It is presumptuous for anyone to say who will win especially when the democratic system has yet to be created and take effect. It is equally presumptuous to say any of the leaders are competent given the present political system is only capable of producing scum!
The solution I am offering and have always offered is that we must replace the dictatorship with a democratic system based on free, fair and credible elections. The solution of replacing one dictator with another is bankrupt because it perpetuates the dictatorship.

Car are being given out like confetti at a wedding. How having a new car worth US$100 000 is going to aid development especially to some one with no other assets worth 1% of the car value will help. This is typical of a regime fishing for votes and cheap popularity.
Mnangagwa is selling the nation’s treasure for a song and using the ill gotten loot on buying votes! The culture of political patronage has gone into overdrive! We really are in serious trouble because all the nation’s state institutions including opposition political leaders are now in his deep pockets. Meaningful political change in a system rotten to the core is near impossible!

Zimbabwe is a failed state and the root cause is 45 years of rigged elections. Mnangagwa would not have rigged the 2023 elections and got away with it if:
1) MDC/CCC leaders had implemented the reforms - they failed to implement even one reform in 25 years including the 5 GNU years.
2) MDC/CCC had not lied about plugging vote rigging loop holes con millions to participate in flawed elections knowing fully well that doing so will give Zanu PF legitimacy. Chamisa is a liar and a conman and millions refuse to accept.
3) Most important of all Zimbabwe will saying 48 years of rigged elections in 2028 if the message that Chamisa is a liar and conman is not hammered into the empty heads of the millions of ignorant and gullible Zimbabweans who are very easily conned because they are simpleton.
