Abject poverty awaits Minister Dzikamai Mavhaire - nhamo ichakudzikamisai!

The factional warfare going on in Zanu PF was expected; as the nation economy has continued to shrink – and it has been shrinking at an alarming rate since the 31 July 2013 rigged elections – and there was less and less wealth available to go round, fighting would break out amongst the ruling elite over who get what? The fighting is fierce because the ruling elite are used to getting a lion’s share and will not brook sharing. The very fact that a life of abject poverty awaits all those fail to get a share has turned the fighting into a dog-eat-dog.

There have been many skirmishes in the past but the decisive battles have been fought with the entry of Grace Mugabe on the political stage. Whilst Mugabe, as First Secretary of Zanu PF, banish everyone from campaigning for position in the forthcoming elective congress in December and banished everyone from holding an press interviews his wife was allowed to hold country wide rallies and the press followed her wherever she went. She attached VP Joyce Mujuru, who is her main challenger to the position of VP and ultimately to the presidency, for the word go.

Grace went for the kill, straight for the jugular vein, and poor Mai Mujuru had her hands tied behind her back and her feet too were tied so she not kick or run away through the gags Mugabe ordered. It is now certain that Grace Mugabe will be appointed one of the two VPs and heir apparent at the party congress.

The only real winner here is Robert Mugabe; he has, once again, outwitted his Zanu PF colleagues. He got the Mnangagwa faction to adopt his wife as their candidate for the top job which Mnangagwa had eyed for donkey years. The Mujuru faction was not only lost the top job but many of her supporters have lost their places at the top table too.

Both Mujuru and Mnangagwa have done nothing to stop the Zanu PF juggernaut that has destroyed the country’s once prosperous economy. 16% or 2 million Zimbabweans are living in abject poverty today thanks to the decades of misrule and corruption by this Mugabe dictatorship. In the next few months the number of those living in abject poverty will be swelled considerably as the thousands of mostly Mujuru supporters are “dumped” as Grace Mugabe blandly put it.

Energy Minister Dzikamai Mavhaire and his Masvingo homeboy, Provincial Affairs Minister Kudakwashe Bhasikiti are two who have already been told they will be dumped. Welcome comrades! Welcome! Matitsika!

The late Nathan Shamuyarira and Enos Nkala would have welcomed you comrades to Zimbabwe’s biggest and fastest growing group – 62% poor of which 16% are destitute. Life expectancy for filthy rich who can afford an eye check-up to Singapore eight times a year @ $3 million a trip is 90 years plus. When one cannot afford even one decent meal a day even party grandees soon succumb to death.

It is true that where there is poverty, death is not far behind!

When Shamuyarira and Nkala died, they got a decent coffin. Zanu PF even painted the former’s house the day he died to hide the years of neglect, rot and decay brought on by abject poverty. It was sickeningly cynical of the party but you, Comrade Mavhaire, must know all about just how cruel and cynical Mugabe and Zanu PF is.

Now that Zanu PF Supremo President, Grace Mugabe, has publicly denounced you it will be no surprise that you will not be declared district hero and thus get a State funded coffin which is what Shamuyarira and Nkala got. You will be buried in something befitting of your new found pauper social status - a dirty blanket.

If there is anyone who “deserves” to living in abject poverty then it must be these Zanu PF Ministers and Officials. For 34 years they have been at Mugabe’s side whilst he destroyed the country’s economy and rod roughshod over the people’s dreams and hopes of freedom, liberty and justice. And throughout all those years they have done nothing to stop this criminal waste of the country’s wealth and rich and tragic human suffering and unnecessary deaths. Now these ministers will know exactly what we the ordinary people have been suffered!

Comrade Dzakamai Mavhaire, maivhaira muchifunga kuti zvehu Minister hazviperi. Nhasi zvapera; nhamo chiraira mapenzi, ichakudzikamisai.

SOUTH Africa, unlike other African countries, has focused intensely on improving the life of its citizens, President Jacob Zuma said on Sunday.
"What is it that causes protests and demonstrations in South Africa when the rest of Af-rica is not doing it? Once the countries were free, it was each one for themselves. There were no programs to deal with poor people," said Zuma in Pretoria.
"If I am wrong, come and tell me which country did as we did. Once we were free we said our major focus is to address the plight of the poor. In no country in the world have you seen government giving people houses free of charge because they are poor."
The one thing that SA has had and few other African countries have had is freedom: freedom of expression and the freedom to hold protests, amongst the many freedoms. These are the very freedoms you, Mr President are complaining about but thankful will not be able to cut back!

