Mutasa insulted Moyo the crocodile with his gamatox gibe and now he has to cross the river!

When former USA President Lyndon B. Johnson was asked why he had kept a known critic of his administration he replied that it was "better to have them inside the tent pissing out than outside pissing in."

Mugabe brought Jonathan Moyo back into cabinet not just to reward him for helping him mastermind the plan to rig the elections but more significantly to keep him "inside the tent pissing out"! Sadly for Mugabe Moyo has turned out to be more than a "pissing" opponent but one who is "destroying the party from within", as Mugabe himself now admits.

According to a New Zimbabwe report Moyo and Mugabe met on Monday night behind closed doors and “ironed out their differences”.
“The meeting was held behind closed doors on Monday evening. By the end of it the two men had found each other. On Tuesday the minister attended Cabinet and it’s now business as usual,” said the Zanu PF official who asked not to be named.
Mugabe had been furious with Moyo for days and he known for being ruthless with all those who dare cross swords with him. And yet, here we are Moyo walks straight into the fire breathing dragon’s den and walks out unscotched and unscathed!
So why has Mugabe not fired Moyo, many would ask? The truth is he cannot. Moyo knows a lot of details about how Mugabe rigged the 2013 elections, for example. Mugabe is smart enough to know that if he was to fire or kill Moyo all the dirty details of his past will be out for the whole world to see within hours!

The bullet to kill Moyo, may even miss, will ricochet to kill Mugabe and many, many others instead!

Mugabe called Moyo the "devil incarnate" but he wanted him on his side precisely because of his devilish scheming skills which has kept the tyrant in power longer than even he did not think possible. “He who sups with the devil should have a long spoon,” so goes the proverb. It seems Mugabe supped with the “devil incarnate” but failed to keep his distance!

Mugabe knows Professor Moyo is “a weevil”, “the devil incarnate” “destroying Zanu PF from within” and yet he still cannot fire him because the Professor got close to Mugabe so close he has the tyrant by the balls. The cunning Professor is the boss calling the shots and for once Mugabe is doing as he is told!

Poor Didymus Mutasa he had spent the week ferreting for the gamatox jar confident Mugabe would give him the nod to apply it generously on the “weevil” Moyo. He must have been totally confused when Moyo attended the cabinet meeting as if nothing had happened between him and Mugabe. And Mutasa had to sheepishly put his gamatox jar away!

Of course Professor Jonathan Moyo, the never-forget and never- forgive “devil incarnate” that he is, will have the last laugh on the gamatox gibe! Minister Mutasa must be worried sick and so he should be because he knows he will be served a devilish gamatox dish which he will have no choice but eat.

If you are going to insult the crocodile then do so after, AFTER, you have crossed the river not before. Minister Mutasa not only insulted the crocodile but even threw stones at it just to infuriate the monster only to then did he realise that he has to wade across with water up to his chin and he cannot even swim!

“We have our means of seeing things these days, we just see things through our system. So no-one can hide from us in this country," said Minister Didymus Mutasa. I think the nation would be naive to dismiss this claim give the regime is already building a $200 million Spy University with the help of the Chinese.

The country is so stretched for funds that even key institutions like Parerenyatwa Hospital have no running water for weeks on end and Chikurubi Prison has had no running water now for over ten years and yet it has $200 million to spend on a Spy University, has beefed up the Police with 650 new graduates and is recruiting 11 000 Prison Officers!

The regime has given up on rigging economic recovery but that does not mean it admitting failure and giving up power. On the contrary, it is beefing up on security and repression and spying on the people is a must for a Police State!

@ Musoni

You are right; the nation has been brainwashed so much so that most people are now incapable of a rational thought. When Mugabe was ranting about the rampant corruption stories destroying the party and nation one got the feeling that most people agreed with the tyrant! Of course that is nonsense it is the years of pretending there was no corruption that has destroyed the nation - fcuk Zanu PF they are the ones who have been sweeping corruption under the carpet

"As the military, we have been schooled into understanding that the gun does not com-mand the party, it's the party that does commands the gun," Perrence Shiri said at the Defence College in Harare when he was approached by journalists.

"Whatever comes out of political deliberation by the political leadership of the country shall bind us as the military."

Schooled? What schooling is he talking about? Was it the same school that taught him and his follow top brass security chiefs not honour the people’s vote if that meant saluting someone with no liberation war record?

The truth is with Mugabe, Moyo had his own secret weapon more powerful and potent than the gun Shiri carries – a razor-sharp brain – he did not need Shiri’s help to put Mugabe in his place!

A ZANU PF legislator and businessman, Justice Mayor Wadyajena, is challenging a $4 million tax bill claiming it will cripple his business empire.

When someone builds a business empire worth millions at a time when the economy is shrinking so fast many businesses are collapsing much less thriving. It is either the individual is a real business genius or else he is one of the beneficiaries of the corruption and rot behind the country's economic meltdown.

I can hardly wait the day this Zanu PF regime takes its final curtain call and leaves the political stage and a thorough investigation is carried out on the business conducted of all these filthy rich party loyalists. The world will know whether they are really the business geniuses we have been made to believe they are or gutter rats who have grown fat feeding on the flesh of the impoverished millions!

"The president emphasised that we should remain united and concentrate on service delivery," said Rugare Gumbo.

What is he talking about Zanu PF "concentrating on service delivery"? The national economy is in dangerous meltdown, there are no jobs, no water and the nation is drowning in sewage! What kind of a sick joke is this!

