Free and fair elections is the key to good governance and not an aesthetic additive like colour of the car!

Unemployment is seating at a nauseating 80 to 90%; why does this corrupt and vote rigging gang of thugs find work for them first before asking Zimbabweans in the diaspora to go back.

People know Mugabe’s black empowerment is nothing but the sugar coating of the same policies of gross mismanagement, corruption and looting. Of course, Mugabe and Zanu PF are free to sell whatever they want to the electorate but it should then be left to the people to decide who they believe is best suited to rule.

Whether or not Mugabe’s new black empowerment will, finally bring gutsa ruzhinji, is an interesting question but, in this case, any irrelevant one. By rigging the elections, which Mugabe has done again and again for the last 33 years, Mugabe has effectively denied the people their democratic say.

Zimbabweans have gone through the motion of parties issuing their manifestoes, candidate registering, preparing voters rolls, setting Polling Station, etc. but only to realize at the end of it all that the results were predetermined – a Mugabe and Zanu PF victory – because the whole electoral process was not free, fair and credible. The whole process was loaded in favour of a Mugabe and Zanu PF victory.

Mugabe tried to impose a constitutional one-party state after independence and failed. So he undermined the constitution, the state institution, everything to create a de facto one party state. But for the sake of his own international legitimacy, he has allowed this charade of meaningless elections to go on.

In the days when Ford Motors were total dominance of the car industry, all cars were in one colour – black. “You can have any colour you want as long as it is black!” Henry Ford reportedly told the growing clamour of customers asking for some other colours. It was competition that forced Ford to change his mind. Now customers can have any colour of the rainbow they want!

For 33 years Mugabe has imposed an unwritten rule but one yet to be broken “The people of Zimbabwe can vote for whoever they please, as long as Zanu PF rules!” Mugabe blatantly rigged the 31st July 2013 elections it is nonsense to pretend this was a free, fair and credible elections.

Whilst the colour of a car is an aesthetic additive to the car in that a good car should perform it primary function of getting you from A to B regardless of the colour – Ford cars were and still are a wonderful pieces of engineering; free and fair elections are not an aesthetic luxury. Holding free and fair elections is the heart and soul of good governance. As we can see here, as long as Mugabe and Zanu PF are allowed to rig elections and impose themselves on the nation they will continue to impose their tried and failed policies of mismanagement, corruption and looting as black empowerment and the nation will have no choice but to take this sugar coated cyanide pill.

We are not here to negotiate with Mugabe and Zanu PF what else we should take with their dictatorial rule. We are here to say no to dictatorial rule. We are here to demand free, fair and credible elections; we are not going to accept the results of the 31st July 2013 elections because Mugabe and Zanu PF rigged the elections.

@ Zanu PF panyanga

You say you "want very smart people in government"? And think those who have been in government these last 33 years resulting in this economic and political mess where unemployment soared to 80% and over 30 000 innocent people murdered are smart?

Anyone with eyes can tell you whether it is day or night. But when it comes to telling who is smart and who is not, it takes a smart person to know the difference.

You are clearly not a smart person. You are just one of those Zimbabweans whose brain has been pounded by Zanu PF propaganda for 33 years it has turned into mash. Even today, with hindsight and all the evidence and consequences of this repressive regime weighing down on the nation, and yet you still fail to Mugabe as the corrupt and neurotic tyrant he is.

How can someone so thick reality and reason have completely failed to penetrate that mashed up brain of yours. You are lucky that your brain is still able to control basic functions like breathing and movement of your bowls otherwise you would be wearing a nappy!

As for thinking and saying who is smart and who is not, leave that to those who can think, reason and can see reality. They have been in power for the last 33 years and landed the nation in this hell-hole and you still do not see what is happening.

“Zanu PF panyanga! Zanu PF panyanga!” You are just saying that but do not even know what it means. No, Mugabe will only remain in power this time if he wins free and fair elections. He rigged the 31st July 2013 elections and therefore right now he is illegitimate and will never be accepted.

“Zanu PF panyanga!” My a***!

@ Nkosi

Forget what Tsvangirai has said; we all saw voters being bussed in to vote who clearly did not come or live in the area, that is more than "circumstantial evidence". If you think that can be swept under the carpet then it is you who is gullible.

Mugabe rigged these elections and therefore he is not legitimate and will therefore be treated accordingly regardless of all the steps he has already taken, being sworn in, swearing in the MPs, Cabinet, etc.