@ Sam Moyo

Well many of them are now swelling up the ranks of those living in abject poverty. After 34 years of living on Easy Street these people will find life unbearable in Shit Alley; on very quickly adapts to a better life it is moving from a king to a beggar that is near impossible to adapt to especially when it happens so quickly. Take away the government vehicle, cheat loans, etc. you will be surprise how quickly these people sink!

Many of these pretentious idiots who have wanted to create the impression they not having a hot bath was unthinkable will now have to quickly get used to having no running for months, no food, etc. Many of them will not last!

@Makusakatara

The economic meltdown, driven by the rampant corruption is marching on relentlessly and will not listen to your nonsense. As long as Mugabe and Zanu PF remains in power the economic meltdown will get worse. We the 2 million now living in abject poverty are going to be joined soon by the hordes of main Mujuru supporters who are going to be dumped by Supremo President Grace Mugabe.

Not that they are the first Zanu PF grandees to join those living in abject poverty; the late Shamuyarira and Enos Nkala were among us. After years of sleeping in silk sheets it was a shock to the system to having a dirty blanket alive with bed-bugs and no sheets. They will have terrible rash.

After decades of a lazy lifestyle of doing nothing and having everything it is the challenge of having to do an honest day's work that gets them in the end! How the mighty have fallen!

@ Dr Kwetekani

I tell you many of these Zanu PF members who are now swelling up the numbers of those now living in abject poverty are facing a real tough time. After decades of living in Easy Street getting everything they want and doing nothing. In Shit Alley, they will have to do a full day’s honest work just to have something to eat. Up to now their chefs and their wives’ biggest worry was to losing weight but from now on they will have something to really worry about for a change!

@ Chimbganda

"It (congress) comes at a time when the party is still reeling from its “loss” to Zanu PF in the last gen-eral elections; a time when the party is bleeding from internal strife. It comes at a time when the confi-dence of the party is at its lowest ebb and when the leadership is under severe pressure to fulfil its promises," you said.

So why did MDC do so badly in the elections when the party had the majority of supporters. The par-ty's leaders had sworn that the elections would be free, fair and credible but have since admitted that the elections were in fact rigged. Why did MDC get it so hopeless wrong to lose an election in which the party had the overwhelming majority of supporters?

It is now over a year since the rigged elections and still the MDC has not said or done anything to address this key question. By all account it seems the elective congress is going ahead without any attempt to answer this question.

MDC should have implemented the democratic reforms necessary for free, fair and credible elections. This did not happen because the leaders are breathtakingly incompetent, they did not see the critical importance of implementing the reforms during the GNU and they still do not see the need now. Any one who thinks electing the same incompetent leaders to lead the MDC and expect a different result is not just naive but worse, they are first class idiots. Only a real first class idiot would make the same mistake twice!

MDC members can go ahead and elect the same failed leaders, it is their democratic right to be naive and worse, but they can be sure of one thing MDC will be blundering from pillar to post until some-thing is finally done about getting competent leaders.

MDC betrayed the nation by failing to implement the reforms. Since the rigged elections the party has become a political distraction the nation can do without; all its leaders care about is how to get back on the gravy train.

@ Moses Matenga

“FIRST Lady Grace Mugabe’s public attack on Vice-President Joice Mujuru is likely to help her remain Zanu PF’s second in command on popularity ratings with the grassroots, analysts and loyalists have said,” you said.

The analysts will be right if this was a fair fight and the grassroots have a say. We are dealing with Mugabe and Zanu PF here. MDC had the overwhelming majority support in last year national elec-tions but Mugabe went on to “win” with a two thirds majority.

It is already evident that this fight for VP position is not a fair fight; whilst Grace has been allowed to have these nationwide rallies slogging Mai Mujuru and threatening and humiliating her supporters Mai Mujuru has done nothing. She was gagged by the ban on all campaigning for positions and ban to talk to the press. The ban applies to everyone except Grace. Poor Mai Mujuru has her hands tied behind her band and has her legs tied too so she cannot kick or run away. Grace has gone for the jugular vein!

