Sympathy for Mujuru is the Zimbabwe syndrome of victims of tyranny pining for the tyrants!

The out pouring of sympathy by ordinary Zimbabweans for what Mugabe and Mnangagwa are doing to VP Mujuru, Rugare Gumbo and many others in her faction is totally misplaced in that it fails see her and her supporters as an integral party of the Zanu PF dictatorship that has landed us, the ordinary people, into this hell-hole. We are the victims of the dictatorship who have suffered broken careers, broken limbs, broken lives and many paid the ultimate price of lost lives. Over 30 000 have been murdered by the regime for selfish political gain.

The harassment of Zanu PF provincial chairmen out of office, the firing of Jabulani Sibanda out of the party, suspension of Rugare Gumbo from the party for five years and the coup de grace to be delivered to VP Mujuru at the party congress to all these erstwhile Zanu PF members in nothing but a mosquito bite compared to broken limb or lost we, the ordinary Zimbabweans have suffered. Indeed Mai Mujuru and others are getting a taste of their own medicine and we are the innocent victims.

It is nonsensical and demeaning that we should be moved to tears over Gumbo and Mujuru’s mosquito bites when they have been totally indifferent and irreverent to us whose limbs and lives they broke.

VP Mujuru, for example, was not elected VP to “WAU!” the cabinet meetings with her looks (not that she is so much to look at) but to serve the people and nation from the corruption and oppression that have become the hallmarks of this Zanu PF dictatorship. If anything she has led the corruption from the front!

So those feeling sorry for her political demise are sorry that she not be able to continue with her corruption and looting. The same people have had very little sympathy for the 2 million Zimbabweans now living in abject poverty or the 30 000 the regime has murdered. I have heard of the Stockholm syndrome but this takes the biscuit!

“Stockholm syndrome, or capture-bonding, is a psychological phenomenon in which hostages express empathy and sympathy and have positive feelings toward their captors, sometimes to the point of defending and identifying with them,” according to Wikipedia.

This is something worse than Stockholm syndrome; this is the Zimbabwe syndrome in which the victim of corruption and ruthless oppression pine for the tyrant to remain in power so he/she can inflict even more pain and misery on them.

When Mugabe squandered $5 million on his daughter’s wedding many Zimbabweans were speechless with owe and pride. The country has had no clean running water in all the cities and towns right across the land for decade; but what of it. They were beaming with pride that the tyrant’s daughter was having a wedding befitting that of a Hollywood Superstar at the nation’s expense – a nation that could not afford something as basic as clean running water to millions of its people!

No doubt the day Mugabe dies the nation will go into deep morning lasting a month, at least; just like the Russians did when the tyrant Stalin died.

At the heart of the Zimbabwe syndrome is the people’s sub-zero low self-esteem. Deep down many Zimbabweans have never ever believed that they too would enjoy freedom, liberty, peace and all the human rights the nation was fight for in the war of independence. The people aspired for freedom, etc. and hoped for the best which a totally different matter. They never believed that Mugabe and his fellow nationalists would deliver freedom, liberty, mass prosperity and all the rest and so when indeed they did fail the people were disappointed but not surprised.

Deep down the people expected the liberation war heroes and heroines to betray them and they have never really protested about the betrayal because, deep down, they have never viewed themselves as worthy recipients of the freedom, liberty and all those things the nation had aspired for before independence.
Unless and until the people of Zimbabwe start seeing themselves as full members of the human race, not mere voiceless and helpless subjects of a tyrannical regime, and worthy of all the rights in UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights this nation will never ever get out of this hell-hole.

Mai Mujuru is not worthy our national sympathy, after all she is suffering are minor inconveniences at the hands of the Zanu PF monster she helped create. The real victims here are us whose limbs and lives the monster has broken for the last 34 years. All the nation’s tears and sorrow must be saved for the ordinary Zimbabweans at the coal face of the Zanu PF corruption and brutal repression and none for those who, until now, were part and parcel of the tyranny.

As long as the regime can rig elections then the ruling elite are assured of absolute power and the spoils of power.

The party has but a few of ordinary Zimbabweans who still support it freely; many only do so because they are paid bribes or else out of fear of being punished. The regime has learnt that by bussing people around it can maintain the pretence of popular support!

War vet supporting Grace Mugabe are threatening to take Kaukonde’s farm.

