Zimbabweans rebuke Mugabe insult of Kalangas but dismiss MDC opportumistic demand!

Many people have been very forceful and direct in their condemnation of Mugabe’s stupid, stupid criticism of the Kalanga. In stepped Zimbabwe’s biggest clowns, MDC-T, and one has to digress to tell them to shut up!

“THE MDC notes with disgust the highly misguided, tribalist and inflammatory utterances by President Robert Mugabe at the on-going SADC summit, singling out Kalangas and others from Matebeleland South as "uneducated" and not qualified for jobs in South Africa,” read the MDC-T statement.

"We therefore call upon Mugabe to do the noble thing and resign first as the chairperson of the two regional bodies and also as the president of this country as he no-longer has the gravitas and requisite capacity to take these important institutions to the next level," concluded MDC-T statement!

It has been said of Alphonse Gabriel "Al" Capone, American gangster who attained fame during the Prohibition era, “it is better to get him on tax-invasion charges if the Authorities cannot get him on murder charges”. Is this then MDC-T’s attempt to do the same thing with Mugabe; they have failed to remove him from State House through the vote and so now they are hoping to do so by getting him to resign for using foul language. This has to be cheap politicking at its worst.

Mugabe has destroyed the Zimbabwe economy; three and half decades of gross mismanagement and rampant corruption have taken their toll, the economy is now in total meltdown with unemployment a nauseating 90% plus and 16% of our people are now living in total abject poverty.

For 35 years Zanu PF has ridden roughshod over the people’s hopes and dreams denying them their basic freedoms and human rights including the right to a meaningful vote and the right to life itself. Over 30 000 innocent Zimbabweans have been murdered by Mugabe and his Zanu PF thugs to establish this corrupt and tyrannical Zanu PF dictatorship!

It was none other than Morgan Tsvangirai and his MDC friends who wasted the country’s golden opportunity to end the Mugabe dictatorship by implementing the democratic reforms. They had five years to do this but failed to get even one reform implement because Mugabe bribed them. They sold-out!

Having sold-out to the tyrant so we, the people, could not get rid of Mugabe in a free, fair and credible elections, MDC-T are now telling the nation they will remove Mugabe. They are asking him to resign, not for ruining the national or for murdering so many innocent people, for using foul language!

How can SADC and the rest of the world ever take Zimbabweans to be serious about end Zanu PF tyrannical rule when we keep following the very people how sold-out, wasting the nation’s best chance ever to end the Mugabe dictatorship, and are now clowning around issuing stupid statements. MDC supporters who keep following Tsvangirai are not doing the nation any favours this shows Zimbabweans are not yet serious about democratic change in Zimbabwe.

"The group's spokesperson and ex-Zanu PF secretary for publicity Rugare Gumbo said people have a democratic right to organise themselves and they cannot deny them that"

Does Gumbo believe the freedom of association should not be denied to him and his ex-Zanu PF cronies only or to everyone? Until his expulsion from Zanu PF, he knew Mugabe was systematically denying, including the use of brute force, that freedom to everyone else and he has never objected!

Mr Gumbo you only believe is democracy, freedom and justice when you are the victim of oppression but once in power you have shown that you will disregard all these niceties for selfish political gain. You are wasting your time because the people of Zimbabwe will never trust a snake like you ever again! We are fighting for democratic change and not to replace one snake with another!

"It is now emerging, rather crudely though, that the Zanu-PF chaotic land reform was never genuine nor about redressing past colonial imbalances, but a shameful vote buying, patronage jamboree meant to prop up the regime's waning fortunes," said Gutu.

It has "now emerge"? You mean MDC did not pick this up until NOW! Moses Chamboko of ZUNDE raised this issue and you are nothing but a copy-cat.

When the people expressed their outrage at Mugabe's gaff about "uneducated" Kalangas MDC jumped on the bandwagon making the usual stupid "Mugabe must resign" demands!

MDC sold-out during the GNU when you lot failed to implement even one reform because you had taken Mugabe's bribes to ignore reforms.

