MUGABE TO REINTRODUCE Z$ IN VAIN ATTEMPT TO AVOID REGIME CHANGE!

Finance Minister Patrick Chinamasa is proposing introducing a special Zimbabwe coin to compete with the basketful of other foreign currency in use in the country already. The regime is so desperate to avoid regime change it is even reintroducing tried and failed policies! This is reintroducing the Z$ by stealth and we will be back to the days of 500 billion per cent hyper-inflation in no time!

This is reintroducing the Z$ by stealth and it will not be long before we are back to the 500 billion per cent hyperinflation. Printing money to fill the ever growing chasm left by ballooning public expenditure in the face of fast shrinking revenue is a foolish policy that had disastrous consequences before and will have equally disastrous consequences now.

Mugabe is running out of options of what to do to end the economic meltdown gripping the nation. The only real way out of this mess is for him to step down and allow free elections – in short regime change. He cannot fathom regime change and hence the reintroduction of a tried and failed policy of printing money.

One meets their destiny by path they took to avoid it. Companies are closing down and 2 millions of our people are already living in abject poverty because of the serious economic problems such as corruption and the lack of direct foreign investment. Hyperinflation will of see goods disappear from the shops as happened before making life even harder for everyone.

Whilst the system of political patronage in which Mugabe rewarded those willing to ride roughshod  of the people’s freedoms and basic human rights including the right to a free vote and the right to life has delivered his primary objective of keeping him and Zanu PF in power for all these years. He must now admit the system has a down side; it is the root cause of mismanagement and corruption. The years of vehemently denying this have only helped these problems to multiple and spread. After 34 years the chickens have come home to roost in their red-billed quelea multitude!

The criminal wastefulness of human and material resources due to the decades of gross mismanagement and rampant corruption are economically unsustainable. The economic meltdown gripping the nation today is a manifestation of this economic reality.

The only way to end the economic meltdown is by ending the mismanagement and corruption which in turn can only be ended by ending the political patronage system. There is no more effective way of ending political patronage than holding free, fair and credible elections.

Of course Mugabe and Zanu PF cannot be certain of winning free and fair elections which is why Mugabe had adopted the political patronage system in the first place. Indeed in the present setting Zanu PF is certain to lose in a free and fair election.

Ultimately Mugabe and Zanu PF will be forced to accept the political reality that avoiding regime change is politically unsustainable or be it by the circuitous route of being force to accept the economic reality that rampant corruption is economically unsustainable.

Mugabe is reintroducing the Z$ in a desperate attempt to avoid regime change not knowing this certain to fast forward the day of regime change.

The only way out of this economic and political hell Mugabe and Zanu PF have landed us is through the door marked “REGIME CHANGE”! There is no other way out!

300 000 children or 80% are out of school because their parents can hardly feed them much less pay their school fees. 62% of Zimbabweans are poor and 16% or 2 million are living in abject poverty. So who is building these homes?

Mugabe himself was admitting at the UN on Thursday that Zimbabwe will not meet its poverty reduction millennium goals. If there is an exponential rise in home ownership in Zimbabwe, then then nation will meet its goals and Mugabe was lying.

Whichfool, you come up with some really stupid arguments that defy logic and reality; only a first class moron would come up with!

The Zimbabwe cow is now being milked every hour on the hour 24/7 but as any one with any common sense would tell you the milk output has not increased from when it was milked twice a day! The Zimba-bwe economy is in total meltdown because of the corruption and lack of investment taxing the little eco-nomic activity still taking place is not going to solve anything!

Chinamasa knows that hence the reason he is talking of reintroducing the Z$, not that it will solve anything either.

The problem here is that Zanu PF does not have the political will to address the corruption because politi-cal patronage at the heart of the corruption is what has kept Mugabe and Zanu PF in power. If political patronage was to be banished then Zanu PF will lose its monopoly of the institutions that have guaranteed it hold on power. Regime change will follow guaranteed as day follows night and that is the one thing Mugabe and Zanu PF have resisted all these years.

The economic meltdown gripping the nation will only get worse as long as Mugabe and Zanu PF remain in office. Already 300 000 children or 80% are out of school because their parents can hardly put one decent meal a day on the table let alone pay the school fees. According to a UNICEF report 62% of Zimbabweans are poor and 16% or 2 million are living in abject poverty. Clearly Mugabe and Zanu PF are not moved by these shocking figures, they expect them to get worse and they are getting worse.

