Mugabe has ruled Zanu PF and country as crow on a high perch crapping on those below!

The factional fighting in Zanu PF is heating up and whilst the factional members are slogging it out in a vicious no-hold-barred and take-no-prisoners fight, they all take it in turn to shower Mugabe with praise as if to say he can do no wrong. If anything it is Mugabe himself who has drummed the hornet by parachuting his wife Grace to lead the women’s league in violation of the party rules. It is this Mugabe can do no wrong mentality that concerns me!

When a senior Zanu PF leader like Rugare Gumbo talk of “Anyone who misdirects their focus to dwell on petty, narrow and immature politics is not only showing disrespect to President Mugabe who is genuinely determined to improve the welfare of the people- but is on the wrong side of history and should be ashamed of himself or herself." It is clear why the country is in such a serious mess!

The country is facing a serious economic meltdown millions of our people have been thrown into a life of abject poverty and despair and here is someone who still believes Mugabe is doing fine. This not just anyone but one has had his hands on the levers of power and therefore could and should have done something to stop this regime dragging the nation into this mess. The sheer stupidity of leaders like Rugare Gumbo is breath-taking.

No wonder Mugabe has all these years ran circles round the Zanu PF leaders and treated them all with the uttermost contempt whenever he pleased. Mugabe is the first secretary of Zanu PF but not in the conventional sense of first amongst equals but more like the crow on the top perch crapping on all those below!

The truth is Zanu PF has failed to deliver mass prosperity and has delivered instead mass poverty. If someone as senior as Rugare Gumbo does not have the courage to tell Mugabe that simple reality then who will! It is clear Gumbo did not have the courage to speak the truth and the least he should have done then is to shut up. Instead he is showering Mugabe with praise whilst heaping all the blame on those around the tyrant as if it is unthinkable for Mugabe to be fallible!

It is pleased that Mugabe and the whole Zanu PF edifice are collapsing; the dictatorship is rotten to the core and it is now collapsing like a rotten watermelon. Zimbabwe needs a new political system in which those in leadership positions have the humility to accept that they are first and foremost fallible mortals and not demigods and therefore they are accountable to their follow leaders and the public at large affected by their decisions.

Mr Rugare Gumbo, Mugabe is corrupt, neurotic and murderous tyrant; he has fcuked up big time and so too have you. You have sat there all these 34 years dozing and said and done nothing to stop all this madness!

@ Den Moyo
Even if all you have said was truth that Tendai Biti and Elton Mangoma were moles paid by Mugabe to sell-out the struggle for democratic change and Lindiwe Zulu had warned Tsvangirai and the rest in MDC to replace the two negotiators even someone totally unfamiliar with the story would ask; so why did Tsvangirai not heed the warning? Tsvangirai was the leader of MDC and it was his signature that is on the GPA, so why did he sign the document if he was not happy with terms?
Anyone more familiar with the GPA and the going-on throughout the GNU know that whilst the GPA let a lot to be desired the greatest failure here was that none of the democratic reforms were ever implemented. MDC had five years to do so but failed to get even one reform implemented. Not one!

It is nonsense to single out anyone in MDC as having foreseen that Mugabe would blatantly rig the elections and they stood to gain from a Zanu PF victory. The truth is all the MDC leaders were cock sure the party’s support was rock-solid that no amount of Zanu PF rigging would overhaul their majority. And so MDC leaders relaxed and enjoyed the spoils of power that Mugabe piled on them. Tsvangirai got his Highlands mansion bribe and was allowed to gallivant all over the world and to chase women of ill repute; he was living it. They all forgot about the reforms.

SADC heads accused MDC leaders of “enjoying being in the GNU and forgetting why they were there” in sheer frustration at the failure by MDC to get even one reform implemented!

MDC leaders were not just corrupt but, worse still; they showed that they are breathtakingly incompetent. This was the nation’s get-out-of-jail card and they failed to use it.

That one show see Tendai Biti, Morgan Tsvangirai, Welshman Ncube and all the other MDC leaders as anything else other than the breathtakingly incompetent village idiots they are only draws attention on the individual’s mental ability.

Way back in 2004 the then USA Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Chris Dell, said Tsvangirai was “a flawed and indecisive character”. People have had the benefit of hindsight especially the blundering incompetence throughout the GNU years resulting in the rigged July 2013 elections. They have had the last year for gravity of the failure to implement the reforms to sink in. After all that, if the penny has not dropped that Tsvangirai is a breathtakingly incompetent village idiot then it will never drop!

Den Moyo it is not just a question of Tendai Biti, Elton Mangoma and the rest of the MDC-Renewal team are “caused the worst derailment of the people's project”; Morgan Tsvangirai, Welshman Ncube, David Coltart, Eddie Cross and everyone in MDC-T and MDC-N all failed the nation! Anyone who tries to single one group from the other fails to see the true picture!

Mwonzora appeals for financial help to pay court trial expenses for himself and 20 other Nyanga villagers. They are accused of beating up Zanu PF supporters in 2011.