If Mugabe thought he would present the world with a fait accompli government complete with a president and parliament he is wrong. The legitimacy of the president and government is derived from the will of the people expressed in free, fair and credible elections and not some swearing in ceremony after rigged elections.

@ Chinotimba

So you rigged the elections and now you want the nation to sweep all that under the carpet in the interest of "peace and progress"!

The nation has done that every time for the last 33 years each time Mugabe cheated in the elections and look where is has landed us. Millions now live in abject poverty because of the years of misrule by Zanu PF and the regime has murdered over 30 000 to establish, retain and enjoy absolute political power. You call that "peace and progress"?

Nonsense this is not peace or progress. This is suffering and brutal repression. This is not the people of Zimbabwe were fighting for and hundreds of thousands died for in the fight to end colonial rule.

For 33 years Mugabe and Zanu PF has rode rough shod over the people's freedoms and rights including the right to free and fair elections. Enough is enough. Mugabe and Zanu PF rigged these 31st July 2013 elections; we all know that. These rogues must not be allowed to get away with it.

By rigging the elections Mugabe can not therefore claim to have authority of the people of Zimbabwe to govern the country. He is illegitimate, mubvandiripo! The people of Zimbabwe have suffered for 33 years the consequences of having a corrupt and autocratic government. Why should they put up with such a regime for another five years?

Mugabe must be told in no uncertain terms now, not in 2018, that rigging elections is a red-line no one will be allowed to cross and get away with it! He rigged the 31 st July elections; he is therefore illegitimate, period! He cheated and therefore he is not president of Zimbabwe; that is not negotiable!

@ Juluka

Mugabe knows the world will never accept him as the legitimate head of state. They have completely ignored him and he, in turn, has sat there afraid to leave Zimbabwe. For a man known for visiting Zimbabwe on his way somewhere else, he has not left Zimbabwe for three months; that is a world record! Now we have to see whether he can stretch that to five years!

The ball is in Mugabe's court.

As for your threat to "deal with you once and for all". I am have just soiled my pants! Even if you have me murdered, the regime has murdered over 30 000 innocent Zimbabweans already I will be just one more, that will not change the fact that Mugabe rigged the election and is therefore illegitimate, a usurper, a bastard, mubvandiripo!

There is nothing more nauseating than Mubvandiripo bossing around the rightful owners, varidzi venhaka!

For 33 years Zimbabweans have put up with this Mubvandiripo achitonga mumba murisi makwe nokuuraya vanhu vasina mhosa! Enough is enough!

This sewer rat must not be allowed to rule and two fingers to your threats!

Yes I will gladly explain "how bussing people" in to vote affected the presidential elections.

Mugabe realised the people of Zimbabwe hated him so much so they were going to vote for the incompetent and blundering Tsvangirai just to get rid of him. So he arranged to have the 35 000 youths, according to Tsvangirai issued with fraudulent voter registration slip which allowed them to vote multiple times.

The buses carried these youths from one Polling Station to another, from one constituency to the next voting for Mugabe and Zanu PF.

It is this multiple voting that resulted in the mathematically impossible voter turner of 100% or more in 27 constituencies. Chipinge East have 141% voter turnout!

There was vote rigging here at a monumental scale and only an idiot would contest that. It is important that the idiots should not have the final say on this!

@ Zanu panyanga

Forget that idiot Tsvangirai; if he had implemented the reforms we would not be in this mess.

I agree since the sham 2008 elections Mugabe had reduced his globe-trotting considerable. No doubt he was aware that many still considering him illegitimate; which of course, he was. If the world had regarding with mistrust then by rigging the vote so blatantly Mugabe has shown the whole world just what a contemptuous tyrant he is.

Whilst the whole world had shown their willingness to deal with Mugabe after Tsvangirai had proven to such a blundering fool. The world could not however ignore the blatant way Mugabe had rigged these elections. Impossible!

You think I am crazy? No it you and your neurotic tyrant who are crazy to think he could blatantly rig elections and the world will turn a blind eye! Not this time!

@ Mavheti

And you think you are serving the people of Zimbabwe by pretending Mugabe did not rig the elections? Mugabe has murdered over 30 000 in his 33 years in power, why not talk about that and not the murders in other distant lands!