Kaukonde must know that his days on that farm are numbered, what ever Zanu PF thugs say they want they will take because they are a law unto themselves. Was that not the modus operandi, Mr Kaukonde you employed to take the same farm? For years you have cheered and applauded the lawlessness why are you not cheering today as before? Because you are the victim! Well tough s***t, you are only being paid by the same coin.

Wonderful start. My main comment will be that the tribal difference have made bigger than they are. The country's economy is in ruins, there is question about that one; it is natural to see others as having faired a lot better than oneself.

The tribal issue is one that could hold back the nation if not handled carefully. There many mediocre politicians out there who have little to offer and so will play the tribal card for all its worth.

What we need first and foremost is to get the electorate to understand what democracy is about and what democratic reforms we need to be implemented to turn the tyrannical dictatorship into a healthy and functional democracy. I mean really understand what democracy is as contrast to the MDC followers who spent hours chanting “Chinja! Chinja!” but did not have a clue what changes they wanted. Not even the MDC leaders themselves had a clue and that is why after five years in the GNU not even one reform was implemented.

Only an electorate that understand what is it we want to achieve in a democracy can force the politicians to implement ALL the reform.

The Zimbabwean people would have never allowed the nation to sink this deep all these year if they had been given the information to understand what was happening and a meaningful vote. A democratic system will give them both!

A healthy and functioning democracy is the ticket we need to get out of this hell-hole Mugabe and Zanu PF have dragged us into. Create a healthy and functioning democracy and the spirit of debate and competition will work its magic.

More pro-Mujuru Zanu PF officials have been booted out of office, the latest being John Shumba Mvundura, provincial chairman for Manicaland.

The ordinary members of Zanu PF expressed their democratic wishes by electing by voting all these pro-vincial officials but when push comes to shove only one man's vote counts and that is Mugabe's vote. We have seen it happen again and again in national elections so VP Mujuru and her supporters should not be surprise to see this happen. They have known Mugabe have but contempt for democracy and rule of law and could not have been that naive to think he would not resort to the same dirty tactics on them just be-cause they are Zanu PF members.

We started with "One-man one-vote!" before independence; soon after independence that was quickly changed to "One-man one-vote if it is a Zanu PF vote or else!" Gukurahundi let the nation in no doubt what the "or else" meant! Last year the regime had completely dispense with allowing the electorate to vote; it bussed in party thugs to vote for the electorate on behave of Mugabe giving a completely new meaning to a veto. So now what is written on our Animal Farm barn wall is "One-Mugabe one million-votes!"

@sound of blackness

Total humiliation but they deserve it! I bet you these two played major roles in last year's vote rigging by Mugabe and now Mugabe, the tyrant that he is, is thanking them by kicking them in the teeth.

Did you see the report of Grace's reprimand of Chinotimba after the latter had danced for her like a pos-sessed man she asked him why he was not happy! Chino must have spent the rest of the day grinning like a Cheshire cat.

Sibanda got his reward - booted out and now they will be back to boot him out of the farm, house, etc. Food for thought Chinos!

Elevate a mere mortal onto a pedestal above other mortals and they will lord over you as if they are gods and no one is more impossible to please than a pretentious demi-god. Mugabe has destroyed the country politically and economically and yet we are all expected to grovel to him and shower him with praise for his divinely inspired leadership!

Or Zimbabwe can just as easily become another Syria! We should not forget that Zimbabwe is one of the heavily armed nations in the world; we do not have enough food, no clean running water, etc. but by God we have enough bullets and bombs to kill everyone and reduce the whole country to rubble.

Mugabe, like many other tyrants, has always held his trump card to the nation - if he is not allowed to rule then he will make the country ungovernable - given half a chance, he will play his card!

Zanu PF is imploding but that does not mean we are out of the wood!

“ZIMBABWE IS NOT THE FIRST FAMILY’S PLAYGROUND. WHO WILL STOP THIS PET-TY,VINDICTIVE AND VENGEFUL LOT?” YOU ASK.

YOU HAVE ASKED A VERY GOOD QUESTION AND THE NATION MUST THINK CAREFULLY NOW BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE.

ZANU PF IS IMPLODING BUT THAT WILL NOT STOP MUGABE DRAGGING THIS NATION IN-TO THE NIGHTMARE THAT HAS BEFALLEN OTHER COUNTRIES LIKE SYRIA. MUGABE AL-WAYS HELD THIS TRUMP CARD TO THE NATION - IF HE IS NOT ALLOWED TO RULE THEN HE WILL MAKE THE COUNTRY UNGOVERNABLE. WE MUST NOT ALLOW HIM TO PLAY THIS CARD, WE MUST ALLOW ZANU PF TO IMPLODE AND SINK INTO THE ABYSS BUT NOT LET THE TYRANT DRAG THE NATION DOWN WITH IT.