"Mazivanhu eMDC adzidza kudya anyerere!" (MDC people have learnt to enjoy the gravy train life and not rock the boat!) Was the pithy boastful explanation from Mugabe's cronies to the public concern inquiry of why MDC was doing nothing about the reform!

In failing to implement the reforms MDC leaders proved that you lot are corrupt and breathtakingly incompetent. In a healthy and functioning democracy public figure are forced to apologize and then resign for an act of indiscretion like lying. You sold-out and you will not apologize or resign but, worse still, you even have the chic to seek to be re-elected! I will be damned if I should ever allow that to happen!

All the people in Zimbabwe must know how MDC betrayed the nation during the GNU and if they still want you lot as leaders until this time it would be an informed choice and not the usual MDC wildebeest herd following blindly!

I agree that MDC's demands for Mugabe to resign have become as predictable as the sun rise but because the demand is from MDC they are calling for the sun to rise from the WEST!

Of the July 2013 elections were rigged and SADC saw that. Still they had no choice but to accept the result since MDC had failed to implement the reforms which would have stopped Mugabe rigging the elections.

SADC tried to stop MDC taking part in the elections with no reforms but that herd of MDC wildebeest would not listen. Luke Tamborenyoka, MDC Director of Communications, has since admitted it was MDC "folly" not to have heeded the SADC warning.

SADC knew the elections would be rigged but there was nothing else they could do to stop the elections after MDC refused to listen to their warning. Botswana refused to accept the elections as free and fair and said so.

So to claim Mugabe won free, fair and credible elections is a lie! Stop lying!

@ Nick Mangwana

This is unlike you! You have always praised to the high heavens everything Mugabe has done. Are you really criticizing the regime for failing to accept the changes allowing dual citizenship.

Are you criticizing the regime in preparation to your coming out of the closet and declaring you are a Zanu PF People First member or is this because you are now seeking to claim asylum? Poor Nick the implosion in Zanu PF has left you exposed and confused!

@ Native

Mugabe and his ZanuPF thugs are corrupt and murderous tyrants but it took the nation 15 to 20 years before the people accepted that reality. One would have thought the people would elect future leaders with greater care but nothing of the sort. They went on to elect MDC leaders have since proven to be corrupt and incompetent.

History is a tough and unforgiving task master; those who will not learn from the past will repeat the same stupid mistake again and again until they learn!

If we are going to have a competent government that will take us out of this hell-hole Mugabe landed us in then we must elect competent leaders. An electorate that has, at best, a superficial understanding of the national issues will, per se, never distinguish a competent leader from the conman promising them 2.2 million new jobs but deliver more job loses and economic hell!

I do apologize for the use of very strong language.

I do not agree with you that all Zimbabweans understand that MDC sold-out and the seriousness of that act. Most people still do not have a clue what happened.

The few people who have since the elections grudging accepted that MDC should have implemented the reforms have failed to comprehend the seriousness of the MDC's failure. You are clearly one of them. If they had comprehended the seriousness of that failure then they would know MDC leaders are corrupt, incompetent and sell-outs. No one in their right mind would still one someone like that to still be leading them.

As long as we have electorate that does not understand what the reforms are about, I believe at least 80% do not, and 15% out of the 20% who do understand the reforms do not comprehend the critical importance of having competent leaders; the nation is clearly not going to get out of this hell.

The challenge is not to form more political parties competing for the vote of this electorate that has no clue what is happening. The challenge is to make sure we turn this wildebeest herd into a thinking electorate. That is what the Zimbabwe Social Democrats and ZUNDE have been trying to do. I am a member of the former but support the latter's efforts because we share a common platform.

President Robert Mugabe is more popular than his divided ZANU (PF) party, a report by a respected political and economic think tank, Mass Public Opinion Institute has revealed.
The survey which was done countrywide last November and whose results were published to the pub-lic on Tuesday rated Mugabe’s popularity at 63% ahead of his ZANU (PF) party (62%).
Before the July 2013 elections Mugabe paid millions of dollars to PR companied to spruce up his image to falsify his popularity rating. If Mugabe was as popular as these people would want us to believe then he should implement all the democratic reforms and hold free and fair elections!

