Ex MDC Minister, Gorden Moyo, resigns from party "full of confusion" triggering another chorus from the howling monkeys!

Former MDC-T Minister, Gorden Moyo resigns from the party saying the party had betrayed the people and is “full of confusion”.

“An angel of darkness has visited our party. We have been raped by a demon and become like the Tower of Babel – full of confusion,” said Gorden Moyo.

The single most important failure by MDC was failing to implement the reforms. Now this was not a one day event but a process that took five years to unfold. Was Mr Moyo fast asleep throughout those five years and has just woken up now?

MDC leaders have shown throughout the years but most of all during the GNU that they are corrupt and breathtakingly incompetent.

The infighting in MDC that first broke out in 2005 ending with the formation of Ncube led faction and is going on today which leading to yet another breakaway faction forming are just another manifestation of MDC's breath-taking incompetence.

“We are pushing a self-destruction button,” said Mr Moyo. “Given circumstances in the current context, I find it difficult to operate in such an environment where we fight friends and not foes."

MDC leaders have always fought each other and never the common enemy because they have never agreed on any common goals and interests.

The only reason the infighting was not so pronounced during the GNU years is that they all had their snout in the trough; too busy feeding to fight. When Mugabe kicked out MDC leaders off the gravy train after the 2013 elections they now had all the time in the world to tear each other to pieces over nothing!

Mr Moyo said he was resigning from both the MDC faction led by Tsvangirai and from the renewal group.

“He only joined the party just before the formation of the inclusive Government ... (but) that’s the normal life of a party,” was the response Nelson Chamisa. Chamisa has always maintained MDC was “the party of excellence!” Is this him admit that it was just an empty and meaningless slogan!

Sadly this is not a gun fight but a verbal fight; the former produces a winner and, most important of all for the nation, peace. On the other hand, the verbal fight of the howling monkeys produces lots and lots of noise; no articulated points of view just an endless string of empty promises and meaningless slogans. Each side will always claim victory and although they never say what exactly they have won. Each side will then go out to rally their supporters in preparation for the next howling contest!

Zimbabwe is facing the worst economic crisis ever and, if the nation does not act quickly and decisively, the nation can easily tip over and serious social unrest in the form of riots or worse. We desperately need to focus our minds on this threat and finding the way out but we cannot even hear ourselves think not with the howling monkeys in full voice!

“In what could signal a change of policy, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has reportedly appointed its first representative to Harare in 10 years,” reported The Zimbabwean.

We welcome the IMF back to Zimbabwe but on a clear understanding that they are there to drive home to Mugabe and his tyrannical regime that they have failed to govern the nation. All their efforts to resuscitate the national economy have failed; the ZimAsset begging bowl has remained mockingly empty and the party has lacked the courage to scrap its ill-advised indigenisation and black empowerment policies that have scarred away would be investors.

Without the injection of donor funds and a significant increase in new investments Zimbabwe’s already serious economic meltdown will only get worse. Unemployment is already seating at a nauseating 85% plus and most basic services like water, electricity and sanitation have all but collapsed causing untold human suffering and unnecessary deaths! This cannot go on; the cup is full to overflow.

It is time for Mugabe to go!

The IMF must not come back to Zimbabwe to mollycoddle and bailout Mugabe and give him any encouragement that the mismanagement and corruption can continue. The IMF representative’s brief must be to Mugabe and his regime that the only hope of saving the Zimbabwe economy from total meltdown is for them to resign!

@ Jazzy E

Chamisa is stupid but not that stupid not to know that MDC is indeed a party "full of confusion". Yes he has always said that MDC is a party of "excellence" but that was just an empty slogan for the naive and gullible MDC supporters. Gorden Moyo join-ing in the empty slogan but now he is just coming out and admitting to all that it was all nonsense.

It is hard for Chamisa, a career politician, whose whole future revolved him lying to the people that MDC is the party of excellence to now swallow the reality that it is in fact a party of howling monkeys given to making lots of noise, How can Chamisa be "diplomatic" about something like that!

@ Rasta-pasta

I agree with you MDC died in 2008 if not long before that but you will have to ques-tion the mental state of all those millions of MDC supporters who continued to pin their hopes of democratic change on a "dead" political party. Instead of burying the party the have continued to feed and nurture it! One does not need to be a doctor of anything to know we have a mentally challenged electorate!

First the nation elected a tyrant and then we elect a breathtakingly incompetent idiot! Of course there are other tyrants and idiots queuing to take advantage of this naive and gullible electorate and they will!

Until the people really start the issue of electing quality national leaders with the seriousness the issue demands; this nation is going nowhere.

Zimbabwe’s economic meltdown is taking a heavy toll; Greatermans, a household departmental store in Harare, is closing down.

When great and well established brands like Greatermans have been struggling and are now shutting down people like Philip Chiyagwa and Mai Mujuru have made millions and billions respectively. It is either people like Chiyangwa and Mai Mujuru are extremely shrewd business geniuses or they are extremely corrupt! This is a puzzle that we, as a nation, owe it to ourselves and posterity to thoroughly investigate and have answered.