WE, THE PEOPLE HAVE TO STOP, MUGABE PLAYING HIS TRUMP CARD AND WHAT BETTER WAY THAN BY KNOWING EXACTLY WHAT HE IS UP TO AND THUS REFUSE TO PLAY ALONG.

MUGABE IS SELLING THE ON-GOING PURGE IN HIS PARTY AS CLEANING EXERCISE TO WEED OUT CORRUPT LEADERS, SOMETHING THE WHOLE NATION HAS BEEN AGAINST ALL THESE YEARS.

WE SHOULD DENOUNCE THE CORRUPT LEADERS LIKE MAI MUJURU FOR BEING CORRUPT BUT ALSO FOR HAVING BEEN PART AND PARCEL OF THIS CORRUPT AND OPPRESSIVE DICTATORSHIP. THEY SHOULD NEVER THINK THAT ORDINARY ZIMBABWEANS WILL JOIN FORCES WITH THEM AND FIGHT MUGABE. NEVER!

WE SHOULD ALSO LET MUGABE AND THOSE AROUND HIM KNOW THAT THE ZANU PF PURGE DID NOT CLEAN THE NATION OF ALL THE CORRUPT LEADERS, THE JOB IS ONLY HALF DONE.

MUGABE SHOULD ALSO KNOW THAT HIS UNDEMOCRATIC METHODS OF SILENCING HIS OPPONENTS WITHIN THE PARTY IS A REPLAY OF WHAT HE HAS BEEN DOING AT NATIONAL LEVEL. WE ARE MORE DETERMINED THAN EVER THAT THIS NATION WILL BE RULED BY LAW AND NOT THE WHIM OF A DICTATOR!

@SELELE

ZIMBABWEANS SHOWED THAT THEY HAD BALL BY VOTING FOR MDC REGARDLESS OF THE INTIMIDATION, RAPES, BEATINGS, BROKEN RIBS AND EVEN MURDERS. SADLY THAT DID NOT BRING ABOUT ANY DEMOCRATIC CHANGES WE WERE ALL DYING FOR AS TSVANGIRAI AND HIS MDC WENT ON TO BETRAY THE NATION. THEY FAILED TO IMPLE-MENT EVEN ONE REFORM AFTER FIVE YEARS IN THE GNU BECAUSE THEY WERE EASILY CORRUPTED BY MUGABE AND ALSO BECAUSE THEY ARE BREATHTAKINGLY INCOMPETENT.

YES WE REQUIRE COURAGE BUT ABOVE ALL BRAINS. WE SHOULD NOT BLUNDER ALONG AS WE HAVE DONE SO MANY TIMES IN THE PAST. WE MUST LEARN FROM THE PAST AND BE CLEAR WHERE WE ARE, WHERE WE WANT TO GO AND HOW WE ARE TO GET THERE!

@bobsled

He still has a piles and piles of bullets, bombs, etc. If he cannot rule Zimbabwe he will want to make sure it is ungovernable by turning loose the thugs who still support him armed to the teeth with instruction of shot to kill!

Mugabe can turn Zimbabwe into another Syria and nothing would please him more than to see the country burn as punishment for not allowing him to die a great statesman of a prosperous nation. Of course he does not blame himself for the country's mess he will maintain to the end that it was the west in conjunction with the blacks who betrayed him.

Tyrants like Mugabe will never admit to doing anything wrong but will always blame others including the victims of their tyrannical rule.

Zimbabwe Light said...

@furious

You may as well ask what was the point of last year's elections when, with no reforms, it was clear Mugabe would rig the elections! The point is; Mugabe wanted to be sure of victory and the purge was necessary for him to be sure. And now that he is sure congress must go ahead and rubber-stamp his victory and give him the modicum of legitimacy.

@ buntboy

Well as long as Mujuru and her supporters confine their fighters to themselves and the fighting to the Mugabe faction and not suck any of us in. Mujuru and company have up to now been hunting with the hounds, hunting us the hares; now that they have been booted out of the Zanu PF dictatorship they should not pretend they can now run with the hares. The hares would be very foolish to trust these hounds, expelled from the main pack, not to turn on them at the earliest opportunity!

