After 15 years of pretending farming was a great success, Nhema finally admit the Zanu PF cronies "are doing nothing on those farms"!

“If you do not make the best out of what you have, then how can we as a nation better the lives of our people? You were provided with the land, given equipment and inputs, but some of you are doing nothing on those farms,” said Minister Nhema.

The regime has poured billions of dollars in buying the equipment and inputs for these good-for-nothing farmers year after year for the last 15 years and yet year after years they have failed to produce anything. This was economically unsustainable and the chickens have finally come home to roost!

“You cannot even afford to grow the right crops suitable for your region. So what are we doing? Can we go anywhere like that?” Asked the Minister rhetorically! Of course there is nothing else to be done here other than taking the farms back.

The greatest irony of this situation is that government has already ended the subsidies on which most of these Zanu PF cronies were now totally dependent throwing them into poverty. The prospect of now being forced off the farms, with no prospect of getting a job, must be a nightmare comparable only to that the white farmers themselves faced when they were forced off the farms. The one was forced off the farm by greed and now the greed are being forced off the farm by their own incompetence!

As my late mother would say, "Munda hauzvirimi!" (Farms do not farm themselves!) It is only right that farms should be given to those who are best able to use this key asset to good use for the good of the nation.

Raymond Majongwe is right “Zanu PF will get a clear victory (in 2018) because they are already on the ground campaigning in preparation for the elections. President Robert Mugabe is 90 and he still has 14 more years with us if we are to recall that his mother died at 106.” But right only if the next elections were to be held under the same conditions as the 2013 elections which is not going to happen.

For one thing the economic meltdown is hitting Mugabe where it really hurts, it is ripping Zanu PF apart. When a party grandee like Nathan Shamuyarira dies in abject poverty it means no one in the party is sinking. Minister Nhema has been telling the Zanu PF cronies they are going to be kicked off the farms to accelerate their economic misery. If Majongwe thinks any of these idiots are going to help Mugabe rig the next elections then he is really naive!

For another thing, the next elections will be held only after the democratic reforms have been implemented - Majongwe will just have to accept it from me for the time being that the reform will be implemented. Majongwe should know that Mugabe will never win free and fair elections.

Nikuv are reportedly moving all their files, themselves – they would not allow anyone else to move them – from their present location in Makombe Building to the Army KGVI complex for destruction.

Nikuv’s Zimbabwe representative Ron Asher could neither confirm nor deny his company is relocating to KGVI.

The rats are deserting the sinking ship! It would be better for Ron Asher and his fellow Nikuv friends if they had never been born. What they must know now is we will flash them out wherever they try to hide! Zimbabwe has learned a new word, nikuv, that must be written in the minds of every man, woman and child for generations to come. The nation’s pride will now depend on the nation seeking justice for this national insult; no one should ever be allowed to come in our own country, commit treason and be paid handsomely for it and expect to get away with that!

Gideon Gono says Kereke should “spare us (Gono) the theatrics” and sue the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe who employed him.

The Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe is a cooperation with no body to be kicked and no soul to be damned so one has to go for the managers running these cooperations! Gideon Gono was the CEO of RBZ with a big a** to be kicked and Kereke knows that! If Gono has a soul then let God will do as He pleases!

The regime seized the white owned farms out of greed there was no economic justifica-tion for the seizures. After spending billions of dollars in subsidies to these these mobile phone farmers and with the economy now in totally meltdown the regime has finally ac-cepted that their agrarian experiment was a disaster.

The irony is the regime is taking away the farms from these cronies at a time when they have nothing left and have no prospect of getting another job! Since 2000 Mugabe has dished out former white-owned farm like confetti at a wedding to boost his own political support. Now that his political fortunes have improved considerable thanks to the breath-taking incompetence of Tsvangirai and MDC he now wants to take the farms back.

Most of these failed farmers have nothing left in this world other than the allocated farm. Yes, they have failed to fully utilise the farm but at least they management to produce enough for their own family needs plus a little extra for sell. Taking the farm away from them will mean starting afresh in their traditional rural homes where millions live in abject poverty. Some comeback!

So the seized farms were bait and now Mugabe got what he wanted he is throwing all those who have been foolish enough to swallow the bait, hook and sinker economically worse off now than they were in 2000 before their greed had the better of them. Every-one should have realised that Mugabe was only using them and would discard them as he has discarded everyone else sooner or later.

Nathan Shamuyarira, a grandee of Zanu PF, died a pauper. These party loyalist were no grandees and it is naïve for them to think they would somehow escape poverty the dis-ease that has afflicted millions of Zimbabweans including grandees like Shamuyarira!