Mugabe and Moyo met and it is clear Mugabe will not dare dismiss this "devil incarnate" even though he is "destroying the party within". Minister Mutasa has had to put away the gamatox he had ferreted to kill the "weevil" Information Minister.

Moyo knows too many of Mugabe's secretes including how the tyrant rigged the 2013 elections. It will be suicidal for Mugabe and the Politbu-ro to fire someone like that.

“It is the prerogative of the politburo and the President to rein in divisive elements. The issue will be discussed in the politburo and if action needs to be taken, it will be taken," said Rugare Gumbo.

Yes it is the prerogative of the President and Politburo to do as they please, they have always done so all these 34 years, but do they have the courage to commit suicide kamikaze style because exactly what they will be doing if they fired Moyo.

It is one thing for simpletons like Gumba and Mutasa to pile on the pressure to have Moyo fired because they clearly do not have the foggiest idea of the “devil incarnate” they are dealing with here. Mugabe is a lot smart enough to know

@ Kay CNN

The Zimbabwean people were as ignorant of the democratic changes necessary for free and fair elections as Tsvangirai and hence the reason why they failed to force MDC to get them implemented. The political situation is Zimbabwe has developed because the electorate is ignorant; ignorant to the point of not knowing what is in one’s own interest; and not because the people are peace loving!

So far no donors, not even the Chinese Mugabe was sure of, have contributed a single dollar into the $27 billion ZimAsset begging bowl. This is the money the regime needed to repair the country's infrastructure like water supply, roads, railways, etc. The country is too poor to generate any of that money herself; the regime is spending 90% of its revenue on wages and has nothing left for anything else.

As if the problem of the mockingly empty ZimAsset begging bowl was not bad enough; the regime has failed to attract the foreign investors who are supported to start up new businesses and create the much needed jobs. The would-be investors fear being forced to sell their investments as part of the regime's indigenisation poli-cy.

So as things stand Mai Mujuru is being very optimistic to say the nation can expect economic recovery in "30 to 40 years". The regime has clearly given up on both get-ting ZimAsset funds and attracting new investors. The only thing certain at present is that the economic meltdown will get worse, a lot worse. There is nothing being done to arrest thing and so there is really no basis for talking about timetable for economic recovery. Indeed never would be more accurate but of course Mai Mujuru could not say that!

The only thing the regime is as keen as mustard on is holding on to political power. Indeed she has done little else other than plot for the succession with her faction should Mugabe die or retire! She cannot wait to be president but does not have the foggiest idea what needs to be done to get the economy back on track. Not a clue!

ZESA has just announced that there will be power cuts in all the country’s major cit-ies, up to 16 hours a day!

“The government should also fund electricity infrastructure upgrades, revamp addi-tional power generating projects like the Hwange Thermal Power Station, and li-cense private players,” Masimba Kuchera told S W Radio Africa.

These are great suggestions Masimba but since the regime cannot even raise enough to pay the bloated civil service it had to see how it can ever raise the billions needed for all everything else. The ZimAsset begging bowl is still mockingly empty and investors are avoiding Zimbabwe as if it was a Biblical leper colony!

Zimbabweans have a tendency of convincing themselves that the nation has fit rock bottom therefore things cannot get worse and therefore can only get better. If things get worse they have an answer to that; that this is definitely rock bottom. If we questioned why we were having even one hour power cut a week those years back then we would not be having the 16 hours a day power cuts today!

The economic meltdown Zimbabwe is going through right now is real and things are going to get a lot worse than they are today. Our "the sun will come tomorrow" optimism is totally unfounded this is an express descend into hell with no toilet stop!

Mugabe and Zanu PF have given up all effects to get the national economy back on track it is now up to the people to demand that the regime should give up power too. Every day the regime remains in power it will only be to drag the nation deeper and deeper into the abyss and despair. It is up to be people to stop this madness or suffer the consequences!

The regime is adopting more and more aggressive methods of collecting tax with re-ports of Zimra raiding companies in Bulawayo!

The trouble with this Zanu PF regime is that is has always looked on the private sector as a super dairy cow with an udder so bigger it always met government’s de-mands regardless how big those demands were. Indeed the more often the cow was milked the more she produced!

Companies are facing the small economic hardships that government is facing and therefore could do with some tax break to help them survive instead the regime is milking them even harder than ever! Many companies are closing down and so the few remaining are being taxed even harder than ever before. This is a vicious circle but who is listening – certainly not the regime!

@ Kules

Moyo is a lot smarter than that; he has cds of all the dirty safely hidden so that if he should be fired or worse still killed then the information will be made public. The cds are his insurance. Mugabe can rant and shout but he will not dare touch even one hair on Moyo's head. Moyo has Mugabe's balls in a vice-grip.

He made a mistake in 2005 with the Tsholotsho debacle he is not the sort of man who would make the same mistake twice! This time Moyo has the tyrant snared and securely caught. Moyo is the one calling the shot from now on not Mugabe! The tyrant has increased the number of CIO on Moyo five fold not to spy on him as is the normal thing but to make sure nothing happens to him. Whatever Moyo asks for Mugabe will give it to him pronto!

Who ever said the pen representing brain power is mightier than the sword representing brute force; he or she was spot on! Mugabe is smart but Moyo is even smarter - the tyrant has just been presented with a check mate and he is finished!