Sibanda was summarily expelled from the party even though he was never taken to a disciplinary panel or given an opportunity to defend himself, a development that one politburo member de-scribed as a "transgression of both natural and even Satanic justice".

What is laughable here is how people like Rugare Gumbo, Mujuru, Jabulani Sibanda and the rest had expected anything else other than “transgression of both natural and even Satanic jus-tice”! Since when has Mugabe ever cared about law, constitution and justice? Oh like all tyrants, he will make a big song and dance about the law, the constitution, justice, fair play, etc. but that is only to earn some brownie points for himself and mislead his opponents into a false sense of security for his surprise attached. We have seen Mugabe do this again and again throughout the years with Tsvangirai and MDC being his most recent victim.

Of all people Mujuru, Gumbo and Sibanda should know that Mugabe blatantly rigged last year’s elections; they were not involved in masterminding the plan or its execution, still they would have gleaned enough to know the vote was rigged. They have never ever lifted a finger in protest against all Mugabe’s electoral transgression, not a word; not until now because, for once, they are the victims!

For years people like Mujuru, Gumbo and Sibanda has terrorised us whilst they were part and parcel of the Zanu PF tyrannical regime! Today they have been kicked out of the gang they must not expect any sympathy from us! We are only too glad to see justice is being served; it is an affirmation that there is a God who cares about the weak and oppressed.

I FIND IT DIFFICULT TO FEEL SORRY FOR SOME OF THE PEOPLE LIKE DR SIMBA MAKONI WHO HAVE WORKED WITH MUGABE FOR DONKEY YEARS AND HAD EVERY OPPORTUNITY TO END THIS MADNESS BUT CHOSE NOT TO BECAUSE THEIR BENEFITED FROM IT TOO. ZIMBABWE HAD EVERY CHANCE TO DISMANTLE THE ZANU PF DICTATORSHIP DURING THE GNU BUT DID NOT DO SO BECAUSE TSVANGIRAI AND HIS MDC FRIENDS WERE ON THE GRAVY TRAIN AND DID NOT WANT TO MAKE A FUSS.

WE SHOULD NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE OF BLAMING ALL THE NAZI DID ON ADOLF HITLER; IT IS TOO SIMPLISTIC BECAUSE THERE WAS NO WAY HE WOULD HAVE LASTED THE DAY WITHOUT THE MILLIONS OF GERMANS WHO DIRECT OR INDIRECTLY COOPERATED WITH HIM AND HIS REGIME. MUGABE IS NO DIFFERENT. THE MUJURUS, GUM-BOS OF THIS WORLD ARE BUT COLLABORATORS IN HIS WAR OF TERROR ON THE NATION; TO FEEL SORRY FOR THEM IS TO FAIL TO SEE THOSE AROUND MUGABE FOR THE SELFISH BASTARDS THEY ARE.

TYRANTS LIKE MUGABE HAD GONE ON TO DO SO MUCH EVIL FOR YEARS BECAUSE SOME PEOPLE SIMPLY REFUSED TO SEE HIM FOR THE CORRUPT AND MURDEROUS TYRANT HE IS PREFERRING TO HANG ON TO THE LIBERATION HERO THEY DESPERATELY WANTED HIM TO BE.

MAI ON MAI, THERE IS NOTHING LIKE TROUBLE TO MAKE SOME PEOPLE REMEMBER THEIR DUTY TO OTHERS, THE LAWS OF THE LANDS AND GOD'S LAWS AND TO MAKE THEM SWEAR TO SERVE OTHERS AND KEEP ALL THE COMMANDMENTS.

MADAM, MILLIONS OF ZIMBABWEANS ARE LIVING IN ABJECT POVERTY WITHOUT HOPE BECAUSE OF THE DECADES OF MISRULE AND CORRUPTION. OVER 30 000 ZIMBABWEANS HAVE BEEN MURDERED FOR ZANU PF'S SELFISH POLITICAL GAIN. THESE THINGS HAP-PENED DURING YOUR WATCH. LAST YEAR IN NOVEMBER YOU PUBLICLY DENIED THERE WAS NO CORRUPTION AND ACCUSED THOSE WHO HAD UNCOVERED THE PSMAS CUTH-BERT DUBE CASH SCANDAL OF HAVING A REGIME CHANGE AGENDA. YOU INSULTED THE NATION'S COLLECTIVE INTELLIGENCE.