The people of Zimbabwe have a simple choice to allow Mugabe and Zanu PF to keep their no regime change mantra and suffer the consequences of the economic meltdown or demand an end to this madness and their right to a meaningful free vote. Of course a meaningful free vote can result in regime change; that is the very essence of the vote, take that away and it becomes a meaningless ritual. It is a matter of time before the people of Zimbabwe wake up to this reality; the worsening economic hardship will help focus their minds!

As long as Mugabe and Zanu PF remains in power then Zimbabwe’s economic meltdown will continue, guaranteed. Mugabe can try to ignore this but the facts on the ground will say it all!
MORE than 600 workers have officially been retrenched since the beginning of August as the country’s rate of unemployment continues to grow at an alarming rate, sources within the Retrenchment Board have revealed.
The board has approved the retrenchment of 623 workers since August to date with at least 15 companies having applied to close shop during the same period, but these have been put on hold for various reasons, insiders said.
This adds to the official 4,668 who have been rendered jobless through lay-offs between January and July this year.
Zimbabwe is having its on Pamplona running of the bulls San Fermin festival except that it is not bulls that are running but jobs! Mugabe knows he has failed and that the only way out of this mess is for his regime to step down and allow free, fair and credible elections. He is refusing to do that because he cannot abide the thought of regime change.

The economic meltdown is like a python with its coils wrapped round every passing day has brought more bad economic news to the nation a clear sign the snake is squeezing. As more and more companies close the few remaining are being deprived of their suppliers and customers, their oxygen, and so they too will close!

One thing is certain, there will be regime change; because the economic meltdown will only get worsen until there is regime change!

Well the likes of the late Nathan Shamuyarira didnot see any of the riches in his last decade on this world. He went to Bona Mugabe's $5 million wedding in $ 5 billion palatial Blue Roof wearing his old moth eaten suit . The man died a pauper.

If poverty had a Zanu PF grandee like Shamuyarira grovelling you can be sure many of the party nobodies are amongst the 62% poor and 16% living in abject poverty. They are just too stupid to see what is going on, yes, but the worsening economic situation will open their eyes.

What has broken my heart is seeing 300 000 children out of school and that 2 million Zimbabweans are living in abject poverty already.

I know that Zimbabwe would not be in this mess ruled by a corrupt and murderous tyrant if only those MDC village idiots had implemented the reforms.

What fills my heart with hope is the fact that the tyrannical regime of Mugabe is on its last legs. After years of denying there was no corruption and allowing this cancer to grow and spread Mu-gabe is now being forced to accept that he has failed. The economic meltdown is real and it is going to get worse until Mugabe step down.

All his life Mugabe has cheated, rigged elections and even commit mass murder to avoid regime change it is heartening that it was the monster corruption he nurtured that is his undoing!

Zimbabwe is a tragic story of corruption, vote rigging, murder and betrayal but with a happy ending; the tyrant and his murderous thugs will lose their looted wealth and face justice for the blood on their hands. I am here to see to it that happens!

“The entire extractive industry must be built on the principle of people before profit. The biggest challenge that resource rich countries face, is how to ensure that the resource are extracted in a sustainable manner and its proceeds distributed in an equitable manner. The country can consider bringing in external skills (negotiators) to be able to counter the vast expertise and knowledge that EI companies bring to bear,” says Kabemba. Could not agree with Kabemba more.

What made the Zimbabwe situation even worse is that both China and Russia knew Mugabe was desperate to sign these deals just to be seen to be doing something about the country’s economic meltdown. They knew the Zimbabwe tyrant was keener on appearance than reality and the here and now than the long term. They knew Mugabe would sign the deal even if it was the most raw deal anyone could ever imagine, just for the sake of being able to boost that he “has best friends”!

History will show that Zimbabwe was short changed here when some of the facts come to be known, of that there is no doubt!

"Because Zimbabwe has thus been pre-occupied with the empowerment of its peo-ple economically, she has become a victim of the evil machinations of Western countries, namely the United States of America and the European Union, who continue to apply unilateral and illegal sanctions as a foreign policy tool to achieve short-term political objectives, particularly regime change," Mugabe said.

In a reference to Washington and Brussels hoping for a change of government in Harare he said: "Regime change is a diabolical, illegal policy of interference in the domestic affairs of my country and no good can come from undermining our econo-my, or depriving our citizens of the necessities of life."

Tyrants are renowned for creating their own delusionary world where they can do no wrong and for turning all their critics into the devil incarnates! Mugabe has mixed his delusions mixed with a large dose of hysteria and paranoia to produce mashed nonsense.