If these Zanu PF filthy rich individuals are geniuses then the nation needs to tap into their extraordinary talents, especial now when the national economy is in the doldrums.

If they have no talents at all but were the beneficiaries of the extremely corrupt and greed system; then the nation must do everything possible to recover the looted wealth. These individuals have lived lives of unimaginable luxuries all from looted wealth.

The consequences of the mismanagement, corruption and looting by the Zanu PF ruling elite was that millions of ordinary Zimbabweans were forced into a live of ab-ject poverty and despair. The very least the corrupt and greed lot can do is help fi-nance the economic recovery they caused.

Stores like Greatermans as well as many companies nationwide have or will close down and never to open again but let us hope this nation will finally put an end to the madness of corruption and looting so new stores and companies can start up founded on sound economics and honest hard work.

“Zinasu is a serious organisation which does not follow individuals but ideas and therefore it is more than ready to unite with any progressive institutions that are prepared to continue with the democratic struggle,” said Zinasu president Gilbert Mutubuki. “Morgan Tsvangirai (the suspended MDC President) can no longer inspire.”

Well he would say that wouldn’t he!

The truth is Tsvangirai has never ever inspired, the true sense of the word, and yet Zi-nasu is one of the many organisations that have backed him up to the hilt. When MDC produced the rubbish Copac constitution, Zinasu was once again one of the organisations that endorse the stupid document.

To date Zinasu has yet to comment on MDC’s failure to implement the reforms and to take part in the elections with no reforms. These are all very serious matter of great na-tional importance how can Zinasu remain silent and still be “a serious organisation”?

If Zinasu was led by anyone remotely competent then the organisation would NOT be backing the MDC renewal team because it is blatantly obvious that all MDC leaders were to blame for betraying the nation and failing to bring about the democratic change we are all after.

Reputation is like Rome; it is not built in a day but mayo-oh-mai it is shocking just how highly flammable reputations and, having caught fire, how quick they burn to nothing. Chatham House's reputation was certainly destroyed by Knox Chitiyo and Steve Kibble report; ‘Zimbabwe’s International Re-engagement: The Long Haul to Recovery.’ The two must have been paid well by the regime to produce that report because it did not do their own reputations any good either!

The report failed to acknowledge that Zimbabwe was in a political and economic mess because of the Mugabe regime’s repressive practices on the political front and mismanagement and corrupt on the economic front. The report failed to say how these underlying weaknesses were going to be addressed. What is the point of the re-engagement with the regime if the root causes of the country’s problem are not addressed?

ZEC have not responded to the High Court application by a lawyer and private citi-zen, Justice Alfred Mavedzenge, asking the commission to make the electronic vot-ers’ roll public. The 10 day grace period expired on Wednesday, June 4, after which a default judgement would be made.

Nikuv corrupted the voters roll and was paid a princely sum of $13 million. The truth is there was no rocket science at all with what they did and Mugabe has since learnt this; a couple of high school drop-outs could have done this; hence the reason why the regime is determined never to release the voters roll. They know is people will see what Nikuv did easily enough.

Mugabe was conned by Nikuv to pay $13 million for shitty work!

Nikuv had no right coming into our country and help commit high treason and be paid top dollars for it and expect to get away with it! Zimbabwe’s national pride now rest of holding the Jews responsible for this outrage to account and recover the money plus interest plus expense!

The voters roll is the smoking gun on the rigged elections and it is just a matter of time before the truth comes out!

“The MDC alternative cabinet decries the lack of ideas within this (Zanu PF) institutionalised kleptocracy characterised by an irredeemable and inevitable national decay,” Chamisa said in a statement.

This is very true but what we the people decry is MDC’s failure to do something to end this Zanu PF “institutionalised kleptocracy” when the party had all the chance to do so. MDC were tasked to implement the democratic reforms necessary for free and fair elections – the only way to stop Mugabe rigging the elections.

The reforms should have been implemented in 18 months according to the agree life of the GNU. In the end the GNU lasted for five years, 60 months, and yet not even one reform was ever implemented. Not one!

MDC failed to implement even one reform because the leaders had their snouts in the trough and completely forgot about the reforms but more significantly because they are breathtakingly incompetent.

The inescapable reality is; if MDC had implemented the reforms, Mugabe would not have rigged the 2013 elections, the nation would not have this corrupt and tyrannical regime in government!

Ever since the rigged elections which resulted in MDC leaders being kicked off the gravy train the party has been looking for a way back on the feeding trough. They are seizing on the economic meltdown to justify why MDC should be in government although they have got a clue what has to be done to get the national economy back on track. All they want is to have their snouts back in the trough!

We need want Mugabe and his tyrannical dictatorship out yes but not an-other political fudge as MDC produced after the GNU! We need to silence these breathtakingly MDC howling monkeys who are at best a constant distraction!