I feel sorry for the villagers but not for Mr Mwonzora.

He made a fortune in allowances as co-chair of Copac, some of which he used to build his "hotel house" in Harare as Job Sakhala called it. Mwonzora insisted the Copac constitution would deliver free, fair and credible elections but we now know it did not because it was too weak and feeble.

Nearly $100 million was wasted writing that Copac rubbish to say nothing of the price the nation is paying because Mugabe rigged the 2013 elections.

Some day when the dust has settled, we must sell Mwonzora's hotel house; it was bad enough that he sold out to Mugabe we should not allow him to keep his spoils too!

@ Sammy Moyo

Yes Mugabe and Zanu PF are the problem but MDC are too incompetent to be the solution here; all they have ever done is muddy the water allowing Mugabe and Zanu PF to stay in power. They are now as much the problem as Mugabe and Zanu in that we have to get rid of them first if we are ever going to have a clean shot at Mugabe and Zanu PF.

If you cannot see that MDC will never even deliver any meaningful democratic changes even with the benefit of all the blunders MDC have made these last 15 years then you too are as much a problem as Tsvangirai and the other MDC leaders. As long as we have voters who are so stupid and gullible they will elect a village idiot like Tsvangirai not once, not twice but again and again and again because they are hard-wired to follow even a village idiot blundering from pillar to post without ever asking what went wrong; we have no hope of electing competent leaders.

The only reason Mugabe and Zanu PF are still in power especially after the GNU is because not even one reform was implemented in the five years of the GNU. No reforms were implemented because MDC lead-ers were breathtakingly incompetent period. Having the same incompetent leaders champion the struggle to end the Zanu PF dictatorship will produce the same result as has happened these last 15 years!

You MDC supporters are thick and no amount of reasoning ever gets through that thick layer of fatty tissue in your brain. The years spent with your heads stuck in village idiots like Tsvangirai's backsides have taken a heavy toll of your brain cells; there are very few active brain-cells left most have turned into fat!

It took people like you Sammy 15 years at least before you finally realised that Mugabe was a corrupt, neurotic and murderous tyrant. It will take you another 25 years of mindless blundering by Tsvangirai before you will finally accept that he is indeed a breathtakingly incompetent village idiot. You elected a tyrant failed to learn from that mistake and elected a village idiot and in another 25 years, being an idiot whose brain is impermeable to reason, you will elect another tyrant or idiot guaranteed!

MDC’s Priscilla Misihairabwi Mushonga accuses government of abandoning the late Enos Nkala’s wid-ow!

The country is facing a serious economic meltdown and we need a holistic solution and not a solution to address a few individuals because that is not going to work. This regime and its supporter must realise that the system Mugabe has followed all these has failed to deliver mass prosperity and the failure has been far reaching not even those in the inner most core of the Zanu PF ruling elite have been spare.

Idiots like Priscilla Misihairabwi Mushonga are wasting the nation's time wittering about nothing; does she really think war vets’ wives and children can still continue enjoying the ruling elite life style many of them enjoyed for years and never be touched by the on-going economic meltdown. She should just shut her big trap if she has nothing useful to say!

It is the economic meltdown that is Mugabe and Zanu PF's greatest threat to Mugabe’s continued rule; the factional wars are nothing in comparison! Mugabe rigged the 2013 elections now he must rig economic recovery!

The trouble with people like you Nick is that, like your leader Mugabe, you ignore the facts on the ground that do not support your narrative and still think you make sense. Zimbabweans in the diaspora and back in Zimbabwe are NOT in this ZimAsset nonsense with Zanu PF. Mugabe rigged the July 2013 elections denying millions of Zimbabwean voters a meaningful say in the governance of the country. They never believed in Zanu PF's ZimAsset blue print or in the party's ability to deliver an economic recovery. As for the Zimbabweans in the diaspora the tyrannical regime denying them a vote out right.

Mugabe and Zanu PF rigged the July 2013 elections now the regime must rig economic recovery; the tyrant and you his paid acolytes must deliver or be damned! The regime is in this mess alone and none of the "we are in this together" nonsense!

@ Ndaba Nhuku

I do have an issue with Priscilla Misihairabwi Mushonga, I have an issue with Morgan Tsvangirai, I have an issue with Tendai Biti, etc. In short I do have an issue with all the MDC leaders for having failed to implement the democratic reforms that would have stopped Mugabe rigging the elections and thus save the nation from all this tyrannical rule. Right now the we should be concentrating on how to force this Zanu PF regime to step down because nothing of any substance will ever be achieved as long as the regime remains in office and all these MDC idiots are doing is bring up issues for which nothing can be done just to muddy the water and impress little minds like you Nhuku.

The Zimbabwe economy is in total meltdown and millions of our people are living in abject poverty, un-employment has soared to 90%, 300 000 or 80% of the children who should be at school are not, etc. Priscilla did not pick on any of these ordinary people but picked on the widow of the late nationalist Enos Nkala because she knew it will get her the attention she is craving for. Government is broke and therefore Mrs Nkala is not going to get anything from it!

