"Prophet" revise his economic boom prophesy into the distant future - we should count on science not false prophets!

The people of Zimbabwe should stop listening to false prophets like Magaya has prophesy of economic recovery did not happen and now he is moving the goal post into the distant future.

"It (economic recovery) does not happen overnight. I know that people are unemployed and the economy is not performing well, but what is needed is patience. We have to wait on the Lord. He is the one with the answer," he said.

"Last year, yes they were trying to put their house in order. I am talking about the ruling Zanu PF. I think they will now concentrate on the economy. We are going to enjoy relative peace and this should help us attract investors to Zimbabwe. I see the rise of Zimbabwe from there. But we need unity and patience as a nation," said Magaya.

This is just of the many false prophets who have emerged in recent years to profit misery of our people by giving them false hope. He is doing what all the others have been doing, talking nonsense.

The idiot is asking the people to be patient with Zanu PF as is the regime has only been in power the last few years. Magaya, Mugabe has been in power for the last 35 years! When he took over power from Ian Smith the country’s economy was strong and not the mess it is today. It was the three and half decades of unrelenting corruption and mismanagement that has got us into this mess.

You tell us that economic recover does not happen overnight, "We have to wait on the Lord. He is the one with the answer."

Are we to assume that God was not in any way involved in the Mugabe’s misrule of the last 35 years; it would be blasphemous to even suggest that He had a part in the corruption, brutal oppression and mass murders that have been the hallmarks of this Mugabe regime. So when exactly has God taken over and start implementing His answer?

Indeed it seems Mugabe successfully bribed Tsvangirai and his MDC friends so they would not implement any of the democratic reforms allowing the tyrant blatantly rig the 2013 July elections. Ever since the rigged elections the mismanagement and corruption have continued as before, it was business as usual and nothing has changed.

Zimbabwe is subject to the same laws of thermodynamics, economics, etc. as every other nation on earth. To tell the people that the nation can still prosper and thrive whilst those in power continue flout all the basic rules of sound economics is false theology.

The good Lord has given Zimbabwe rich soils and every season has seen to it we had adequate rain, he has gifted the nation a great abundance of flora and fauna and minerals. The fact that the nation has repeatedly failed to grown enough food to feed its own people and that millions are living in abject poverty has nothing to do with God, it is man’s doing. Our leaders have failed us and it is the duty of us the citizens to hold those in power to account.

The ultimate expression of democratic accountability is that the people should, if they so wish, be able to remove those in office and replace them with others in free, fair and credible elections. Those who have denied the people the right to meaningful and stifle the calls for the implementation of all democratic reforms necessary for the holding of free elections have argued the calls threatened “unity and peace”. This is nonsense and must be discounted with the contempt it rightly deserves.

It is the economic injustice engendered by the inequitable distribution of the nation’s wealth and riches that is causing the anger and divisions in our country.

No there has not been peace in Zimbabwe these last 35 years, over 30 000 innocent Zimbabweans have been murdered and millions have been harassed, beaten and/or raped. It is not those asking for justice, democratic rights and human dignity who have committed these heinous crimes. They were all committed by those who sort to deny other their freedoms and basic rights to establish and maintain this de facto one-party dictatorship.

In a healthy democratic society the people have a right to peaceful protest. Zimbabwe is not a democracy and peaceful demonstrations have always met with brutal oppression from the regime. We should discount the lie that the Riot Police have been deploying to maintain law and order and peace; they are part and parcel of the set up to maintain the de facto one-party dictatorship.

In a way it is not surprising that the false prophets preaching their false theology and false prophesies of economic prosperity are now presenting the Riot Police and Zanu PF as the peace-makers and their victims as the criminals who have lost patience on the Lord’s miraculous economic recovery.

What Zimbabweans have to understand now more than ever is that Mugabe and Zanu PF have nothing left to get the nation out of the economic hell the regime landed us in. Mugabe’s Zimasset plan is dead in the water because no donor was willing to bankroll the hare-brain scheme. And as long as Mugabe and Zanu PF remain in power the economic meltdown will get worse and not better.

Whilst Mugabe and Zanu PF have no solution to end the economic misery this does not mean the regime will want to give up political power; far from it, this regime would want to hang on to power even if that means dragging the whole nation is the deepest chambers of hell! It is not in the DNA of tyrants to give up political power especially when they have so much loot to protect and a murderous past to keep under wraps.
The Zimbabwe economy is already in a hell-of-mess with unemployment a nauseating 90%, 16% are already living in abject poverty, millions have left the country as economic and/or political refugees, etc. The only way we are ever going to stop Zanu PF dragging this nation even deeper into this hell is by demanding the full implementation of all the democratic reforms agreed in 2008 GPA followed by the holding of fresh elections.
