Mugabe accuse the West of "illegal regime change" - impossible since he is himself illegitimate!

“It is abundantly clear that the imperialists will not accept an election in which we emerge victorious. The Anglo-Saxon world has failed to live up to their promise that they would respect the findings of the Sadc and AU election observers,” said Mugabe.

The vote rigging was so blatant that no one in the whole wide world could accept Zimbabwe’s 31st July 2013 elections for anything other than what is was – a blatantly rigged election. The whole world saw the voters being bussed and voting is constituencies where they were clearly total strangers.

The whole world read reports of how one million people, that is 25% of the three million who voted, were denied the right to vote because their names were not in the voters roll is the ward they had registered.

With so many denied the right to vote, how was it then possible that 27 constituencies still had 70% plus voter turnout with Chipinge East with 141% voter turnout?

Even SADC and AU did not give the elections process the endorsement Mugabe is pretending they did. They said the elections were “generally credible” in that there was no repeat of the wanton violence of 2008. They carefully avoided commenting about the vote rigging because they knew the evidence was undeniable.

Mugabe had the money to organise and pay for a vote rigging at an industrial scale. He paid the Israeli company Nikuv $10 million, bought his Zanu PF candidates new cars worth another $10 million to ensure they do not de-campaign him as happened in 2008, must have spent hundreds of millions bussing the few supporters from one Zanu PF rally to another and then from one Polling Station to another on polling day, etc., etc.

The Zimbabwe economy is in deep trouble and unemployment has been 80% for over a decade now. The wealth from Marange diamonds should be used to get the economy back on track is instead being used to pay for the vote rigging!

SADC are focusing on the absence of the wanton violence in 2013 as if the people of Zimbabwe should be grateful for that! Are we to be grateful that the blessing of the Marange diamonds has been turned into a curse?

The West had promised to accept whatever judgement SADC and AU observers gave on the elections. In the end, the West made their own judgement and condemned the elections; the vote rigging was so blatant, no one could fail to see that.

Mugabe has legitimacy problems following the sham 2008 elections because of the wanton violence. He is back on the hook again, this time because of the blatant vote rigging. SADC got him off the hook last time and he should have learnt his lesson then. He did not and, this time, no one is going to get him off the hook.  No one!

“This shows how unprincipled our detractors can be,” complained Mugabe, “when they fail to even abide by the positions they themselves will have publicly promised to take. I am, however, proud that we, as Zimbabweans, know their wayward thinking, which we have learnt to live with for close to a decade-and-a-half now.”

Unprincipled?! Coming from the man who has just rigged the elections, who have ridden rough shod over the whole nation denying the people their basic rights and human dignity and even the right to life; that is the height of arrogance and hypocrisy!

Mugabe, the hypocrite, is accusing the West of pursuing “illegal regime change”. All the West and the world at large have done is refuse to recognise an illegal regime; Mugabe and his Zanu PF cabal rigged the elections and therefore do not have the people of Zimbabwe’s mandate to rule the country!

The people of Zimbabwe have been denied their say in who rules the country and nothing would please them more than to have this fundamental right finally restored. Mugabe must not be allowed to get away with yet another rigged election!

Stop talking nonsense! It is mismanagement, corruption and looting that has destroyed the Zimbabwe economy; not sanctions!

Mugabe rigged the elections and that makes him illegitimate. It is the people of Zimbabwe who confers legitimacy to a regime and they did not vote for this one!

"Because the doors have been closed by those who used to be our traditional partners, we have to intensify new economic relationships and friendships. That means every country that is friendly to Zimbabwe, including China," said Chinamasa.

Mugabe must have cursed the idiot and himself for having appointed such as he Minister of Finance. Mugabe introduced his "Look East" policies with great fanfare decades ago and whilst the Chinese have been very busy stealing every resource they could lay their hands on, the Zimbabwe economy has remained stuck in the gutter. One would expect some like Chinamasa to know that.

Mugabe had hoped the Chinese to at least help sought out his legitimacy problem. Even the Chinese Ambassador to Zimbabwe has probably refused to take calls from Mugabe much less Beijing! And there is his own Minister wittering about China being a "friendly country to Zimbabwe!"

The Chinese have no doubt redoubled their looting activities; fearful that their tyrannical fiend's days in power are numbered!

You can call me traitor all you want that will not wash the blood of the innocent you have shed! This game is over, you never thought you will face justice did you.

Well the wheel of justices turns very slowly but it does turn. And like the grinding stone, it grinds fine. You are soon to find out; you will not have long to wait now that this Zanu PF dictatorship is finally collapsing.