If Mai Mujuru and Mnangagwa had any brain then they should have seen this coming. Mugabe has not only cheated and bamboozled opposition parties like MDC he has done the same to his fellow Zanu PF leaders too hence the reason why he has stayed top dog all these last 50 years even when it was evidence he was leading the party and nation astray. Mujuru and Mnangagwa never saw this because they are as thick as a brick.

Mai Mujuru has been outwitted and all her supporters has gone into hiding in disarray and they are out of the minds with fright.

Did you see what Grace did to Shadreck Mashayamombe, he is the one who had the check to say Grace could not belong to Harare Province and that she should find another home. He was publicly humbled, if he was a dog he would had not just his tail between his legs but bend double to have his nose in his a***!

When the nominations for position come in it will be Grace Mugabe for VP position! Hard core Mujuru supporters like Energy Minister Dzikamai Mavhaire have already been told that they will be dumped and most of them will be living in abject poverty within months. After decades living in Easy Street they will find life in S***t Alley tough, really tough. Instead of worrying about losing weight they will have many things to really worry about for a change!

"This is a warning to those who are supporting 'Gamatox' (Didymus Mutasa) that sooner than later, the day of reckoning is coming. The people who are working with the opposition will be exposed at the congress," Gokwe MP Wadyajena said.

This is not a warning. This is a threat. Mugabe has always ruled by fear and it is no surprise that he is re-sorting to his old tried and tested way.

Mugabe has always had some idiots like Wadyajena ready to do his dirty work for the tyrant. Be rest assured these idiots will be asked to account for all they have said and done, for some have blood of innocent Zimbabweans on their hands!

Zimbabwe is not going to be ruled by fear and the whim of a tyrant any more. There will be regime change and a return to rule of law!

THE Zanu-PF Politburo is expected on Wednesday to discuss possible action against the senior party official that the First Lady Grace Mugabe has accused of corruption and fanning factional-ism.

Well now the country will see whether Mai Mujuru has any fight left in her or the jugular vein attach killed her. She is guilty of corruption, corruption is rampant and it is the one cancer killing the national economy. If she is to be punished then so must everybody!

What is this factionalism charge all about, it is nonsense! Mai Mujuru have people in the party at all levels from the ordinary member of the party to party leaders right in the politburo who have supported her as a senior party leader in various positions and issues. The party has an elective congress coming up and many of these party members and leaders have backed her bid to be re-elected VP. Why is this now a crime?

For years Mugabe has ruled Zanu PF and the country with an iron fist, changing the goal post and the rules to suit his singular selfish goal of getting absolute power and retaining it in his iron grip. Enough is enough, this must now stop.

Mai Mujuru is not the brightest kid on the block but the charges brought against are so frivolous and absurd anyone with two point IQ above that of an idiot will be able to hold their own even if they are pitted against a most cunning tyrant like Mugabe. Mai Mujuru should certain have an IQ way above that of the Idiot plus two, unless her recent PhD, like Grace Mugabe's, was a phony too!

Mugabe should arrest the economic meltdown if he does not want the country called a failed state. Arresting Itai Dzamara will not change a thing.

The economic meltdown is real and it going to get worse as long as Mugabe remains in power. Corruption is the fuel causing the economic meltdown and Mugabe is the source of the corruption because it is part and parcel of the political patronage system he has used to reward party loyalists who have kept him and Zanu PF in power.

To end corruption Mugabe and Zanu PF must go. 2 million or 16% of the people already live in abject poverty according to a recent UNICEF report anyone who thinks this situation can go on for much longer is naive. Like it or not Mugabe will go or forced out Gadaffi style!

There individuals in the regime who have sort to impress Mugabe by doing the tyrant's dirty work. This must stop because these people will be left holding the bag. Who ordered the arrest of Itai? He was arrested on what charge?

@ Rovambira

The money wasted by Tsvangirai on all his gallivanting, the $4 million Highland mansion, etc. all sinks into the insignificances of a mouse in a game-count in Hwange Game Reserve compared to the price this nation is paying for his breath-taking incompetence in failing to implement the reforms.

300 000 or 80% of the children are not at school, even if that was for this one year alone that is a whole generation because of the multiplier effect this will have for their whole lives. These shocking school dropouts have taken years to reach this shocking level and God knows how many years it is going to take to bring them down.

16% or 2 million now live in abject poverty, they have no jobs, nowhere to live and they are ill clothed and ill fed. This is having a devastating effect on those alive today and will affect mil-lions yet to be born because a child born of a malnourished mother will suffer stinted develop to the third or fourth generation. One thing is clear; as long as Mugabe and Zanu PF remain in power more and more people will be forced into abject poverty.

