Former MDC MP admit the party behaved like amateurs - now how about firing incompetent Tsvangirai!

Former MDC Mazowe Central MP, Shepherd Mushonga told SW Radio Africa that MDC lost the 31 July 2013 elections because the MDC was a party of “amateurs”.

“ZANU PF’s win took everyone by surprise. But how could we as a party fail to see even a hint of the final result? ZANU PF used the referendum to do a dress rehearsal of how they were going to cheat,” said Mushonga.

He explained that the rigging involved bussing in people from outside their constituencies, allowing 60 percent of the voters to use fake registration slips to cast their ballots, as well as telling rural voters to ask for assistance during the voting.

In Mazowe Central alone he said more than 6,000 people were assisted to vote, including a deputy headmistress from Kanukanwe School who said she could not read and write.

I salute Mr Mushonga for admitting what has been obvious for years to the rest of the world but clearly not to anyone in MDC. Only idiots would have believed there could be free and fair elections without the democratic reforms, for example. Well it is a historic fact that Tsvangirai and the rest of his MDC friends clearly believed that would happen.

It is interesting to note that the penny has yet to drop as regards his breath-taking incompetence  even now with the benefit of hindsight - just to underline how irredeemably incompetent he really is. If Mushonga has had his "road to Damascus" eye-opener then he must now see that nothing can ever be accomplished as long as MDC still retains idiots like Tsvangirai as leaders!

@ Trevor

I am not the only one who has said MDC should implement the reforms on this site again and again. So why did Tsvangirai fail to "see" that the elections will not be free and fair other than that he is breathtakingly incompetent.

The consequences of Mugabe rigging the election is untold suffering and deaths to millions of ordinary Zimbabweans. Tsvangirai or idiots like you can not see it; I can.

People like you did not see the need for reforms and even now cannot see it. It is no surprise, given that you spend so much time with your head buried in the sand.

@ Chimbwido

Tsvangirai and company were amateurs, "mabaranzi" as you say. Still by rigging the elections Mugabe cheated more than mabaranzi, he cheated the people of Zimbabwe.

Laugh now because you and Mugabe will not be laughing when the democratic changes happen and they are still on the national agenda; let me assure you of that! This fight is not over until every Zimbabwean man, woman and child has all of his/her basic rights and freedoms fully restored! This time Mugabe will find he is not dealing with amateurs but people with a lot of grey stuff between their ears.

The sewer rat is in trouble! As for you, Chimbwido, you will not miss your date with the hangman! Watch this space!

@ Hwange

You "will not follow nor venerate blindly" you say. What then do you think you are doing by addressing a sewer rat who rigged elections as "his excellency"! Who elected him to that office?

People did not elect him because they knew he would not deliver anything. Now that he imposed himself on the nation, you have already forgiven and/or forgotten that he is a corrupt and murderous tyrant. He is now a competent and accountable statesman whom you can reason with! No wonder the nation is in a mess - with gullible people like you the sewer rat knows he can do as he pleases!

The sewer rat will be tickled to be called "your excellency" still we all know that will not stop him making our lives a misery just as he has done these last 33 years!

"Your excellency" to a sewer rat!

Mugabe rigged the elections and the whole world knows it including the idiots in SADC.

What does "generally credible" mean? No one was murdered this time and so we will overlook all the cheating that took place on the day, ignore all the intimidation that took place before and after the elections, we all know there is no free media and freedom of expression in Zimbabwe but we will pretend that there was, etc., etc. That is exactly what SADC has done for them to then come up with the conclusion that the elections were "generally credible".

Someone has to tell SADC that by accepting a rigged election they are not fooling anyone but themselves. SADC's own credibility has been seriously tarnished!

The West must refine the targeted sanction and laser focus them so that the really hit the targets and hurt!

As for Mugabe and Zanu PF hitting back; the targeted sanctions were imposed in 2002, why have you not been hitting back all these years. If you have then the fact that not even one Western leader has ever complained about it means your punches have been as feeble as Montgomery Burns', the Simpsons cartoon character!

@ Cde Munesi

The fact still remains that Mugabe can hit back but the punch is feeble and it is only feeble minded people you see it any other way.

@ Robzam

Well you tells how many people were denied their vote and how many voted more than once? Or are you saying Mugabe did not rig the elections? Stop hiding behind a figure or figures because no one knows the exact figures because Mugabe made sure the whole process was chaotic.

But that does not change the fact that these elections were rigged. Indeed the chaos was part and parcel of the vote rigging, the Police should have investigated the cases of people being bussed in but they did not! That was deliberate; they did not want to have the truth confirmed.

You will only accept what the Police have investigated and confirm and since they have turned a blind eye to Zanu PF lawlessness therefore there is no lawlessness! Nonsense! The fact that the Police failed to investigate what we all saw as lawlessness proves they Police bias and therefore lawlessness!

@ Facelt

If Mugabe had the support of the people, then why did he have to bus in people from one area so they could vote twice or three times?

If Mugabe thinks he is going to get away with cheating then he is in for a big surprise. The whole world knows he rigged these elections and the whole world is sick and tired of cheats like him. He is illegitimate and will be treated accordingly - a cheating sewer rat!

@ The thinking man

How are you supposed to "relax and carry-on" when the corruption and looting is making life impossible. There innocent Zimbabweans who are be forced out of their homes because they supported MDC? They are millions of Zimbabweans who have no water and no electricity; you tell them to relax.

Two million Zimbabweans are facing starvation in the next few months, according to a UN report, and they will starve if the UN does not help them because Mugabe will not. He is spending millions buying new cars for the new MPs, the Police, the ZEC members and all those who helped him rig the elections! Carry-on; some carry-on all right!

@ Burj

Mugabe is a corrupt and ruthless tyrant who has destroyed the Zimbabwe economy. Only the very naïve people expects him to be a competent and democratically accountable leader this time round. He is a corrupt and ruthless tyrant and that is the one thing that will not change. Indeed by rigging the elections; he showed all the naïve idiots out there that he has CHANGED!

@ Joemuda

Of course, the whole world knows Mugabe rigged the elections. Mugabe and his Zanu PF thugs and operatives know the full details of how they rigged the elections but they are at the front of denying the elections were rigged.

Idiots like you are either CIO operatives or the usual Zanu PF moronic supporters who will never see Mugabe for the murderous tyrant he is.

Everyone knows the elections were rigged but many. like you are denying it but that does not change the fundamental fact that they KNOW!