62% of the people are poor and 16% are living in abject poverty according to a re-cent UNICEF report. So who exactly has Mugabe empowered economically? Not even some of his own Zanu PF grandees like the late Nathan Shamuyarira were empowered; he died a pauper, his wife could not even afford the bus fare to visit him on his death bed.

Mugabe maintains that the IMF has denied Zimbabwe further loans because of the “evil sanctions” imposed on the country by the West and yet the IMF maintains that it cannot grant the country more loans because it is not servicing its old debt. The Chinese too have complained of the same thing and told Mugabe to his face three weeks ago that he is a “bad debtor”.

So Mugabe has created his own delusionary world where he can borrow as much as he pleases without ever paying back.

What is diabolical Mr Mugabe is your delusion that you can blatantly rig elections to ensure there is no regime change and still expect the donors and investors alike to trust you to uphold rule of law and their property rights, protect their investments from being seized by you and your supporters.

Zimbabwe’s economic meltdown is a result the country’s rampant corruption (which the regime has swept under the carpet for decades and is inept to deal with) and the lack of foreign investment. If Mugabe thinks the economic meltdown will go away, he is deluding himself. The sooner this corrupt and deluded tyrant goes the sooner Zimbabweans can start the difficult task of rebuilding their lives; lives he ruined!

It was not just Tsvangirai alone who betrayed the nation but the entire MDC leader-ship. The fact that the electorate was itself too slow (some would say too stupid since many have still not realised what happened even with the benefit of hindsight) realise what was happening and thus failed to stop it; is deeply regrettable. As for the MDC leaders, they knew what they were doing; as soon as they were on the gravy train, they did not care about democracy and the suffering masses!

Anyone who thinks that Tsvangirai, Tendai Biti , Welshman Ncube and all the other MDC leaders care about democracy is naïve; all they are fighting for now is to get back on the gravy train. If we are ever to get out of this political and economic mess then we need an electorate that is smart enough to understand the big issues and not one that can be so easily hoodwinked by village idiots.

@ Motormouth

For years all the nation has heard is Mugabe's narrative which time has now proven that it was all lies because it does not add up. The nation is now going to hear the true; we are poor not because of the sanctions but because of mismanagement, corruption and looting. Mugabe has not stayed in power these 34 years because that is what the people of Zimbabwe wanted but because he rigged elections.

The very essence of free, fair and credible elections is for the electorate to decide who governs; it is not for those is power to decide when the nation should be allowed to have regime change. In other words it is the democratic right of the people of Zimbabwe to have regime change as an electoral outcome and therefore to have portrayed regime change as a notion imposed by the West was mischievous and a blatant lie.

Zimbabwe would have never sunk this low into this political and economic hell is the people's right to change this failed regime had not been usurped. This must never be allowed to happen ever again.

To blatant rig the vote to ensure there is no regime change is treason against the nation.

There will be a full judiciary inquiry into Zimbabwe's post-independence elections to establish whether or not these elections were indeed free, fair and credible and a true reflection of the democratic will of the people. Be rest assured all those involved in vote rigging will be punished. The message that must be send out is free, fair and credible elections is not just an empty slogan; we mean it and those who subvert this basic tenet of good governance threaten the very stability of the nation and must and will be punished.

Do you really think all those selling airtime cards by the roadside will do so if they could have a formal job?

Yes poverty is a worldwide problem but our poverty is a result of mismanagement, corruption and looting. These are man-made problems that would have been nipped in the bud if we had free, fair and credible elections. No one elected these Zanu PF buffoons because no one who elect to hand their human dignity and hope taken away year after year for 34 years!

JUSTICE, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs minister, Emmerson Mnangagwa has said demonstra-tions are permissible if they are done with the blessings of the police.

Yes, Minister and we all know that the Police are in Zanu PF’s pocket and therefore will never give their blessing to any demonstrations against the regime!

What this regime has completely failed to appreciate is that peaceful demos are a safety valve block it and the pressure will build-up to dangerous levels. The economic meltdown is getting worse and the economic hardships it is imposing on the people are causing terrible suffering; if the regime thinks the people are going to sit there and never protest then it is being naïve!

It is amazing that Zimbabweans have put up with so much s***t all these years and never pro-tested but there is a limit to what anyone can take. The limit to what Zimbabweans can take can-not be far off now!