If MDC had implemented the reforms then Mugabe would not have rigged the elections and the country will have a democratic government and the task of rebuilding this nation would have restarted in earnest. Some of these school dropouts will be at school and the growing tide of those forced into abject poverty would start to be eased to a trickle.

The nation would not begrudge a game-warden for killing a mouse but damn him if started a fire that went on to kill hundreds of thousands of other animals immediately in the ensuing inferno and millions more latter deprived of their grazing. It would be the height of folly to knowing allow such an irresponsible idiot back into the Game Reserve knowing he is not interested in the welfare of the animals but only a chance to hunt mice!

Tsvangirai and his MDC friends have proven beyond all doubt that they are breathtakingly in-competent and therefore they must never be allowed to hold any public office. Never! They still have public following but only because the Zimbabwe electorate whose lives are a tragic misery do not understand that they are suffering because Tsvangirai accept the Highlands mansion as a bribe not to implement the reforms that would have ended their misery.

The electorate do not know it was MDC who betrayed the nation for selfish person gain; it is incumbent of all of us who know it to make sure the rest of the people know it and, more significantly, the nation does not allow these village idiots back on the gravy train which is all they want to do.

@datZart

I agree that Mai Mujuru is corrupt, how else would someone as thick as her get a fortune valued into billions? But is she is being tried of corruption then all those who are corrupt too must be brought forward otherwise we are compounding the issue by corrupting the very trial supposedly dealing with corruption.

As for treason charges you should not forget that this is a party issue as distinct from a national issue. When Mugabe rigged the elections last year, for example, that is high treason because it is a crime against the nation. Mugabe has no doubt rig Zanu PF party elections to stay in power, he will never be charged of treason for that!

@ Fox

There are 300 000 children who are not at school right now; 2 million of our people are living in abject poverty right now; etc. These and the millions of their own descendants to follow are the real victims of Tsvangirai and MDC's failure to implement the reforms. Some one has to speak for them.

These MDC idiots did not implement the reforms because Mugabe bribed them with the Highlands mansion for Tsvangirai and other goodies for the rest. I do not grudge Tsvangirai for the mansion or Gutu for his Deputy Minister car no more than one would grudge a Game-warden for killing a rabbit. But damn the warden if he started a fire that kills millions of animals in the ensuing inferno and millions more latter due to starvation just to kill a rabbit! More significantly I will be damned that same stupid warden be allowed back in the Game reserve!

Just because millions of ordinary Zimbabweans do not understand the connection between their present tragic suffering and MDC's betrayal does not mean the MDC idiots should be allowed back on the gravy train, which is all they want to do, so they can betray the nation yet again.

You cannot get your head around this simple fact that MDC are idiots but that is not my fault and I do not like it when a nincompoop over reaches himself and tell those with brains what to do. You are a nincompoop because only a nincompoop can fail to see the real consequences of MDC's incompetence; keep your hands below the level of your head!

@Chimsoro

Do not count on mass support, Mai Mujuru may have that but look what happened to MDC in 2008 and 2013, their mass support counted for nothing. Mai Mujuru should know better, but then she is not really a full shilling.

Did you see what Grace did to Shadreck Mashayamombe, he is the one who had the check to say Grace could not belong to Harare Province and that she should find another home. He was publicly humbled, if he was a dog he would had not just his tail between his legs but bend double to have his nose in his a***!

Many of Mai Mujuru's supporters have vanished into thin air like a mist under the African sun! She is finished! After decades of eating with the devil she has ended up being the dish herself and serves her right!

The moral of the story of Mai Mujuru and all those Mujuru supporters, Mashayamombe, Mavhaire, etc. who are now being dumped to join the millions now living in abject poverty is freedom, justice, liberty human rights are as important for us at the bottom of the social heap as they are for those at the dizzying heights of power. If the basic human freedoms and rights in-cluding the right to meaningful vote and the right to life itself have not been systematically de-nied all these years then, we the powerless and voiceless would never have sunk into these depths of hopelessness and despair. And you the rich and powerful now be looking at the same human freedoms and rights as a safety net to stop you falling to the same depths of depravity we have been languishing in all these years!

From there dizzying heights these Zanu PF goons have a long way to fall and it is naïve to think there will be no broken bones even for those well-padded all round like Mai Mujuru! Watch out!