@ Kenneth Nedziwe

MDC had the majority in parliament and in cabinet and had five years to implement the democratic reforms agreed in the GPA. Surely you did not expect Mugabe to dismantle his Zanu PF dictatorship.

What is really worrying here is how many Zimbabweans, like you, who still cannot get their heads round what the reforms were and who was supposed to implement them. Of course, the country would not be in this mess if so many Zimbabweans were not so mentally challenged!

Ibbo Mandaza is right to say opposition MDC-T is "washed up". I would have said it is dead and buried. Tsvangirai, Tendai Biti and the rest of the MDC leaders had been shooting themselves in the foot by failing to implement the reforms but when they decoded to take part in the elections without even one reform implemented and against the advice of SADC, the international community and many Zimbabweans they shot themselves in the head!

Anyone who expected MDC’s to play any meaningful role in Zimbabwe politics after the July 2013 rigged elections is naïve.

Mugabe does not just have a two thirds majority in parliament but all his Zanu PF MPs know that they are there because he rigged the elections in their favour. Their allegiance is therefore not to the voters but to Mugabe himself!

The Zimbabwe economy is in a real mess because of the 34 years of gross mismanage-ment and corruption by the successive self-saving Zanu PF regimes. Mugabe and his cronies have long given up the dream of mass prosperity, “gutsa ruzhinji”, the party preached after independence; they have gone for enriching themselves regardless the suffering and deaths their looting caused to the masses.

Zimbabwe’s economic meltdown has taken a turn for the worse since the rigged July 2013 elections and yet Mugabe has done nothing to stop this runaway train. He should have done something to end the rampant corruption, for example. He has not lifted a finger against those named in the PSMAS, ZESA, Council, etc. salary scandals because all those involved are an integral part of the Zanu PF ruling elite, the looting brigade. He is himself the commander-in-chief of the brigade and has been flaunting his loot with the $1 million birthday party, $10 million wedding for his daughter and held in his $ 20 million “Blue Roof” mansion!

Mugabe and his Zanu PF cronies have their hands firmly on the reins of power, thanks to MDC’s breath-taking incompetence; but it is presumptuous of Ibbo Mandaza to suggest Mugabe is there to “rebuilding the country”. Now with poverty the unwelcome landlord in many Zimbabweans’ homes; Mugabe and his cronies’ only concern is to keep their loot and keep poverty just outside their gates out at bay.

This tyrannical Mugabe regime blatantly rigged the July 2013 elections and has been hiding the voters roll, the smoking gun, under the pretext the computer holding the data has broken down now for over a year. And throughout all those our Prosecutor General Johannes Tomana has said nothing about this, potential treasonous act. A few individuals produce what is nothing more than a cartoon who says a few home truths about those who have ruled this nation with an iron fist and our Prosecutor General is kangaroo hopping mad!

The cartoon is accused of calling for popular uprising against a regime that has denied them a meaningful vote. So having failed to gain legitimacy through free and fair elections the regime is seeking to gain it by silencing all legitimate dissent!

This Zanu PF regime is illegitimate and therefore nothing it does is can be legitimate!
This regime is corrupt through and through and the soon the nation pushes for the regime’s demise the sooner the nation can bring an end to the political and economic nightmare the country is going through right now.

@whichfool

There will be no elections unless ALL the democratic reforms are implemented the focus is on getting them reforms implemented.

Zimbabweans have been denied a meaningful vote for 34 years; we in the ZSD are determined to put that right. To get the reforms implemented, we do not need to mobilize a million support-ers. Get the reforms implemented and mobilizing the people will be a walk in the park.

If the reforms are not implemented all the time and money spent is mobilizing the people will have been wasted.

The ZSD would have implemented all the reforms if we were in the GNU. Even if Mugabe had given every member of ZSD a mansion Tsvangirai got plus the farm Nyapudzai Bona has and his own "Blue Roof" mansion that would not have ZSD leaders implementing the reform! I have told you before ZSD are not going to be bamboozled by Mugabe.

Tendai Biti is right to say Tsvangirai is not the answer to Zimbabwe’s political and eco-nomic crisis but he has to say why. The reasons the Renewal Team has given so far are totally inadequate.

Yes, Tsvangirai has too many women in his life. And yes, he has used his time in gov-ernment for “personal aggrandizement, personal wealth accumulation as symbolized by the current impasse on the Highlands residency”. Are these the reasons why MDC lost the July 2013 elections? Of course not!