Mpilo Hospital is so poorly funded that last week Zambia Ambassador was moved into donating $500.00, if Ms Mushonga can do likewise and donate some of the generous salary and allowances she has amassed, the only real reason she is in politics, that would be better that all this endless chatter.

The trouble with people like you Nhuku and hundreds of thousands of simple-minded people like you is that you are easily fooled. Last year MDC promised you over and over that the new Copac constitution would deliver free, fair and credible elections and you swallowed hook, line and sinker. You approved the new constitution by a staggering 95% on 16 March 2013. Four months later Mugabe went on to blatantly rigged the elections and you have never had the common sense to ask what happened to the MDC promise!

As long as there are simpletons like you Nhuku there will always be incompetent politicians like Ms Mushomga ready to exploit your naivety and as long as there are incompetent leaders like her in power this nation will never get out of the hell-hole we are now stuck in. If you want to see who is the real political “midget”, whose brain is impermeable to reason, then look in the mirror!

Finance Minister Patrick Chinamasa refuse to give details of the financial help China has offered following President Mugabe’s begging trip last week. However he did admitted that China was not offering and budgetary help, which is the area government was hoping to get help in.

For 34 years Mugabe and Zanu PF have cheated, bullied and even murdered their opponents to get their way. The bottom line is the tyrant failed to get any cash to fill the financial chasm in government expenditure let alone the chasm foreign investors are supposed to fill. It is not MDC MPs Sibanda who needs "continuing education" this time Minister Chinamasa but you and the rest of the Zanu PF cabal. You will learnt, whether you like it or not, that the economic meltdown is here and you cannot rig economic recovery!

Ignorance is Zimbabwe's biggest problem’ it is even bigger that the economic meltdown the country is facing right now. A big chunk of our people, including those in the security sectors, is aware of the in-creasing economic hardship but they do not have the foggiest idea of why the economy is in meltdown much less what should be down. So it is possible that there will be some in the security services who would believe that they can seize power and bingo the good times of the 1980s are back!

Of course anyone who is aware of the current economic reality would know that the root cause of the meltdown is that the Zanu PF economic model of reckless spending was doomed to fail and that the only way out is for the country to restore political legitimacy through free, fair and credible elections. Any Army coup will only try to replace an illegitimate regime with another illegitimate one; that will solve nothing!

Personally I do not think a coup is on the cards for the simple reason that the shallow-minded and myopic individual would be the one solidly behind Mugabe and Zanu (PF); they will not stage a coup against the tyrant.

What is more likely to happen is for some members of the Army and/or Police vending their anger and frustration because their pay is later or at the increasing hardships. The threat of social unrest is real and it could be started by security sector personnel of civilians.

The other factor that could force Mugabe to step down is the ticking health time-bomb!

@ Mukwerekwere

You are failing to accept that once Tsvangirai got the Highlands mansion he did not care about implementing the reforms. Even if Tsvangirai had shared power equally with Mugabe, he would still have failed to implement the reforms because he has never understood what they are about, even today he still does not. He is that incompetent!

SADC had meant the GPA to give Mugabe a soft landing but by failing to implement the reforms it was Tsvangirai has ended up being eased out of power completely!

“Unoda kuti ndipikise zvarehwa nevakuru? Zvinenge zvataurwa nevakuru hazvipikiswe. (Do you want me to dispute a position taken by higher offices? What high offices say stands),” said Zanu PF party spokesman Rugare Gumbo. He was responding to the question that has dogged Zimba-bwe politics why Mugabe has parachuting his wife, Grace, into central committee and politburo leadership positions is direct violation of Zanu PF’s party rules stating that only someone who had been in provision position for at least 15 years could do so. Grace has never held any party position until now.

Of course if senior leaders like Gumbo cannot question Mugabe and grovel before the tyrant with their tails between their legs like a whipped dog; it is not surprising that Mugabe has ruled the party and nation like the crow seating on the top perch crapping on all those below! It is not sur-prising that Mugabe has been able to throw $ 1 million birthday party for himself and a $5 million wedding party for his daughter at a time other senior party members like the late Nathan Shamuyarira and Enos Nkala were living in abject poverty. They died paupers and their widows are still living in abject poverty. Yet Shamuyarira, Nkala, Gumbo, etc. have had the guts to point out at the absurdity of such gastronomically excesses in the midst of the grinding poverty!

It is great that Zanu PF is collapsing because the economic system it created was doomed to fail since it failed to deliver mass prosperity and delivered mass poverty instead and the later has not spared those in the inner most core of the dictatorship. The party is collapsing because the core is rotten!

Mugabe wanted budgetary assistance and he did not get it. You can pretend that he never even thought of the budgetary assistance. Never ever! The thought of budgetary assistance is absurd. Indeed the Zimbabwe government does not need budgetary assistance; it has bags and bags of cash it does not know what to do with it!

I suppose the economic meltdown is all a lie too! Zimbabwe is booming, booming I said!

Mugabe went to China, not to beg but for the 21 gun salute and to walk on the Great Wall of China!
