Chinamasa tell Zimbabwe’s
foreign diplomats that MDC never produced any proposed reforms for the GNU to
consider.
“Last week in our meeting
with the (SADC) facilitation team, I invited the (MDCs) to send their proposals
(regarding POSA) to me, but up to now I have not received any,” Chinamasa said.
“With AIPPA, it is the same situation; last week I asked all concerned that let
me have (their) proposals and up to now I have not received any.
“If we come to the
so-called security sector reforms, once again those reforms they were talking
about were negotiated and are now part of the Constitution.”
MDC have had five years
to come up with their proposed democratic reforms and in all those years they
have failed to come up with anything. Minister Chinamasa is not telling any of
these foreign diplomats or the nation at large anything the world did not
already know. We all know MDC is breathtakingly incompetent. Chinamasa is just
rubbing it in.
On the eve of the elections Zanu PF is reminding the world just how
incompetent MDC is and not to back the losing horse in the race!

This is like listening to a badly scratched record repeating the same line over and over again "not a problem at all, as long as partisan security goons are removed". But that is exactly what Chinamasa is saying here; MDC failed to come up with any proposals to have these goons removed and so they are not going to be REMOVED!

What security sector reforms were included in the constitution?

The nation is in this mess because Tsvangirai, Ncube, etc. failed to implement the reforms. These guys have proven to be so incompetent they failed to get even one reform implemented. What else do you want them to do to prove they are useless.
"Bury their difference!" What difference! They have no differences but have plenty in common - they are incompetent! INCOMPETENT!
Oh dear! Dzakatamba navana. The brain can still perform some basic functions but little else. Even now five years latter, still has not realized not even one reform was implemented!

It is bad enough that MDC betrayed the nation it is shocking that the people themselves have been in slumberland they did not notice. They will be overwhelmed by the violence in the coming weeks and still they will not notice! In electoral terms this is the equivalent of firing a shot gun right in the face of a sloth and all it does is blink a few times and goes back to sleep!
Is it an wonder MDC are not even bothered about their betrayal; they know many Zimbabweans will never notice. And of course they are right!

That is what is so amazing about people like, you do not have the foggiest idea what the reforms were about do you.
The democratic reforms were meant to dismantle the Zanu PF dictatorship brick by brick and build democratic institutions like the Police, judiciary, etc. Why would Mugabe want to dismantle the dictatorship that has kept him in power all these years?
The Diplomats know just how incompetent Tsvangirai and MDC are and that they will never achieve anything. The Diplomats would have met Tsvangirai and many of his supporters just like you and listen to the same stupid nonsense as you have just said. If you think these Diplomats will buy this nonsense then you have a lot to learn.
Whilst many foreigners would want to see a democratic Zimbabwe, they are smart enough to know MDC will never bring about that Zimbabwe.

I agree with that, no SADC country want to see more political chaos in Zimbabwe. To be fair to SADC they did encourage MDC to get the reforms implemented but MDC paid no heed. SADC and the world at large were shocked when Tsvangirai and MDC accepted the Copac rubbish dictated by Mugabe. SADC leaders like President Ian Khama of Botswana even took the unusual diplomatic steps and warned the people of Zimbabwe about accepting Copac because it was "not changing anything on the ground". Come the referendum the people accepted the rubbish by a staggering 95%.
There was some vote rigging as Minister Biti latter acknowledge, a 10 to 15% inflation of the numbers - Mugabe just wanted to be sure of a yes vote. Still this was accepted by all to be a peaceful vote and therefore a true reflection of the will of the people of Zimbabwe.
MDC, representing the forces of democratic change in the GNU, did not want any reforms to be implemented and not one was implemented. The people of Zimbabwe disregarding the warning about the rubbish Copac constitution came up and overwhelmingly endorse it. If this is what the people of Zimbabwe wanted then there really was nothing SADC or anyone else can do about it!
SADC do not want to see chaos in Zimbabwe but if that is exactly what the people of Zimbabwe then that is what they will have. And we will have the repeat of the chaotic elections of 2008!