Zimbabwe's economy is in ruins because of 34 years of misrule and corruption and looting by Zanu PF leaders and loyalists, Mai Mujuru has amassed a fortune estimated at $ 3 billion what artistic talent or business success does she have to justify her wealth? These filthy rich Zanu PF members have amassed their wealth at the time when Zimbabwe's economy has been going down the tube. UNICEF has reported that 62% of Zimbabweans are now poor and 16% or 2 million now live in abject poverty. We know Zanu PF members have not been spared the economic hardships the nation is facing.

Zanu PF grandees, the late, Nathan Shamuyarira and Enos Nkala live the last years of their lives in grinding poverty. Mugabe had Shamuyarira’s house painted and potholes on the road repaired the day he died in a cynical attempt to hide the decades of neglect, rot and decay. The party has since forgotten the two’s widows who are languish in poverty.

“Westerners will always want to infiltrate the party. I mentioned this at a meeting in Chinhoyi in February, and some thought I was mad. This is exactly what I meant: that we should keep our party closely guarded. We do not want our party to be infiltrated by know-it-alls who are on a destructive mission," Mai Mujuru told party supporters at the airport.

The trouble with mentally challenged individuals like Mai Mujuru who were promoted way above their level of competence, she has been is high office all these years and has never done any-thing of value, is that they do not know when the game is up! Zanu PF has been a total disaster for the nation and the party itself. If party grandees like Shamuyarira were living in abject poverty does she really think the rest of the party supporters escaped?

Zanu PF rigged last year’s elections; does Mai Mujuru think she can rig the economic reality too and change the 62% poor to 62% filthy rich like her?

“Zanu-PF — from the top leadership right down to its junior ranks — should uphold the saying, ‘there is no development without unity',” Mai Mujuru advised. “You (Mugabe) are the Sadc Chair, and soon you will assume leadership of the African Union. Everything here at home should be smooth-sailing. We should remain tight-knit."

Zanu PF has enjoyed the de facto one-party dictatorship but where is the development?

It is easy to see why Mugabe was able to hoodwink Zanu PF leaders like Mai Mujuru, Emerson Mnangagwa into following him down this ruinous path all these years they are brain-dead!

“We said no, the land belongs to us, let the British stay in their country. The resources are ours, the ideas of how to mine the minerals are ours, stay in your country, we will stay in our country, the land belongs to us. We are taking back the farms, which you had confiscated from us.”

Last week, Mugabe was gloriously happy after signing his mega-deals with the Chinese and then with the Russians. He even taunted the West boosting about his "best friends" the Chinese and Russians and how the West was now courting him but will keep them waiting!

The next week is was back to the old routine of calling the West evil at an international stage, in the UN General Assembly. As soon as he back home he is complaining that he has been deserted by the West and by fellow Africans!

“They have seen that Zimbabwe is the only country leading in terms of empowering and serving the black people’s interests, fight imperialists that come in different forms. So the respect of our humane is being shown in Zimbabwe, the fearless Zimbabwe, Zimbabwe, which fought imperialists, so we do not have any backing,” Mugabe tells the nation.

So all that boosting about Zimbabwe not needing the West now that it had its “best friends” the Chi-nese and Russians was all an empty bluff!

One day Mugabe is wittering about how he has empowered the ordinary people and yet the reality on the ground is saying the exact opposite. 62% of Zimbabweans are poor and 16% are living in abject poverty and these figures are getting worse each day this tyrant remains in power.

Whilst Mugabe flouts his luxurious lifestyles by throwing $1 million birthday parties, $ 5 million wed-ding reception for his daughter and lives in a palatial $ 20 million Blue Roof and millions of Zimba-bweans are so impoverished they cannot even afford one decent meal a day. His endless talk of em-powering the people is an insult, he is sure they are so stupid they will never notice just how misera-ble they are. Poverty is like a hot chill dish, it is insulting for someone to keep insisting there is no chill in the dish when you can taste it yourself.

If Mugabe cannot work with the West and, by his own admission Zimbabwe can never prosper without the West even after singing mega-deals with its best friends the Chinese and Russians then the people of Zimbabwe have the right to elect someone who can work with the West. It is clear Mugabe is still itching for a fight the imperialist; he can continue his fight but not from State House! Why should the whole nation suffer just because Mugabe cannot work with the West!

Mugabe has been wittering about empowering the black majority and 34 years after independence you are still admitting blacks still do not have control of "key sectors of the economy"? The truth is this is a corrupt and incompetent regime that has failed but will never admit it.

The people of Zimbabwe have heard enough of these feeble excuses, the regime must go. And like it or not it is going!