YOU ARE SUING, NOT BECAUSE YOU ARE INNOCENT OF CORRUPTION AND ALL THE OTHER CHARGES MADE AGAINST YOU BUT BECAUSE THOSE ACCUSING WILL NOT DARE LET THE CASE BE HEARD IN A COURT OF LAW FOR FEAR WHAT WILL BE SAID WILL IN-CRIMINATE NOT JUST YOU BUT THEM TOO!

THE PEOPLE OF ZIMBABWE HAVE BEEN DYING TO SEE CORRUPTION DEALT WITH AND THUS RELISH THE PROSPECT OF ALL THOSE RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS CRIME AND OTHER CRIMES AGAINST THE NATION BROUGHT TO BOOK. IF THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN NOW, YOU CAN BE REST ASSURED THAT IT WILL HAPPEN SOME DAY SOON. THERE IS NOT ONE RIGHT THINKING ZIMBABWEAN OUT THERE WHO BELIEVES THAT YOU, VP MUJURU, SERVED THE NATION WELL WHILST IN OFFICE OR THAT YOU ARE NOT CORRUPT! NOT ONE!

Remain in Zanu PF and MP only to save herself from being bully further; that is all. What about her rank and file supporters out there who are already in hiding but know they will be flashed out and be torn apart? They are now to face the music alone. Let this be a lesson to all those Zanu PF thugs; the rule of law is important for all of us.

Whilst you were members of Zanu PF you disregarded the law and placed yourself above the law. Today your former party thugs are hunting you down and there is no law to protect you. You destroyed the rule of law.

What are you talking about? The people accusing Mai Mujuru are as corrupt and lawless as her but that does not make her squeaky clean! Indeed she still insists that she is not corrupt and that she was elected by the people. How did she make her fortune when everyone else is poor? Zanu PF rigged last year's elec-tions, was Bindura the only area where there was no bussed in voters, etc.??

Mai Mujuru is corrupt and she is as much part of this Zanu PF gang of corrupt, vote rigging and murderous dictatorship as Mugabe and others.

Return! Return where? No wonder the country is in a mess, you already thinking of recycling this corrupt and useless idiot! She is finished and good riddance!

Zimbabweans are so narrow minded which is way we end electing the same failed leaders like Tsvangirai, Simba Makoni, Dabengwa, Biti, etc.; regardless of their checked history of failure and betrayal. We always think inside the box tyrants like Mugabe place us in. We really need to think outside the box if we are ever to get out of this hell-hole.

Here is Mai Mujuru, she is as thick as a brick, she is corrupt and she has done absolutely nothing to stop Zanu PF become the monster it is. She is booted out of the party by her fellow party thugs and WAALA she is now wiser than King Solomon (I am not talking about her late husband, he had no brains for anything other than to loot) and as pure of heart and mind as Saint Paul. She is presidential material! How naive and myopic is that!?

THIS WHOLE ARTICLE IS NOT HELPING IN ANY WAY UNITY THE COUNTRY AND PEOPLE BECAUSE ALL IT IS DOES IS THROW NEW FUEL TO INFLAME THE TRIBAL MISTRUST.

MUGABE IS A CORRUPT AND MURDEROUS TYRANT AND THE GUKURAHUNDI MASSACRE WAS NOT SOMETHING ALL THE SHONAS PLANNED LET ALONE BENEFIT FROM.

THE WHOLE COUNTRY IS IN A MESS TODAY BECAUSE OF THE YEARS OF MISRULE BY ZANU PF WHICH INCLUDES THE FORMER PF ZAPU SINCE THE UNITY ACCORDS BETWEEN THE TWO PARTIES. WE MUST DISMISS WITH CONTEMPT THE TENDANCY BY SOME EX-PF ZAPU LEADERS LIKE DABENGWA TO PRETEND THEY PLAYED NO ROLE IN THE DESTRUC-TION AND SUFFERING MUGABE AND ZANU PF HAS BROUGHT TO OUR COUNTRY.

THOSE WHO WANT TO BLAME THE SHONAS FOR MUGABE AND ZANU PF’S RUINOUS RULE ARE AS MISCHIEVOUS AS THOSE WHO BLAME MALAWIANS FOR THE COUNTRY’S MESS BECAUSE MUGABE’S FATHER WAS FROM MALAWI. WE ARE NOT GOING TO GET OUT OF THIS HELL-HOLE IF WE ARE GOING TO FOCUS ON WHERE THE PERSON COMES FROM WHEN WE SHOULD FOCUS OF WHAT HE/SHE IS SAYING.