Getting rid of Mugabe has proven to be harder than it should have been because people failed to realize the man they thought would do it was a complete ass! I am surprised that even now, with hindsight, they are some people who are yet to see this! For the sake of the nation, I sure hope that they open their minds to reason!

Mugabe knew he would never win a free and fair elections; he had to cheat. When you are going to cheat you do not want a sober sharp eyed judge, naturally! Unfortunately for the tyrant, the cheating was so, so blatant; he knows he over cooked this one; that even the SADC and AU could not help but see there was cheating. They were very careful to judge the elections on the basis of "no violence" whilst carefully avoiding the rigging.

The whole world is sick and tired of Mugabe’s arrogance and indifference to the suffering of his own people and they have decided not to recognize his illegal seizure of power. By taking his oath of office, swearing in the MPs, Cabinet, etc.; all the normal things a new incoming regime would do; Mugabe wanted to present the world with a fait accompli of a fully formed government. He was confident the whole world would then bow and accept his regime, as has happened so many times in the past. There is arrogance for you.

Sadly for Mugabe, the world, led by the West, has in turn stubbornly refused to accept Mugabe as legitimate and therefore everything else he has done is equally illegitimate!

No doubt Mugabe will want to think he can soldier on but he will be reminded at every turn that he was not elected by the people of Zimbabwe. At every turn! He may think he has a skin as thick as that of a hippopotamus and all the diplomatic isolation and rebuff will be like a mosquito bite. The truth is the diplomatic bites are not meant to kill him but to cripple him politically and economically. As we all know a hippo with open wounds is in serious trouble because in water the fish will feast on him alive and on land he cannot stand the sweltering heat, the flies and crows!

Mugabe is not going to last the five years as the illegitimate president of Zimbabwe; if he does then it would be the worst years of his whole political life! I would not want to be in his shoes, for all the diamonds in Marange!

Belgium does not care about blacks, never did. Of all the white colonialists the Belgians have one of the worst record because of the untold suffering their caused!

Whilst the Belgians are happy to see plane loads of Marange diamonds they will not be so welcoming to Mugabe. If Mugabe thinks he now has friends in Europe, then he is wrong.

@ Same-same

Mugabe used the money looted from the sell of diamonds to rig the last elections. Increasing his loot will do nothing for the ordinary Zimbabweans. Only CIO, Mugabe cronies and the rest of the ruling and looting elite will benefit.

Others like you, same-same, have lived in hope of getting some of the loot but have yet to get something. Many of have blood on your hands; you have done Mugabe's dirty jobs but have never been paid. You will never be paid.

You live in abject poverty with no water and electricity like the rest of us and yet you are the ones propping up the dictatorship.

Well the dictator is now caught in a trap and the dictatorship is going to collapse. You will get you just reward for all the blood your have shed over the years - hangman's rope round your neck!

Like millions of other Zimbabweans, you would consider yourself luck if you can have one decent meal a day. Owning a diamond ring is the last thing on your mind.

You are celebrating that Zimbabwe can now sell uncut Marange diamonds. You like millions other Zimbabweans will never wear one.

As long as tyrants like Mugabe remain in power the looting will continue and millions of our people will be forced into a life of abject poverty. Their greatest aspiration is for one decent meal. Diamonds will remain a luxury far beyond their rich.

Marange diamonds will not even lift them out of poverty but, with Mugabe in power, it will keep them there.

"Diamonds are forever!" Indeed!

The shallowness of idiots like you is simply unbelievable! You are nothing but a first class idiot

Year the Belgians did take care of Belgians and left the blacks to take care of themselves when they first came to Africa. Read your history and you will know all about it. They are in Zimbabwe to take care of Belgians alright.

2 millions Zimbabweans are facing starvation right now and if the UN does not feed them, they will starve to death. As for the millions of dollars from the sale of Marange diamonds; Mugabe has used $10 m to pay Nikuv and pay for all the bussing of youths to rallies and then to polling stations, etc. He is taking care of the blacks, alright!

As for the masses what else do you want them to do since Mugabe will either violence or looted money to rig elections?

Well Belgium is not the world, let us see if Belgium is going to get grant Mugabe legitimacy now the country has the tyrant's looted diamonds!

Zimbabweans are going to have their democratic freedoms and rights restored. They are many who are scared to see that happen because of what they have been doing these last 33 years. Well they must face justice!

You are really getting desperate now; you think anyone will buy the nonsense that having freedom and liberty is bad for Zimbabwe!