MDC lost the July 2013 elections because the party failed to get even one democratic reform implemented. Without the reforms, Mugabe was able to blatantly rig the elections.

Tendai Biti, Elton Mangoma and the rest of the renewal team have focused on Tsvangirai’s womanizing and other peripheral issues because they know they are as much to blame for the MDC’s failure to implement the reforms as Tsvangirai. In failing to implement even one reform they all proved breathtakingly incompetent.

It is the failure to implement the reforms that makes the very thought of Tsvangirai once again being entrusted with any leadership position a “national embarrassment”. And for exactly the same reason, Biti is equally unsuitable.

@ Chimbwido

Read again what ZEC have just said, they will not release the national voters roll to the individual but will release a voters roll for a given constituency to the individual. Where did you get the 50 years nonsense from?

The Zimbabwe economic meltdown is forcing Mugabe to do things few would have guessed he would. Last year the tyrant has stopped the farming subsidies, easy money, his cronies who got the looted farms have relied on for decades. And now the regime is telling the cronies they will lose the farms if they fail to put them into productive use.

Take these farms from the cronies and many of them will be destitute. Did you see just how poor the late Nathan Shamuyarira was when he died? These failed farmers will be even poorer! Shamuyarira had a house in Borrowdale, many of these disposed mobile phone farmers will not even have a shaky in Magaba!

What about you Chimbwido, who is "farming" the A farm the party gave you? Are you sure it will still be yours once the exercise of taking away unproductive farms starts?

Zanu PF is collapsing right now; when grandees like Shamuyarira are as poor as a church mouse that shows the centre cannot hold! Zanu PF is not going to last the next four years let alone 50 years!

@Murevengi

Zanu PF created the one-party dictatorship so why would they want to implement the reforms designed to dismantle the very dictatorship they had created? That very fact that someone should be asking such a stupid question even one now with hindsight shows just how shallow some people are. No wonder the country is in a mess!

Zimbabwe Light said...

@ Chimbwido

Shamuyarira was as poor as a church mouse when he died. Zanu PF started painting his house at four in the afternoon the day he died to hide the years of neglect, rot and decay. I will bet you whatever you want they painted the front only.

What "fat pension" are you wittering about? His wife could not even afford the Combie bus fare to visit him on his death bed!

Not everybody is living like the Mugabes; Mugabe in his "Blue Roof" mansion and last week his daughter Bona Nyapudzai moved into a similar mansion at Mapfeni Farm, Mazowe, a belated wedding present. Do not compare with the Shamuyariras' rat infested home smelling of shit be-cause there is no running water to flash the toilets properly.

Only Mugabe and a few others are flaunting their amassed wealth whilst the rest of the popula-tion is being crashed into the dust by grinding poverty. Of course this is not sustainable; this criminal waste of human and material resources for the benefit of a few at the expense of the many could never last. Now that the even Zanu PF grandees are as much victims of the system as are the millions of other Zimbabweans is a clear sign that the system “eating” its own and is therefore collapsing from the inside!

@ Nathaniel Manheru

If this is the same Manheru we all suspect to be; then tell us, are you still a PSMAS board mem-ber? Since the scandal broke out, you have been very quiet. What have you been doing; finding new places and new ways to hide your looted wealth?

Now you are back and still full of shit! "Much worse, his (Biti) excellent education as a lawyer — all of it after Independence — rebukes him and his claim beyond measure," you say. It was not for an "excellent education" alone that the nation fought and so many died in the war of inde-pendence, you moron. The people wanted freedom the right to have a meaningful say in the governance of the country and the right to life itself. And for 34 years this Zanu PF dictatorship has denied the people these basic freedoms and rights.

Manheru, you were right to say that if you were asked to tell the truth regarding your looting at the PSMAS then it will involve "many others". It is not going to be long now before you will be asked to name who else has been involved in the corruption and looting that has destroyed this nation. Zanu PF is collapsing.

When a Zanu PF grandee like Nathan Shamuyarira dies a pauper it goes to show the economic rot and decay has reached the ruling elite. Police Commissioner Augustine Chihuru was sup-posed to be witnessing the pass-out parade of new Police recruits the other day and it was him who passed out instead! The shoes he was wearing were too tight; money is now tight, even he could not afford a new pair of shoes. The rot has reached the very centre of Zanu PF and the dictatorship is collapsing in because the centre cannot hold!

Manheru, your days as the tyrant’s propagandist and spin doctors are numbered!
