Corruption has been so rampant Mugabe must not keep the Blue Roof mansion or Tsvangirai the Highlands mansion!

“In April National Pharmaceutical Company Managing Director, Florah Sifeku, revealed that government last bought drugs in 2008 during the Zim dollar era. Sifeku said 98 % of the medicines in public health institutions were supplied by donors and only 2%, mostly ARVs, by the National Aids Council,” reported S W Radio Africa.

So the nation has no money to buy something as basic as medicine for millions of our people and for decades have had to depend on donor generosity and yet we have been splashing $1 million on Mugabe’s birthday, $ 5 million of his daughter’s wedding, $ 5 million of two bronze statutes of Mugabe himself, $ 3 million plus each for the eight times a year Mugabe has been going to Singapore for an eye check-up, to say nothing of the billions he and his wife have spent on all manner of luxuries including the $20 million Blue Roof mansion. This is just looking at Mugabe alone and not those behind him.

Mai Mujuru is believed to have a fortune of $3 billion. Then there is an army of the so called small fish, like Philip Chiyangwa, Minister Chombo and Minister Obert Mpofu whose individual amassed wealth is counted in hundreds of millions of dollars. Even the MDC leaders are in on the looting!

Former Prime Minister Dr Morgan Tsvangirai is refusing to leave the $4 million Highlands mansion he was given during the GNU years; he has attached himself to it like a barnacle to a rock. Other MDC leaders have publicly condemned the chaotic seizure of white owned farms but gladly accepted a looted farm as a bribe to stop them implementing the democratic reforms or otherwise rocking the gravy train.

When millions of lives are put at grave risk whilst the ruling elite are spending the nation’s wealth on luxuries this nation need to express it disapproval in a pronounced and tangible way. All looted wealth must be recovered from the ruling elite and their descendants and use to rebuild the nation’s shuttered economy and the lives of the millions forced to live in abject poverty and without hope all these years.

This nation must have a serious cleansing process where the obscene wealth looted from the poor is returned to the rightful owners, the masses.

After all he has done to this country, Mugabe or his family do not deserve to keep the Blue Roof mansion and all the other looted wealth. No more than Tsvangirai deserves to keep the Highlands mansion, his bribe price for not implementing the reforms that would have stopped Mugabe rigging the July 2013 elections!

Mugabe must go and the only man who has helped Mugabe stay all these years is Tsvangirai!

If you go hunting and have failed to catch the hare, you should be smart enough to realise that you need a better dog and not one that has been outwitted and outrun by the hare time and time again!

@ Tawanda Majoni

You are right Tawanda, our political leaders have trivialised the many national problems by dwelling on their bed-room stories. In a way it is to be expected since chasing women of ill repute is all they have ever done!

Seriously, what else has Tsvangirai ever done, other than chase women. Mugabe saw to it that as PM Tsvangirai had no real power in the GNU as all Zanu PF ministers and civil servants were under strict instructions to ignore him! The man has so much free time you would think he would have at least one reform implemented. He did not; he was simply too busy chasing women.

Mugabe has spent the last decades planning and scheming one evil after another, I will bet you he has had a hand in all the looting and murders that have been going on in Zimbabwe for the last 34 years. The only man who has taken on the cunning old fox and beat him at his scheming in Minister Jonathan Moyo. He hatched some really dirty vote rigging plans for the tyrant which have help him stay in power but at a price - Moyo is now using the detailed knowledge of the vote rigging plans to blackmail Mugabe.

With so much dirty against Mugabe only Luke Tamborenyoka would be so stupid to dwell on the tyrant's love affair with his then secretary. But it is to be expected of MDC.

What I find disappointing here is that so many Zimbabweans should trust Tsvangirai and his MDC friends to get the nation out of this mess. Zanu PF has outwitted MDC again and again yet the people still believe the incompetent MDC leaders will deliver change. Some people are slow learners but at least they learn; the facts on the ground show that many Zimbabweans are, sadly, incapable of learning!

@ Gibson Nkomo

So if there was no chance of doing anything to ensure the next elections were free, fair and credible then what was the purpose of going into the GNU?

I told you implementing the reforms was the nation's get out of jail card but as we have seen it was a pretty useless card if those entrusted to use it are too corrupt and incompetent to use it. It did not help that the millions of ordinary Zimbabweans behind MDC were and still are a confused lot; they could not force MDC to use the card because they do not know of the true value of the GPA.

It is not me who is making a fool of myself but people like you who, even with the benefit of hindsight, still fail to see Tsvangirai for the blundering incompetent leader he is.

I have to learn to live with the fact that someone as incompetent as Tsvangirai still remains the opposition leader in Zimbabwe; that is bitter reality I will find real hard to bear. But that is nothing compared with what the nation have to learn to live with - the economic hardships and political despair because Tsvangirai failed to end the Zanu PF dictatorship when he had all the chances to do so.

As for you and millions out there like you, you do not have to learn anything; you are an idiot and per se incapable of any mental feat as thinking or learning. Blessed are the idiots for, although they will suffer greatly for their folly and foolishness, they are so intellectually challenged that they will always remain blissfully unaware that they are their own worst enemy.

“THE unusual step by the police to summon Information minister Jonathan Moyo for questioning over the Baba Jukwa saga could be the clearest indication yet that President Robert Mugabe is ready to sacrifice the Zanu PF strategist.” This is very true but still we should not forget WHO Jonathan Moyo IS!

Professor Moyo is not just you run of the mill strategist, he is the strategist of strategists, king of kings. He did not only mastermind the vote rigging of the elections but deliberately wove into the scheme weakness that would make Mugabe and the rest of in Zanu PF monkeys be beholden to him.

Moyo would have been smart enough to see the serious shortcomings in Nikuv’s voters roll tempering from the onset, for example, but deliberately allowed the Jews to carry out their plan. Indeed he might even have pointed out the shortcomings to Nikuv in return for him being allowed to have even more inside information of Nikuv’s dealings.

There is no way Mugabe would have agreed to the Nikuv dirty tricks if he had known up front the dirty tricks would be so obvious to see. This was brought to his attention when it was too late to stop the plan and the compromised and highly suspect decision not to release the voters roll was then taken. Of course that was highly irregular and left him exposed to public ridicule and, worse still, blackmail.

If anyone knows the exact details of the rigged July 2013 elections, it is Professor Moyo. Like the master strategist that he is, he has taken the precaution of posting the details somewhere safe with the strict instructions that the details must be released if anything was to happen to him. He has also taken the added precaution of making sure Mugabe knows of the information he has and what will trigger its public release.

Yes the Police can interview Professor Moyo over the Baba Jukwa affair and ask an questions they pleased; Moyo knows that he does not have to answer them. Mugabe will be most displeased that Moyo is doing as he pleases by he is helpless to do little else than denounce him as the “devil incarnate!”

@ Hamisi

The economic hardships and political repression have been a lot worse in Sub-Sahara Africa than there have been in those countries that had a Arab Spring!

There was a notable shift in the people's self-awareness and demand not to be taken for granted in the countries were the Arab Spring happened. When the Tunisian street vendor, Mohamed Bouazizi, took his own life in sheer frustration at how he was being treated like garbage he was telling his tormentors that he was not garbage.

In Sub-Sahara Africa leaders treat the ordinary people as the scum of the earth and the later take it as their just due. People like that bury their heads in self-pity and never protest!