The High Court has upheld an application by former legislator for Hurungwe West Temba Mliswa seeking the eviction of Zanu PF thugs who had occupied his Karoi Spring Farm, a restaurant, a ser-vice station and lodge.
Mliswa approached the High Court on an urgent basis last Thursday seeking the eviction of the thugs cited as Nigel Murambiwa, Chinjayi Kambuzuma, Tapiwa Masenda and Silas Chimbiri who forcibly occupied his properties last Wednesday.
Now that these Zanu PF thugs are on his case, they are not going to give up until they force him of the farm; Mliswa should know that as a former Zanu PF thug himself. These thugs have no respect of other people’s rights or what the High Court orders; they never did, they are above the law!

What goes round, comes round; Mliswa is having a taste of some of the thuggery he had dished out to others so readily for all these years! It is rough justice but justice nonetheless.

Mutasa criticize Ministers Chombo and Chimene for trying to seize Mliswa and his farms respec-tively.

What most Zimbabweans find annoying with all this nonsense coming from the former Zanu PF leaders like Mutasa, Gumbo, Makoni, Dabengwa, etc. is their pretence that everything was fine in Zimbabwe until the day they were kick out / left Zanu PF.

Zanu PF has always been a party of ruthless thugs who did not care about the rights and free-dom of the ordinary people who the crashed under foot like bugs! Just because they are now at the receiving end of the thuggery that does not mean it has not been happening.

People like Mutasa think by talking against the Zanu PF thuggery against them is enough to make them part of povo and win the people's trust. They are looking at re-launching their stalled political careers so they can continue from where they left off when they fallout with Mugabe! Dream on Mutasa, dream on because that is one dream that is not going to happen!

If you see a frog hopping like mad in the midday heat, you can be sure something is after it! Nick Mangwana would not risk annoying his Zanu PF handlers, he must be after something!

@ Nyati

I agree, we have to accept the SA government and people have the right to control the inflow of people into their country! Those who say otherwise are not being realistic!

It is a great pity that people are being deported back to Zimbabwe to face economic hardships and political harassment! What is so disappointing is that we have sat on this problem of bad governance for 35 years and now we are all paying dearly for it.

@ Peter

You started very well but fell flat on your face when you came to "I agree with the western donors that Morgan Tsvangirai should unite with not only Joyce Mujuru, but with other progressive forces that have the same objective-toppling the Mugabe illegal regime and lead Zimbabwe back to prosperity".

Since when was Tsvangirai 's objective to topple Mugabe? Tsvangirai has had many opportunities to end the Zanu PF dictatorship in the last 15 years but the best chance by far was during the GNU when all he had to do was implement the democratic reforms agreed in the 2008 GPA.

SADC and others did they best to remind Tsvangirai about implementing the reforms and he ignored the warnings. He failed to implement even one reform.

Mugabe bribed Tsvangirai and his MDC friend with the gravy train lifestyle plus a $4 million mansion for Tsvangirai and they kicked all reforms into the tall grass. Of course Tsvangirai and his MDC friends "sold-out", as Mukanya Thomas Mapfumo has right said.

Tsvangirai has already come up with a watered down list of reforms he is asking Zanu PF to implement for him to take part in future elections. Those reforms will not "topple" Zanu PF. Zanu PF will still rig the elections but as long as the MDC has taken part they will have legitimacy. Zanu PF will reward Tsvangirai with a few seats for his part in giving the regime legitimacy just as he did in 2013.

No serious intellectual, unless he/she has a hidden agenda, would still believe Tsvangirai will ever topple Mugabe and end the Zanu PF dictatorship.

As for Joice Mujuru; since when has she been a democrat? She was itching to takeover from Mugabe, yes; but that does not make her a democrat? Mujuru has been part and parcel of the repressive regime for 34 years and she has sat there like a cabbage and never once said or done anything to stop the corruption and tyranny. Indeed she has been very busy looting herself!

Now that Mugabe has kicked her out of Zanu PF, Mai Mujuru is an angel! The sheer stupidity of the argument is mind boggling.