ALL YOU TALKED ABOUT HERE IS INDIVIDUALS AND IF THEY CAME FROM ONE TRIBE THEY DID NOTHING WRONG AND IF THEY CAME FROM ANOTHER TRIBE EVERYTHING THE DID WAS WRONG! WHY DID YOU BOTHERED TALK OF TRIBAL UNITY WHEN THAT IS CLEARLY THE LAST THING ON YOUR MIND?

@Rachel Nyaradzo Adams

In the movie Lincoln, the character Lincoln talked of how the British consider the American as uncouth in the usual very patronising way (which rings bells of familiarity to many Africans). In the movie the American Ambassador turned the uncouth jab on its head.

The story goes that the British had a portrait of US First President George Washington hanging on the wall in the toilet. The American Ambassador saw the portrait but said nothing. His British host could not resist asking if his guest had seen the portrait and if he thought it was appropriately place. The Ambassador confirmed that he had seen the portrait and, yes, it was appropriately placed.

“What the likeness of George Washington, appropriately placed in a toilet!” remark the British host!

“Yes!” came the reply, quick as a whip. “Where it will do a lot of good! Everyone knows there is nothing the sight of George Washington to make the Englishman shit faster!”

I would not want to even start speculating where it would end if a portrait of Mugabe was to be so placed – Mugabe will rant and rave until the cows come home.

The Americans did much more than have a smart put-down remark to the uncouth British, they went on to build the most vibrant, success, free and creative democracy in human history!

Tyrants like Mugabe have not only failed to hang on to whatever the nation inherited from the whites at independence but have gone on to institute a system of government worse in every way from the white colonial regime it replace. Mugabe has become the living proof of the white supremacists who said blacks are incapable of self-government.

Mugabe will go down in history as a corrupt tyrant with a sharp tongue but no brain!

Zimbabwe is in this mess because for decades we, the people, were too proud to admit it to ourselves that Mugabe was a ruthless tyrant. Instead of learning from our mistake we went headlong and elected Tsvangirai who has since proven beyond to be corrupt and breathtakingly incompetent. Many people have yet to notice Tsvangirai’s serious shortcomings.

So, sadly for Zimbabwe, not only do we have incompetent leaders but worse still we have an incompetent electorate simply incapable of learning from the experience of other nations like the US but from our own blunders too!

Zimbabwe Light said...

You are right. We fought the white colonialists, over 300 000 lives were lost in that struggle, so we can have freedom and human rights including the right to a meaningful vote. Since independence we have been fighting our own black "liberators" for the same freedoms and rights!

In the American civil war the whites in the south were fighting for their right to own slaves. In Zimbabwe we have a situation where some of the freed slaved sort to enslave other blacks and are arguing that if the whites could own slaves they do not see why they too cannot do the same.

Whilst the whites in the north fought to end the slavery of blacks. To enslave a fellow white person was unthinkable even for the deep south slave white owners. For a black enslaving another black is nothing and they even fight for it as a right, they will not come out right and admit that of course.

Mugabe has denied millions of Zimbabweans their right to a meaningful vote under the pretext that he is stopping regime change, for example. He will never admit it but what he is really saying is he has the right to deny other blacks the right to a meaningful vote because they are too stupid to enjoy such a right. His right is so important he is justified in killing to secure his right and he has done just that. Over 30 000 innocent Zimbabweans have been murdered to establish and secure Mugabe's de facto one party dictatorship.

More shocking still, thousands of Mugabe's fellow Zanu PF leaders have accepted this new right to enslave others by denying them their basic human rights and dignities and have enjoyed the benefits it has brought as a matter of cause.

Leaders like Rugare Gumbo and VP Mujuru are bitter that they have been deposed of their ruling elite status to enslave others. It is the low ranking members in the faction who will know and feel the full meaning of what it really means.

Zimbabwe Light said...

The Mugabe's fragrant disregard of the law and all human decency cannot and must not be tolerated and allowed to go unpunished!

In making the secret recording of Mai Mujuru in her own bedroom Grace Mugabe committed a serious crime.

In rigging elections, we now have official confirmation from the SA judges' report that the 2002 elections were not free and fair, Mugabe and Zanu PF committed treason.

Zimbabwe's seemingly intractable political and economic problems have their origins in the country's failure to have legitimate government. The solution, therefore to these problems, has to be in restoring the rule of law and the legitimacy of government through free, fair and credible elections!