You will "personally call the gvt to do a manning on" me. The murderous tyrant in you and this Zanu PF government is coming to the fore. That is exactly what you lot have been doing these last 33 years. I am here to make sure you do not do the same in the next five years.

Mugabe rig the elections and therefore he is illegitimate and therefore all else he has done is illegitimate. So which government are you going to call "to do a manning" on me. An illegitimate government!

@ Tsvimbo

It was not sanctions that cause Zimbabwe's economic melt-down. It was 33 years of gross mismanagement, rampant corruption and all-out looting spree in the last 12 years. These things have continued to happen unchecked because Zimbabwe is a de facto one-party dictatorship. The people of Zimbabwe have been denied their basic freedoms and rights including the right to a meaningful vote.

Mugabe rigged the 31 st July elections to stay in power.

Mugabe and his thugs are making a mountain out of a mole hill on these sanctions. They do not want to talk about the blatant vote rigging and the red-line they crossed by rigging.

The answer to Zimbabwe's economic and political problems is in stopping the scourge of vote rigging and holding free and fair elections. Mugabe must NOT be allowed to get away with vote rigging this time and I am here to see to it that he does not!

@

If I am a "dangerous bharanzi" then what about those who planned to rig the elections and wasted millions of dollars in seeing these criminal plans through? What would you call those on this site who have working over time to sweep these dirty and scandalous acts under the carpet?

Dangerous Bharanzi or not, this much I know: Zimbabweans have suffered enough under this tyranny and they deserve a government that cares about their suffering. I am here to see to it that they do get such a government.

And I really do not give a fvck what a moron like you have to say about it. You can threaten me all you like.

Zimbabwe is not going to be governed by an illegitimate regime who rigged elections; that is the course I am sailing and try to stop!

@ Mavheti

Mugabe rigged the elections. How can the man who rigged the elections be a hero and me, for pointing out the blatant act of treachery be called a "traitor". Considering that those calling me traitor have blood on over 30 000 innocent Zimbabweans on their hands - it is clear why.

You lot have rigged elections, beaten, raped and even murdered to stay in power and now you are doing it out of habit and to make sure your never have to account for your past.

Well tough shit! The people of Zimbabwe have suffered for 33 years and it is totally unacceptable that they should be expected to suffer another day more. This reign of terror must come to an end right now. Not tomorrow. Not in five years time! Right now.

Mugabe cheated in the 31 st July 2013 elections and so he is illegitimate. Zimbabwe is going to have a legitimate head of state elected by the people in a free and fair elections. The usurper can do what he pleases but staying in power is a NO!

@ Zanu panyanga

Tsvangirai made a blunder when he dropped the court challenge of the rigged elections. It was not his first blunder and no doubt it would not be his last; that is the thing about blundering idiots like him, you can count on him to blunder. Still he has since realized that dropping the case was a blunder because there is overwhelming evidence.

The AU and SADC observers knew Mugabe rigged the elections and that is why they could not bring themselves to say the elections were credible but had to qualify with "generally".

The rest of the world saw the evidence for themselves and the rigging was too blatant to ignore.

Tsvangirai is only responding to the outside world's reaction and trying to make himself relevant again. Ndivo vanamucheka dzafa.

Still by running with this, Tsvangirai is making for once making Mugabe squirm on this vote rigging and illegitimacy issue and the blundering idiot is enjoying it. Not that anyone can blame Tsvangirai after all the abuse Mugabe has dished out all these years; Tsvangirai has the right to pay the tyrant with the same coin.

SADC got Mugabe off the hook last time but not this time. Mugabe has made his fellow SADC leaders look second best at best these last five years. There is little they will do with Tsvangirai's dossier other than get confirmation of what they knew already.

Then there is the issue of Nikuv revealing what happened. I doubt if Mugabe paid them enough to buy their silence forever!

Mugabe thought he would get away with vote rigging but it is only now that he is realizing that it was infinitely easier to rig the elections and impossible to get away with the crime.

It is almost as if everyone dared him to rig the elections knowing he will be caught in his own trap! Now that he is truly caught, everyone is pretending not to notice.

Mugabe is nothing but ungrateful Mr Know-it-all whom everyone went out of their way to help and he thanked them by going out of his way to insult and belittle them. Fed up by his arrogance and insult; everyone let him to his mischief. Now Mugabe seating in his own shit and looking sheepishly innocent hoping someone would help him. No one is lifting a finger!