@ Ngwenya

Tsvangirai may have had 90% of the people behind him before the July 2013 elections but he has lost many supporters since. He promised the people the elections would be free and fair, they were not. As more and more people have learnt that it was MDC's failure to implement the reforms they have walked away.

Mugabe bribed MDC leaders to do nothing on the reforms and for the five years of the GNU MDC kicked reforms into the tall grass. Of course MDC "sold-out" as Mukanya Thomas Mapfumo has rightly said. Zimbabweans are slow to learn but as more and more people learn that MDC are sell-outs they will desert MDC in droves just as SADC and donors did after the July 2013 rigged elections.

In a video circulating on social media, Chombo is seen addressing Hurungwe West headmen and warning them that they should not associate with independent candidate Temba Mliswa.

The minister says he has put up mechanisms to monitor Mliswa's movements ahead of the by-election slated for June 10.

Chombo also said he is assigning assistants to each of the headmen to ensure that they do not communicate with Mliswa until after the by-election.

None of the eight electoral reforms put forward by MDC-T would stop the activities Chombo is taking about here!

In their desperate bid to get back into power, be it by getting the few seat Zanu PF will allow MDC to win, MDC people are selling-out again by presenting watered down reforms instead of insisting on the full original democratic reforms agreed in the 2008 GPA. The people of Zimbabwe must not allow Tsvangirai to sell them out to Zanu PF again.

@ Msiyamwa

You have thought carefully about the subject, I will give you that. Still you have missed something.

Tsvangirai and his MDC friends wasted the best chance the nation ever had to end the Zanu PF dictatorship peacefully by failing to implement the democratic reforms. SADC and others warned them on the need to implement the reforms and they had five years to do so. They failed implement even one reform. Not one!

MUgabe bribed Tsvangirai and his friends to kick the reforms into the tall grass and that is what they did. As Mukanya Thomas Mapfumo has rightly said MDC "sold-out"!

For anyone to still consider sell-out as serious national leaders shows they are not thinking straight! What else do these sell-outs have to do to force these people to finally open their eyes!

@ Nhamodzenyika

The tragedy here is that many people in the past have relied on those at work in the mines or towns to help them buy food at such difficult times but now with unemployment at 90% they are no wage earners in most families.

The food shortage is man-made in that we have had food shortages ever since the Zanu PF farm invasions in 2000. The unemployment too is man-made in that it is the consequence of three and half decades of mismanagement and corruption, again by Zanu PF. We the people have played our part in this by letting the madness continue for all these years.

But Zimbabwean government officials met Western ambassadors and representatives from the International Monetary Fund, World Bank and African Development Bank (AfDB) on Wednesday in Harare to discuss direct budgetary support.

Ever since Mugabe launched his 2013 election manifesto with its ZimAsset as the centre piece, he has since struggled to get any donors to bankroll the plan. After nearly two years of begging he has failed to get no more than $7 billion in promissory project funding. Both the Chinese and Russians have promised funding but have yet to spend a cent.

What Mugabe really wanted was budgetary support but failed to get even a penny.

Zimbabwe is one of a few developing countries that funds its budget entirely from taxes because it does not qualify for international credit due to a foreign debt of $9 billion.

Zanu PF is not going to get a cent in budgetary support from EU or anyone and so the Zimbabwe economy will continue to sink into the abyss!

Mumbengegwi also appreciated the role played by China in opposing the imposition of sanc-tions at the United Nations Security Council in 2008, adding that without such support Zim-babwe would have imploded a long time ago.

“China stood with us at the United Nations Security Council in July 2008.Without that veto many of us would not be sitting here with you today,” he said.

More than a decade ago, Harare shifted to the east, in a program code named the Look East policy after the West had imposed sanctions on the Southern African country on grounds of human rights abuses.

China has given Zimbabwe $4 billion for power projects funding but has yet to spend a dollar of that. As for the budgetary support Zimbabwe needs, China has flatly refused to contribute even a single dollar because Zimbabwe is a "bad debtor"

The Zimbabwe economy is in total meltdown and the situation will only get worse and not better until the Zanu PF regime resign!
